Danny / Flack #4 - I've Got Your Back

Awsome!! Danny/Flack pics! No, it's not just you, he's totally staring at Danny! Yeah, they are holding back big time! They totally want each other! All those pics are incredible 1CSIMfan! They're all excellent!

 

Teh Fay is trying to start writing fanfic, but I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet because it's been absymal so far. :lol: I've read so much smut and porn that you'd think I'd be able to write it by now! :lol:

Danny/Jack Sparrow? I don't suppose Flack was in the crow's nest with a telescope, spying on them? I don't think it's possible for Flack's lurve (*cough*obsession*cough*) to not cross into any other fiction. :lol:

I want to see Danny in a "Drama Queen" crown--is it pink plastic with glitter and maribou feather trim? :devil:

Danny does have a lot of issues--one of my favorite things about D/F fanfic is that, even in the really smutty PWP stories, Flack is (usually) right there for him. Flack is Danny's rock (*cough* and his 'hard place' *cough* :devil, and I really love that support. I also love that, whatever issues Danny may have, he really opens up to Flack and trusts him. *huggles the boys*

I know! It's great how he is able to trust Flack and opens up to him. It's so lovely! They have such a great friendship and relationship [based on fanfics] *hugs the boys with Faylinn*

 

Slashy-goodness aside, I think that most fanfics do an excellent job of expanding on the friendship established on the show. (Wow, Fay used big words ) The writers for the show might not be forthcoming with scenes between the two of them, but I think the little moments that we've been given have gone a long way to show us how close their friendship is. I mean, in "Heroes," Danny was all over the place, couldn't keep still, barely listened to Mac telling him to chill out--but then Flack walked in, spoke about Aiden a little bit (which I think is what Danny wanted--to talk about Aiden rather than just her murder) and then got him back on track with the Marine case. Who else could have done that?

 

Oh, my god. Do you realize how dirty that sounded? I mean, "opening up to Flack" :devil:.

 

You brought an excellent episode example Faylinn! I loved it when Flack came in and did that. So great. I do too! The fanfics do a great job with that! It's great to see them interacting, talking, and even arguing with each other. They always look out for each other in the end.

 

jorja, on some level I intend every comment to be dirty. :lol: It might not be the conscious level, but as you point out, it happens anyway.

By the way, for anyone who reads the stories by rollins'girl on ff.net, she posted a new one that's post-"Blink." You wouldn't expect many stories written now to deal with an episode that old, but it's nice the way she ties a bit of S2 into the story. It's not smutty, though, but it does show how Danny 'opens up and trusts' Flack (in the non-dirty way).

 

I've read that earlier today! I really liked it. She can write so well. I'm looking forward to 3 of her stories to be updated now! I wasn't expecting it go back a season either, but it's stll real good.

 

Yeah, rollins'girl can definitely write well. Let me tell you, reading great fanfic doesn't make a person really confident about their own writing skills. :lol:

I just read this really great story called "Field of Dreams" by laguera25 on LJ--it wasn't D/F, it was just about Flack, but it was absolutely wonderful. *gushes* I dunno if I could link to it here (it's rated FRT, what is that equivalent to? It's got references to sexual anatomy in it, so it's better to be safe than sorry I suppose), but I'll PM the link to anyone that wants it. Here's the description for the story:

"Baseball is the stuff of magic and dreams, and Don Flack, Jr. has always loved it. It is the one thread between him and his aloof father that has never been broken, even after all else has slipped away. But every magic and all dreams fade if left untended."

I always love stories that have some background for Flack because at this point all we know is that his dad was a legendary cop. Danny's past isn't all that clear either, but compared to Flack there's a whole novel there. So I like this fic, and it's a perfect fit for Flack's backstory as far as I'm concerned (and could perhaps show why he's just so damn devoted to Danny--determined to be a loving cop, methinks? ). You might need a hanky though, I did. *sniff*

 

Faylinn, you are so right! I thought I wrote all right until I read some awsome fanfics and now my writing looks like crap! :lol: Makes you feel like a bad writer reading their stuff.

aaah i'm just like you fay i'm putting off writing a fanfic. i have like 10 mini storylines that don't come together the plot bunnies haven't friended me yet...

i mean ok, we've established that we all pretty much LIVe down in the gutter. but it just prods dirty thoughts into my mind :devil:

...totally wrong, I know...I am disturbed by the twisted nature of my own mind. *shudder*
