Chapter 66:
Walking back and forth down the hallway, Mac realised that he could lose the love of his life, and Angie, poor Angie could lose her mother again.
What if she didn’t make it? Their kids would have to grow up without a mom.
“Excuse me? Detective Taylor?” A nurse was looking at him.
“Yes? Is she alright? Will she make it?”
“We don’t know yet, we had to perform an emergency c-section, while working on keeping your wife alive, one of the kids, didn’t make it, he was killed by the stab. Luckily your wife were as far along as she were, which resulted in the two other boys being strong enough to survive. If you’d follow me, you can go see your 2 new sons.” The nurse smiled as she led Mac down the hallway.
“Over there, they are both healthy.” The nurse smiled as she left Mac alone with his sons.
“Hey there, Hi…” He picked up both the boys and held them close to his chest as he walked to the nearest chair and sat down with them.
He rocked the boys carefully back and forth, praying that his Stella would make it.

“Honey, no. Don’t…” Mac looked at her, “You’re not allowed to lift that. Stella, You’ll get yourself hurt, listen to me.”
“But Mac…” She knew it wouldn’t help, but she was already sick of not being allowed to do anything.
“You came back from the hospital yesterday, you shouldn’t even be up and about.” He lifted her off the ground and carried her to the couch.
“Sit!” He commanded, and laughed at her as she said in an offended tone; “I’m not a dog.”
“Stay! Stella, Stay!” Mac continued.
Stella laughed as she left the couch and pushed him into it instead.
“No! Stella! Bad puppy!” He smiled, but as she laid down on top of him and kissed he changed his mind, and between their sweet kisses, he mumbled, “mm, well, good puppy.”
