CSI:NY Wherever love takes us (Stella centered fic.)

Chapter 52:

“Hey Mac, where are we going?” Stella looked at him, he had just turned the car in the opposite direction than their home.

“I just want you to look at something first honey.” He smiled as he turned further down the road.

After another 10 minutes of secrecy, Mac stopped outside a house near central park, something about the house reminded her a little of Stuart little.

“What are we doing here?” Stella looked at Mac, he still wasn’t talking.

“Take Lilly would ya?” Mac smiled as he picked up Sara and Julie and went towards the house.

“Okay, but wait up.” She laughed, Mac seemed so nervous.

“Like it?” Mac smiled as he almost dragged her further inside the house.

“It’s ours if we want it, I’ve been through it with the bank advisor, we can afford it.” He smiled even more, from one ear to the other actually.

”Are you serious? This can be ours?” Stella couldn’t believe her own eyes, this was what she’d always dreamt of, and it was big enough for all 7 of them, including Angie and Vanessa of course.

”Yes, I’m very serious, but you just need to look at one more thing.” He almost dragged her and the kids to the garden, a beautiful garden, and big, she could just imagine sitting in the grass, playing with the kids.

”Wow Mac, this is fabulous.” She kissed him, but tried not to hurt the kids.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Come on Angie, hurry up…” Stella laughed, they had shared the best times in this apartment, but was now moving out.

”Don’t worry mom, this is my last box.” Angie laughed too, “Do you think Danny and Lindsay will be okay with the troops? I mean, Vanessa in her self can be a challenge, but with the trips…”

“They’ll be alright, they promised to call me if there was anything.” Stella carried her last box out of the apartment, followed by Angie.

Mac was already at the new place, just finishing up some things, before they would arrive with their last stuff.

“Are you okay mom?” Angie looked at her, Stella hadn’t even realised that she had stopped halfway down the stairs.

“Yea, it’s just, a lot have happened on the last 4 years, since I should’ve married your dad.” Stella looekd away for a second, to hide the tear that was running down her cheek, she was happy now, with Mac and their family but she still missed Jimmy somehow.

“I know Mom. But if it makes a difference, I’m happier than ever now, I still miss dad, sure, and I miss Mom, but I have you and Mac now, and three sisters and a daughter. Life couldn’t be much better for me.” Angelina continued down the stairs, so did Stella, the box was pretty heavy.

Chapter 53:

“Ssch Lilly, why are you still awake honey? Your sisters are all sound asleep?” Stella stroked her daughters hair, before she looked at Mac.

“Thanks Mac, for taking me back to life, for giving me this perfect family, I love you so much.” She leaned forward and kissed him.

“I should thank you, you know? I’ve never been happier in my life.” Looking at one of their daughters babbling, made both Mac and Stella realise in that moment, that they had always been meant to be together.

“3, 2, 1…” Stella smiled as Sara and Julie started crying, soon waking up Vanessa, and back to square one.

”Here, you take Lilly, I’ll get the others, and wake up Angelina, if she isn’t already up.” Stella left the bedroom and went to Angelinas room, her lovely 17 year old daughter was already awake, ready to go get Vanessa.

“Hey Mom.” She smiled as she walked past Stella to Vanessas room, Stella walked just across the hallway to the triplets nursery.

“Hey Girls, why are you two already awake again?” Stella smiled as she picked up a girl carefully on each arm and carried them to the bedroom where Mac was playing with Lilly.

“Aww, there are they.” Mac smiled, he loved his daughters, including Angelina and her daughter, more than anything.

Stella sat down on the bed, Mac carefully laid down Lilly between them as he took Julie and rocked her carefully back and forth while Stella fed Sara.

“Ssch now my little Angel.” Mac whispered, while stroking Julies hair.

Stella smiled, by the sight of her husband, rocking their daughter back and forth while whispering to try to comfort her.

“What are you laughing at Honey?” Mac looked at her, she kept smiling, “I’m not laughing, I’m smiling, you two are so adorable.

Mac blushed slightly as he looked at Lilly, she had fallen asleep on the bed, and was now babbling in her sleep.

“Look at them Stella, they are so beautiful..” He smiled, Stella could’ve sworn she saw a tear in the corner of his eye.

“I know, they look like me.” They laughed, but Mac nodded, “They do.”

“The only thing we are missing now, is a dog to run around and look after our family.” Stella smiled, so did Mac.

”Then let’s get a dog, we could go tomorrow, as a family trip, I mean, I have a day off.” He looked her in the eyes, she nodded.

“That’s what we’ll do.”

It gets worse later on, trust me Natty. Much worse. Well i'll post 2 updates in one this time, I'm so looking forward to a couple of the storylines i have later on in the story :D

Chapter 54:

“Buffy! Bella!” Angelina laughed, the two puppies had assaulted her again, but she loved them very much already.

“You alright Honey?” Stella laughed as Angelina nodded, “Fine.”

“Mommy!” Vanessa laughed as she looked at Angie fighting with the dogs.

“Did you hear that? She said mommy! Mom she called me mommy!” Angies voice was filled with happiness, and Stella knew why, it was a huge thing when your kid called you mom for the first time, even though Stella only knew from when Angie started to see her as her mom.

“Yes, I heard it honey.” Stella looked at Vanessa, who was soon picked up by her mom.

“Did you just say mommy? Did you?” Angelina smiled even more as Vanessa repeated what she ad just said with a huge grin on her face.

“I thought that was what you said.” Angie kissed Vanessas forehead, but Stellas attention was drawn away as Mac entered the living room.

”Hey Honey, how was your day?” Stella kissed him, he smiled.

”Business as usual, the team is looking forward to you come back to work next week.”

“I know, I just cant believe the girls are starting in day care already, time is going so fast.” Stella smiled as Angie took over.

”Vanessa just said Mommy.” Mac smiled by the look on Angies face, Stella knew just how much Vanessa meant to her, even though it had been difficult at first, but Angie had grown with role as a mother.

“She did? Aww, she’s so adorable.” Mac stroked both Angie and Vanessas cheek before he went to take a shower.

“Mom, I was thinking to start skating again, just as a hobby, I know I wont be able to live from it anymore, but I miss the rush in competing.” Angie looked at her, Stella smiled.

”That’s a good idea Honey, we should see of we can find a coach, see where it takes you.” Stella knew that figure skating had been Angies life, but she couldn’t be so much into it this time, because of Vanessa.

“Thanks mom, I really appreciate your support.”

Chapter 55:

“Detective Taylor, crimescene.” Stella flashed her badge before entering an old building, a double homicide, a man and a woman, no id yet.

“Hey Flack, what’ve we got?” Stella smiled by the look on Flacks face, he hadn’t expected her at work before the morning.

“A male DOA, approximately 40 years old, the same with the female, no id on the vics yet, and of course, no one saw anything so far.”

“Of course, well let me know as soon as you find anything. Where’s Danny by the way? Shouldn’t he be here?” She looked around Flack nodded.

“He’s just taking a short walk, he needs to think about something Lindsay told him.” Flack smiled, “He’ll be back anytime.”

Stella was about to process as her phone rang, of course.

“Detective Taylor?”

“Mom, they called from the triplets day care. Lilly is burning with a fever, they said it came out of thin air.” Angelina was obviously worried.

“What did you tell them?”

“That I would call you, and you would probably be there withing 30 minutes.” Angelina seemed to calm down a bit by hearing Stellas voice.

“You were right, I’ll go there right away, could you call Mac for me?” Stella knew that it was probably nothing to worry about, but her daughter was burning with fever, she couldn’t help but worry.

“Sure Mom.”

Stella hung up and looked at Flack.

”They called from the daycare, Lilly is burning with fever, I’m sorry, I got to go.” She had almost left the scene as Flack said that it was alright.

All the way to the daycare Stella worried about what could be wrong with her little girl, even though Stella knew that a single trip to the doctor would probably help them out and she would be fine in a few days.

Chapter 56:

“It’s okay Mac, she’ll be fine, doctor told me not to worry. If she didn’t get better within a couple of days, I should bring her back there, but he is pretty sure that she just caught a flu.” Stella knew that Mac was worried sick, but he couldn’t leave work, he was working on another high-profile case.

“I know Honey, but they’re just so small and fragile, I cant help but worry.” Mac was so cute when he did that, worried so much that he couldn’t keep his head clear.

“They are fine, all three of them. Just finish your case, I’ll stay home another couple of days to look after Lilly.” Stella smiled by herself, she knew exactly how much the girls meant to him.

“Okay, I’ll see you tonight then, I love you.”

“I love you too.” Stella hung up the phone and went to the livingroom where Lilly was sitting in her chair, while the dogs ran around in the room and played.

“Hey sweetie, are you tired? The doctor said you needed plenty of rest.” Stella smiled as she picked up her daughter. “Here we go.”

She carried Lilly back to the nursery, and tugged her in.

“Sweet dreams Honey.” Stella turned off the lights and went back to the livingroom after checking up on Julie and Sara.

“Mom?” Angelinas voice was proud, but a little nervous, “Mom are you home?”

“Yea, I’m in here Honey.” Stella smiled as Angelina entered the livingroom.

“How was practise?” Stella had actually missed that sentence, she had always been so proud of Angelinas figure skating, but she was also proud of Angie and her daughter.

“Great, Coach says I’m catching up. I’ll be able to compete already next season.” Angelina hugged her mom before she sat down next to her in the couch.

“That’s great honey, I’m glad you’ve foung the time to continue.”

”So am I, isn’t Mac in yet?” Angelina looked around, Stela laughed, “It took me almost a half hour to convince him to stay at work for the rest of his shift.

“Of course, I’ll go pick up Vanessa from day-care, I’ll see you soon.” Angelina took out the stroller, they weren’t living far from Vanessas daycare, and Angie loved walking with her daughter.

“See you Honey.” Stella looked at Buffy and Bella that were both now laying peacefully in one end of the couch.

“Buffy, Bella come over here.” Stella laughed as both dogs assaulted her and licked her in the face.

Chapter 57:

“I don’t know how she does it. I mean, working fulltime at the crimelab, while taking care of the triplets, having a great realationship with Mac, and looking after me and Vanessa.” Angelina looked at Daphne, it was actually right, her mom was a multi person.

“Neither do I, but I think you do a fabulous job with Vanessa.” Daph smiled, she was a real good friend, just like Brianna.

“I hope so, it’s a little hard making school, and figureskating fit into life as a fulltime mom.” Angelina laughed.

“I bet, well, I only have school and figureskating to fit together, and that’s hard enough.” Daph looked at a coffeeshop not far from where they were walking.

“What do you say? Should we go get a latte?” The two girls walked laughing towards the coffeeshop, Vanessa was by her great grandparents today.

“You know, shopping is hard work.” Daph looked at all the bags she had been carrying, and Angie had been carrying just as many.

“Yea, well, christmas shopping has never been easy. I hope Mom likes her present.” Angie smiled, she knew that her mom was very busy, but she recalled one of the best times they had ever had together, it was before her dad died, they were at the rink together, it had been so much fun.

So of course, she had bought her mom skates. She could barely wait to see her reaction.

“I’m sure she will, what are you giving Vanessa?” Daph looked at Angies bags.

“I don’t know yet, that’s what I’m going to find out next.” Angie had been twisting her mind to think of a christmas present for her daughter, but it wasn’t exactly easy.

“What about Mac? Are you giving him a present?” Daph still smiled, she hadn’t figured out what exactly Mac and Angies relatonship where, friends or a father daughter thing, but honestly, Angie didn’t really know either.

“I’m giving him a medal, saying: worlds greatest step-dad. You don’t think he will be offended by it do you?”

“No, I think he’ll love it. I’m giving my mom a necklace, a heart shaped medallion, with a picture of me, and my mom, and my mom. Well, actually, that’s what I’m giving both of them.” Daph was adopted, and she was fine with it, even though kids used to tease her at school, because she had 2 mothers.

“Sounds like a great idea…” Angie looked out the window, she had to make sure to remember to get the words “I love you mom.” Written on the skates, with golden thread.

“You know… I think you should talk to your mom about… about Lucas, I mean, with Vanessa and all, it might be best if you told her.” Daph looked at her, there was nothing judgemental about her look, just a friendly look.

“I know, but, I don’t know If she would approve, I mean, when was with Michael I first got my self involved with a hostage situation, and then I got pregnant. What if she wont like him?” Angie heard the confusion in her voice.

”Your mom loves you, no matter what, and she knows that you can take a reasonable decision, you have a daughter, you take care of your daughter, you’ve proved that you are responsible.”

Okay, here comes a little twisted chapter - referring to the news Lindsay gave Danny earlier, Haven't put much wait on this storyline, but there will be now. :D

Chapter 60:

“Don’t worry Honey, she’ll be alright. It’s just a date.” Mac smiled.

“Yes, but, do you think he knows about Vanessa? Hes 19 she’s only 17.” Stella started, she knew what Mac was going to say.

“That’s just 2 years Honey, I’m much more than 2 years older than you.” He kissed her hair.

“She needs to spend time with boys even though she already have a daughter right?”

“I know, I’m just a little worried about her…” She smiled as Mac laughed, “Honey, you’re worried sick.”

“You’re right, I should calm down, she’s a responsible girl.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Mom?” Angelina was standing in the door to the bedroom, looked at them with a worried look on her face.

“What is it honey?” Stella sat up, still not completely awake.

“Flacks in the phone, he wants to talk to you.” Angelina seemed to calm down a bit as Stella got out of bed.

“Thanks Honey, go back to bed.” Stella got up and answered their phone.

“Don? What’s wrong?” Something had to be wrong, he had called the landline.

“Danny’s in labour and Lindsay is missing.” Don babbled out in such a rush

“Don! You’re not making sense, one more time, from the top Who’s in labour?” Stella tried not to laugh, but Don wasn’t making the least bit sense.

“Sorry, Lindsay is in Labour, I cant find Danny, she said he wasn’t at home, he isn’t answering his cell, and Lindsay is panicked by the thought of giving birth alone.”

“I’ll go to the hospital, you find Danny okay?” Stella hung up the phone the minute Don agreed.

She rushed to the bedroom to wake up Mac, and get dressed.

“Honey, wake up.” She waited patiently for Mac to open his eyes before she continued. “I gotta go to the hospital, Lindsay’s in labour, and Danny is no where to be found.” She kissed him as he nodded, and asked her to give the mom-to-be his congrats.

Stella went to the nursery and kissed the triplets goodbye before she rushed out of the door.
