Wendy and others will be very happy to hear about the news. :) Thank you for this chapter, Linda.:thumbsup::bolian::bolian:.

When Mac finally got home it was three in the morning. God he was tired, but also hungry. Walking into the kitchen he seen his dinner in the microwave. To tired to be bothered, he grabbed an apple and headed upstairs.

Stopping by Michelle's room he looked in on her to make sure she was okay. Once he covered her back up, he left the room. Sitting on the edge of his bed, he watched his wife sleep.

God she was so beautiful. Just everything that was warm and vibrant, burned within him. Watching her chest rise and fall with each breath he slid his hands up her thighs, her hips, her back, until he was laying on her back, while his hands held his weight.

Seeing the shivers across her skin he kissed her nape, causing her to purr out. She was driving him to endless passion with her purrs and sighs, and he hadn't even touched her where he wanted to touch most.

Lowering his head, he stroked his tongue across her ear, her neck her back, back up to her neck nipping softly, tenderly as she bucked up on him.

"Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel....." He hissed out.

Sliding his hands down her arms, he linked their fingers together as he erotically moved upon her. Clothes upon nightie, friction, fire, passion burning through their clothes.

Losing control quickly, he clenched his teeth onto her strap, and slid it down her arms, then nipping the other side, he unlinked her fingers, and slid the gown from her. quickly removing his own clothes, he pulled her over on him, and allowed her to shadow out the world with her hair.

"So beautiful Stella. So passionate, and giving."

His eyes her melting her soul, they were heavy with passion, dark almost black with desire, need and want. Sensually sliding herself down she traced her tongue around his heated lips as he pulled her closer, assaulting her mouth with his in endless pleasure.

So lost now in each others souls, each others hearts. That all the events of day were slowly forgotten, leaving behind nothing but warmth, love, and new beginings.

Meanwhile....

Eric and Mackenzie woke to Shanon's screams. Running into the room, they found her clutching her hand screaming.

"Shannon!!! Wake up Shannon, come on love, wake up."

"Nooooooooooo...daddy. Daddy, help me." She sobbed out.

"Shh....come on Princess, it's okay daddy's here. I got you. I'm right beside you. Shh..it's all over, just hold daddy tight. I won't let go."

Rocking his daughter back and forth across his lap, she fell back into sleep. Looking down, Eric noticed her hand all bandaged up. Carefully laying it right side up, he rested it on her tummy as he continued to rock her.

When he was sure she was asleep. He laid her back down carefully, covering her. Leaving her room, he watched as his Peanut crawled in with her, wrapping her arms around her sister. Then he heard her whisper....

"It's okay Shannon. I love you. I promise I will protect you through the night."

With tears in his eyes, Eric headed back to bed.

"Is she okay Eric?"

"She'll be fine sweetheart. Don't worry. Peanuts with her."

"Eric?? How long do you think she'll have nightmares?"

"I'm not sure love. It all depends when her mind is ready to let go. I think with alot of love and understanding, she'll recover quickly. We just have to give her time. It's only been a few days."

"Eric??"

"Yeah Mackenzie?"

"Love me. Please love me."

Wrapping his wife within his arms, he pulled her upon him. Then guiding her head, he brought her lips to his. Such passion ignited within them as everything spiraled out of control. So lost, so swept up in their touch, their kiss, as he loved her into the early morning light.

Poor Shannon. Aww at Sara climbing in the bed with her sister and telling her she'll protect her. That was so sweet. :)

The following morning Eric and Mackenzie decided to keep the girls home.

"Okay love I need to get going. Are you going to be okay with the girls?"

"We'll be fine Eric, have a good day."

Kissing her good bye he headed out the door.

"Morning Eric."

"Morning mom. Morning Michelle. Come on in."

"Hi mom. Just sit Michelle in with the Trip's. Do you have time for coffee?"

"Sure sweetheart. Where's the girls?"

"Still sleeping. They are all piled in Shannon's bed. She had a nightmare last night. So her sisters crawled in with her to protect her."

"Aww..you've raised those right love. And you've done it all by yourself. I'm so proud of you Mackenzie."

"Thanks mom. But Eric helps alot."

"I know that sweetheart. But it was you who got the girls through their first three years. Don't ever forget that."

Mackenzie teared up.

"Mackenzie?? What is it love?"

"I don't know mom. I just hate seeing my girls in so much pain. Especially Shannon. This should have never happened mom. I just don't understand....."

"Shh...come on sweetheart. Come here."

Wrapping her daughter in her arms, she held her when Eric walked back in.

"I forgot my..... Mac...what's the matter?"

"She's fine Eric. Just a little mother, daughter conversation. She'll be fine."

"You want me tell Mac you'll be late?"

"Please Eric. Thank you."

"No problem mom. I'll see you tonight love."

Nodding her head, she continued to let her mom hold her.

Miami-Dade...

"Hey Mac!! You seen Stel this morning?"

"Danny, what kind of question is that? She's my wife."

"I know that. But have you seen her here yet?"

"No. Why??"

"Sheldon needs to see her about the Howard case. He found something on the vic."

"She should be here shortly."

"Hey Danny. Moring dad."

"Eric...where's my wife?"

"It seems Mackenzie was very upset this morning. So mom is staying with her for a bit. Why? Did you need her?"

Mac gave Eric a WTF look. Of course he needed her. She was his wife.

"Don't worry Eric. He gave me the same look this morning." Laughed Danny.

"Okay. I'll go see Sheldon. Danny. You and Eric see Adam about that Grovners case. Hopefully we can finally close the file on that one."

"Sure Mac. No problem."

Flack had his hands full. Not only did he have one dead homeless person. He had four. All together, and all foamed at the mouth.

"Bout time Sheldon."

"Sorry Don. Busy morning in Miami. Did you call Mac yet?"

"Yeah. They're on their way. So what do you think?"

"They're still warm. I'd put TOD at no more then four hours ago. Looks like poisoning. I'll know more when I get the samples to Tox."

"Sheldon. What have we got?"

"Four male victims. All poisoned."

Looking around Mac noticed the bottle of wine. Picking it up he carefully placed it in an evidence bag.

"Danny, Eric. Start collecting evidence. Sheldon get the bodies back see what you can find."

"Sure Mac. I'll see you in a bit. Also I need to talk to Stella. Is she at the lab already?"

"I'm not sure yet. She's running late."

"Okay. I'll see ya."

Once Sheldon left, Mac and his team searched the area for more evidence.

After holding her daughter a little longer, she raised her face with her hand.

"Look at you Mackenzie. What's really going on? I thought everything was fine with you and Eric. You seemed happy. Now you are back to being an emotional mess. Why is it it seems to come on when something happens to the girls? What the hell else did that ex bastard husband of yours do to you and my grandbabies"?

"Nothing mom. Can't you just let it rest. It's been over four years now. The girls are seven now, I'm happily married and have three more beautiful girls. Just let it rest."

"How can I let it rest? You can't even let it rest. It's eating at you Mackenzie. Whether you realize it or not. You need to get all that hate out."

"Hate?? Why do you insist on calling it hate? You should just get going mom, before dad comes looking for you."

"Then he can come look. I'm not leaving here Mackenzie. Not until you tell me what is wrong with you. Cause the impression I'm getting is whatever happened to Shannon, happened before. Am I right. What did you not tell us four years ago when you showed up at our door with the girls?"

*Ring,ring*

"I'll get that. Hello?"

"Mackenzie, where is your mother?"

"She's right here dad. Hold on."

Passing the phone to her mom, she left the room to check on the kids.

"What???"

"Pardon love? Is something wrong?"

*Sighing*...."I'm sorry Mac. I didn't mean to snap at you. What did you need?"

"I need you to get in here Stel. Sheldon's been looking for you, he's found something on your victim. He's been waiting all morning."

"Please tell him I'm sorry Mac. I'll get there as soon as I can."

"Listen Stel. What is going on? It sounded like our daughter was crying."

"She's fine Mac. I'll be there shortly. I promise."

"Fine. I'll let Sheldon know."

Hanging up the phone she found her daughter in the den with the girls.

"I've got to go Mackenzie. We will talk later though. That I can promise you."

Mackenzie knew she would let her father know. For she would do the same with Eric. It's just the Taylor values. Family helping family. Family never giving up till the painful secrets are told. That is how a family healed. By discussing, talking, working through the pain together.

"Bye mom. Stay safe."

Kissing her daughters good bye, she left.

Arriving at the lab she was attacked.

"Thank God Stella. I really need to see you now."

"I'm sorry Sheldon. It's going to have to wait. I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Listen Stella. You need to see this now. Please. I've waited all morning."

"Fine."

Following Sheldon downstairs, Mac watched from his office. Seeing the stress on her face, he became concerned. Knowing he would have to wait, he went back to his files.

I hope Mack opens up to her Mom so she can get it all off her chest and start to heal better. So sad what Scott did to her the kids.

Oh YEAH! New case.. :) I'm looking forward to it.

"Mac gave Eric a WTF look."

:adore::adore: He'll be very very good looking with that look. Hmm.. Poisoning. I wonder what's the thing that poisons them. Four victims. That was.. WOW! :) Mackenzie.. *Sighs* I understand her when it comes to her kids. Shannon is a strong girl like Stella. She'll be okay. :D

Oh.. Come on Mackenzie. :( Stella is a great mother. She did her best to help Mackenzie. Confronting her on her problems is just a part of it. I'm so proud of her. This is :thumbsup:. Yeah. Mac and Eric will soon find out. Hmm..hmm.. What does Sheldon found on the victim? :)

Sorry for late reviews, Linda. :) Thank you for this. I really love them. :) *Hugs* to Linda. :D Take care.

When Stella had finished up with Sheldon, she found Mac sitting at his desk.

"Are you done then?"

"Yeah. For now. Listen Mac, we need to talk."

"I take it this about our daughter?"

"It is. She's hurting Mac. I hate seeing her hurting like that. I have a feeling something worse happened to those girls that night Mackenzie showed up at our home without Scott."

"Stella I really understand your need to help our children. But sometimes it's best just to leave some things in the past."

"I'm sorry Mac. This isn't one of those times. I can't believe this. I thought you of all people would stand behind me on this. I'm your wife."

"Regardless Stel. Stay out of it."

Danny was walking by when he heard them arguing. It had been ages since they had yelled at each other like that.

"Danny!! What's going on?"

"Looks like your mom and dad are arguing."

"You're kidding. I've never heard them argue. Any idea what about?"

"I'm not sure. But I'll tell you this much. Stay away till it's over. When the two of them butt heads like that. There is no interrupting them."

"I won't. I don't care if you help your daughter or not. But I am. My grandbabies have been through enough. Think they don't see their mothers pain? They know Mac. They remember too."

"I don't have time to argue with you Stel. Just stay out of it."

"Like hell......"

Storming from his office, she slammed the door.

"Damn it!!!!"

"Mac?? Is it okay to come in?"

"Sure Danny. What is it?"

"I have something I need you to look at."

While Danny was busy with Mac, Stella ran into Don.

"Whoa...oufff!!!!"

"Sorry Don. I didn't even see you."

I can see that Stel. You okay?"

"I'll be fine. Don't worry about it."

"I do worry Stel. What's going on? I haven't seen that look for years now. You went at it with Mac didn't you?"

"How do you and Danny....oh never mind."

"Stel. We know because we are all a team. We know because we are family. Have been family for years. So what's going on with you and Mac?"

"We just argued over Mackenzie. She's going through something Don. I can feel it. Something more happened that night she showed up at our door with the girls. Something she won't talk about to anyone. So I asked Mac for his help and he refused."

"Hmm..did you ever think he may be right Stel? If something has wounded your daughter that deeply. It's best to leave it alone till she's ready to share it."

"But it's tearing her apart Don. I can see it in her eyes. I can see it in my grandbabies eyes. They are torn apart with this secret."

Don wasn't sure what he could do to help her. He understood Mac's point. Mac was right. It needed to be left alone till she was ready to tell it. Not wanting to upset her anymore he said...

"Don't worry Stel. It will all work out. I'll see you later."

Walking away, Don heard her slam her fist into the locker.

"Hey Messer!!! You ready for lunch?"

"Yeah. You see Stel?"

"I did. She's beating up her locker."

"Hah!! Mac's broken three pencils since I've been in his office. It's good to see them argue like this. It's been to long."

"You got that right. Ten bucks says Mac apologizes first."

"You're on Don. You're on."

Heading out of Miami-Dade, they laughed.
