Once the mess was cleaned up the kids did up the dishes while Anya and Mackenzie bathed the little ones.

"Hey Anya? How you feeling lately? You seem a little more happy."

"I am Mackenzie. It's still hard some days. I can feel myself slip back when I forget to take my meds, or just before it's time too. I can feel myself become really angry, especially towards Michael. But he's so patient and understands."

"Aww..yeah. My brothers always been like that. He's amazing when it comes to those he loves and cares about. How are the kids handling the child Psychologist?"

"Tyler's okay with it. Caroline isn't to sure. She's trying to handle it on her own. Then other times she wishes she could live with her papa and nana like MJ does."

"Aww..I'm sorry. I guess it can't be easy for any of you not having MJ home. But he's doing great here with mom and dad. I mean he's just started using a cane, and only walks with a limp now. His speech has picked up, though his muscle tone is still weak in some areas."

"Yeah...that's true. I just wish he could forgive me. I mean he didn't even look my way once. It makes it so hard on all of us as a family."

"I know it does Anya. But let me tell you something. MJ is alot like Michael. When Mick was young he could hold a grudge for months, or even years before letting heal. Especially if it hurt him in his heart. Just give MJ time. He'll come around soon. Until then all you can do is keep telling him you love him."

After they had the little ones in bed they headed back downstairs.

"Mom...can MJ and I sit out on the patio for a while."

"Sure Lindsay. But only on the porch, and you kids keep the light on."

"Yes mom. Geezz."

Helping MJ outside they sat on the lovers swing. Taking her hand in his, he leaned over and kissed her quickly on the lips.

'I looove Yooou."

"I love you too MJ. Alot."

Laying her head on his shoulder they watched the waves hit the shore.

Back inside the adults had coffee while the older children played video games.

"Mom...has MJ talked anymore about coming home?"

"No son. He hasn't mentioned it at all. Everytime we approach the subject he walks away. I wish I had better news for you. But I don't. Though he did have a sweet crush on his Therapist. Till Lindsay gave her the look, and she explained that her and MJ were just friends. Leanne has even planned a double date for them all when MJ is able to walk fully. Kind of like a reward for doing great."

"Yeah. I like Leanne. She's wonderful with MJ. I can't blame him for the crush. She's very pretty." he teased.

Walking back in on the conversation MJ said...

"Who's pretty dad?"

"Leanne son. Your therapist."

"Tsk...whatever Uncle Michael. She can be as pretty as she wants. But MJ is mine. So she can keep her hands off him."

Everyone laughed.

"Aww...sweet innocence. It's the cutest." Smiled Mackenzie.

With everyone gone home Mac helped MJ get ready for bed.

"Papa..."

"Mhmmm...what is it son?"

"Are yoou haaappy I'm heere?"

"Of course son. Your nana and I love having you. You are wonderful and we love you so much."

"I looove yooou too paaapaa."

Reaching up he hugged his papa tightly.

"Ooohhh.....free hugs. Where's mine?"

Sitting on the bed MJ gave his nana a nice tight hug too.

"Mm..thank you. You give lovely hugs MJ. I love you, have a good sleep."

"I wiiil naanaa...niiight."

"Night MJ. Angels watch over you and keep you safe."

Leaving his room Mac took Stella's hand and pulled her towards him.

"What is it Mac?"

Looking passionately into her eyes. Stella knew exactly what he was thinking, and hoping.

"I know Mac. It's going to be okay. One step at a time. We still have a long way to go before any decisions are made."

Walking towards their room Michelle asked....

"Daddy can I get your help?"

"Why aren't you in bed young lady? It's late you have school in the morning."

"I know daddy. But I need help with my math homework. I just don't understand it."

"You go ahead to bed love. I'll be there shortly."

Kissing her on the lips Mac headed into his daughters room.

"Okay sweetheart. What are we working on?"

"Fractions daddy I hate them."

"Hmm..let's see what we can do to help you understand."

Meanwhile Stella had finished her shower when the phone rang from the other side of the world.

"Hello."

"Mom...it's Maddy."

"Maddy?? What's the matter sweetheart? You sound upset."

"There was an accident during the expeditionary practices with one of the explosion weapons. Mathew was involved in a large blast. He's dead mom. He's gone from our lives forever. I'm in so much pain mom. I'm all alone now with the boys who are so depressed and lost like me. I need to come home. Home to you, daddy and our family."

"Oooohh...sweetheart. I'm so sorry. Hold on love. I'll get daddy for you."

Running into Michelle's room Mac could see his wife was distressed.

"What is it love? Why are you crying?"

"It's Maddy Mac. There's been an accident. Mathew is dead."

Running down the hall Mac answered the phone. After talking with his daughter for another hour. Mac hung up the phone and booked a flight to pick up Maddy and the boys at the base.

"How long will you be Mac?"

"I'm not sure love. We'll be bringing home Mathews body. So you will need to inform the family to be prepared."

"I will Mac. You have a safe flight there and back with our daughter and grandchildren."

"I will love. I promise to call you when I land."

Kissing her good bye he left out the door.

"Mommy....what happened with my sister?"

"Her husband died sweetheart. So daddy is bringing Maddy and the boys home."

"How long will daddy be gone?"

"I'm not sure sweetheart. They have alot to do before they come home. Don't worry though, daddy will call when he lands."

"Can I sleep with you tonight mom?"

"Of course love. Get into my bed. I'll be up soon."

"Where you going mom?"

"I have to call the family sweetheart. You just get some rest."

Heading downstairs Stella called Mackenzie and Eric first.

"Mmm hello."

"Mackenzie love...sorry to wake you. I have some sad news for you."

"What?? What news mom? Is it MJ?"

"No love. I got a call from Maddy tonight. Mathew was killed this afternoon during expeditionary practices."

"No...say this isn't true mom. We just talked to Maddy this morning."

"I know love. Your dad has gone to bring Maddy, the boys and the body home. he left an hour ago."

"Oooh mom. How's Maddy going to get through this. Her poor boys. They must be so confused and angry."

"They are. Maddy said they weren't doing to well. If you could do me a favour and call Michael for me. That way I can call Don and Danny with the news."

"Sure mom. Are you going to be okay?"

"I'll be fine once I know Maddy is fine. Don't worry love. I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Okay. Night mom. I love you."

"I love you too Mackenzie."

"What's going on Mac?"

"Maddy's husband Mathew died this afternoon during one of his practices. Daddy's gone to bring Maddy and the boys home. I need to call Michael."

"Aww..I'm sorry Mackenzie. How's mom doing?"

"I'm not sure. She sounded normal. But inside I could tell she was hurting."

"I'm sorry. You call Michael. I'll make some coffee for us."

Walking downstairs Eric wondered when the bad aura that surrounded them all was going to leave for good.

hey you didn't answer my question. When will they talk already
sorry Melly I have other things on my mind:p:)

Im looking forward to all these storylines
The only story lines left. Are the ones with Anya, Michael, and MJ. The one with Griffin ended after he was killed for now. Till they find the shooter which will continue later in future chapters.;)

From now till the end of this fic. I will focus on Maddy and her children. Along with MJ/Anya/Michael

Hope this helps:)

Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune

When Mac arrived at the Airport in North Carolina he was met by one of the Officers.

"Good evening sir. I'm James Hudson. I'll take you over to your daughters temporary living quarters sir."

Following the young man to his vehicle. Mac got in with concern for his daughter.

"We are very sorry for yours and your daughters loss sir. Mathew was a great Marine who possesed many skills and promise in our unit. He will be missed. We arrived back at Camp Lejeune this morning with your sons body and three others in our unit."

Mac wanted to talk. He wanted to say something, anything. But nothing would come. Pulling into his daughters driveway he seen her standing at the door with tear stained eyes.

"Thank you son."

"You're welcome sir. We will see you in the morning for the Memorial before Mathew is taken back to Miami."

Nodding that he understood Mac walked up the pathway as his daughter came running down and gripped him so tightly soaking him in her tears.

"Daaaaaddy....he's gone. He's gone daddy. He's never coming home to us. I can't live without him daddy. This isn't fair. How could God do this to me and our boys. How daddy?"

"Shh...come on Maddybee. It's going to be okay sweetheart. Daddy's got you. It's okay. Just calm down love. Let it all out. Shh...where's the boys?"

"They're upstairs daddy. They won't come out of their rooms. Please make us all better daddy. Please take away our pain. Please daddy. Just bring Mathew back."

Mac could feel himself tearing up inside. How the hell could he help his baby or his grandbabies when he couldn't do what she was asking him. When he knew he could never bring him back.

Back in Miami Don stopped by to make sure Stella, Michelle, and MJ were doing okay without Mac.

"Hey Stel. How's everything going here?"

"It's good Don. I heard from Mac last night. Maddy's not doing well at all. They've had to sedate her. She keeps asking her father to bring Mathew back. Then of course Mac feels useless because he knows it's the one thing he can't do."

"How are the boys Stel?"

"Mac says that Grayson is doing okay. But Gregory hasn't accepted it. He still thinks his daddy is coming home."

"Aww Stel. It's such a tough age for him to understand any of this. What is he now three?"

"Yeah and Grayson is ten."

Don could see Stella tear up. Wrapping her in his arms he held her tight while she cried.

Over at the Delko's the girls were pushing Mackenzie's last nerve.

"Sara...it's my turn. Now give it to me. Quit being such a brat."

"You're the brat Shannon. My time isn't up yet."

Waking Eric Jr with their screams Mackenzie ended the argument.

"That's it. Both of you to your room now. You are both grounded till I say you can come out. I said now!!!"

Stomping upstairs and slamming their doors caused Eric Jr to scream more. Picking him up in her arms, she sat down with him over her shoulder.

"Shh...come on Eric. Shh...let's go son back to sleep."

Continuing to rock him she didn't see the girls sneak out the back patio door.

"Damn it Shannon if mom finds out we're gone she's gonna be really upset. Not to mention what daddy will do. Remember when Sharon took off, mom called dad and he dragged her home in front of all her friends embarrassing her."

"Just relax Sara. Mom's busy with Eric Jr now. We have lots of time."

"What if daddy comes home early?"

"Daddy never comes home early. He's always at work."

"Fine. Let's go but if we get caught I'm blaming it all on you."

Giggling Shannon could care less. She was use to being at the receiving end of her moms temper.

Aw, Danny leave without knowing the great news of her wife having another of their lovely child. Hmm, I guess it's the best to tell him face to face instead of calling him over at Canada and made him shock? Gave him a surprise! He would have been very happy to hear about it. I love how their parents care about the child even though they're not going to be at home for a certain time. For example, Eric and Danny asking their wife to send their kisses to their kids. Hmm, they got a hit! Would it be easy to capture her? She's quite smart. Well, a big house.. Must have lots of place to hide and lots of windows and doors to escape.

I'm proud of Lindsay! She did great in telling Danny about Natalia. Would have been good for Danny to stay with her wife during her pregnancy. In case she's alone at home, Danny would be there for her. Relieved that Eric never planned to go alone. It might have been a trap or dangerous there. That so-called doctor... I'm afraid that she would do whatever it takes to save her own life from going into prison. She had everything planned.
Always I can read your mind.
Eeeee.. :adore: That was LOVELY! Stella is one of the dragon inside Mac's brain. It would always been great to know that a couple could read each other's mind. They know what's the best for each other in a way that is impossible to explain.

Glad that Eric called back home and arrived safely at Canada. Oh.. I'm sure Eric won't lay his eyes on any other women. He's not that kind of guy and he really loves Mackenzie. They've been through alot together. I'm sure there's nothing that can come between them. Those Ups and downs they face together made them realise how important they are to each other. I wonder what would happen if Mac went to Canada, what's the answers he need? Hmm, would have been why Jill wanted to harm his child and grandchildren? Maybe it's the best for him to stay where he is now. His family needs him, his former team needs him. Griffin might have been a tricky guy after all. Danny needs Mac's help in case he can't find anything to prove that Griffin's guilty. Well, Bonasera woman sounds very nice.. Love it when Mac have to give in to "HIS" Bonasera Woman. Aw, it's been a long time since I read that last part. It made me.. :adore: Calm, safe and peaceful in a tranquil place which is also known as inside Mac's arms.

Don.. Don.. He's a great police and a leader who fights for justice. Protects his country and his friends and family. I'm afraid that he will get emotionally involved in getting Griffin that psychopath. It might push his health and job on the verge of the line. Someday, he'll learn how to let go.. He tried his best to catch Griffin. I'm sure that guy will get what he deserved. Jill, gaving up his life because of this. She might have a new start after what she've been through. But she chose to help Griffin. When she dropped from the fall, Jill will have heart attack and died before she reached the ground and hit the rock. Anyhow, I wonder if, someone has already get to a highest rank and done something wrong. When he/she thought that he/she lost everything, he/she never wanted to start a new life with nothing. He/She would just choose death to be the solution to this problem. Actually, she did not lose everything, she still have herself. As long as she is in a perfect position, as in physical, there's lots of jobs that Jill can do. I know that a criminal may be hard to find a job, but there's got to be someone who might willing to give her a chance. I'm sure she did turn into a new leaf.
---------------------------------------
To be continued.. Seriously, I love how you write the characters characteristic inside. It was exactly perfect on how your description is the same on the show. Linda showed lots of great scenes between the family and the team. One word for this.. PERFECT ! Lots of fictions I've read, it was way out of the character's personality and attitude.

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun

With Eric Jr sound asleep Mackenzie went to check on the girls.

"Hey mom we're home." Yelled Sharon.

"Shh!!! I just got your brother back to sleep. How was dance class girls?"

"It was good mom. The instructor said we are just about ready for the Nutcracker."

"Mommy."

"Yes Serina?"

"We seen Shannon and Sara at the Mall as we were leaving dance class. Shannon was with her boyfriend."

"Oh..really."

"Serina you weren't supposed to tell."

"Uuuhuh...Sasha wasn't supposed to tell. Not me."

Sticking out her tongue at Sharon she ran upstairs to change.

While Sharon watched her mom head to the phone she knew she was calling dad. God she felt sorry for her sisters. For their dad was great at embarressing them when they did wrong. Oh he didn't mean too. It was just the way it came out.

The Mall

Shannon was laughing in her boyfriends arms when her dad walked up to them.

"Shannon....Shannon...it's daddy."

Turning around she seen her dad's angry expression. The she heard him.

"Hmm...didn't mom ground you? I could have swore she said you were both grounded for fighting over a video game."

The other kids smirked and snickered. Sara hid her head and moaned. While Shannon went bright red.

"Are you ready to come home now. You wouldn't want mom to take away the rest of your games would you."

Walking with their dad they headed to the Hummer. Following behind them Eric heard the one boy say....

"Leave it to you to date a pigs daughter. If you were smart you'd drop her now."

Ignoring the childish comment Eric watched Shannon's boyfriend walk away from them. When he got to the Hummer he found the girls silent.

"Should we talk about why we defied your mothers orders? I'm telling you girls now. Mom is having a very hard time, especially with your Uncle dying and Maddy coming home with the kids. Did either of you two think about that? Or is your life more important then anyone elses?"

"We're sorry dad. It's all my fault. I made Sara come with me. I know mom is having a hard time, but she needs to understand too that I need my space."

"No one is stopping you from having space. But when you are told to go to your room, that means you go. It doesn't mean you sneak out. That was very immature on your part. If you expect to be treated as an adult. Then you need to start acting like one."

Pulling up to the driveway the girls got out and walked into the house. Facing their mom they apologized.

"We are sorry mom. We promise it will never happen again."

Heading upstairs they went to their rooms and shut their doors.
