Welcome back Girlygirl! We missed ya and we even saved some m&m's to ya (tosses a bag to Girlygirl).

I'm not too worried about the new girl, I'm with the majority of people here who also believe that it would be pointless to build d/l up and bring it down. It's like race, and stopping at the finish line, it doesn't make sense.

And good lord many posts to catch up on... I'm way too excited for Season 3. (to which there are 79 days remaining... well, 78 in about 6 minutes).

From the sounds of it, most of this has already been said and for anyone on the D/L board this is going to be redundancy kicking in... but it's true that TPTB would not likely devote a solid chunk of S2 to developing D/L only to have it shot dead by the new chick. We also don't know if a) it's even true since this is WAAAAAAY early to be getting spoilers that detailed (we didn't even get stuff this detailed for the finale), and b) since they all carry the title of "Detective", it's entirely possible that Flack's getting a new partner. (I'm also skeptical beacuse there's no mention of who's playing her... if they're bringing in a new character, woudl they not have found someone already?) I don't know it's all up in the air. Til there's some more solid evidence (haha), I'm not going to get myself all up in a knot over it.

I wouldn't want Flack to have a partner. None of the other cops on CSI: and CSI:Miami do -- well, Brass works with Sofia a lot, but she's not really his partner.

I'm thinking that what will end up bringing them together will be Lindsay's dark secret. She'll think that she can deal with her demons on her own -- whatever they may be -- and Mac's like, "Nuh uh, girlfriend *snaps*" and sends Danny to check on her. Danny checks on Lindsay; there is frustration at the inability to change anything and tears. Danny holds her through the night and when she wakes up we have this:

Lindsay- You didn't have to stay, Danny.
Danny- Yeah, I kinda did.
Lindsay- Did Mac...
Danny- Mac asked me to come over, but I woulda come anyway.
Lindsay- Why?
Danny- Look, I know I ain't much, but I'd be here for ya, always. Like I was last night. I'd never let anyone hurt ya, not ever again.
