CSI Level One
Yeah, the suggestion seems to be there. Although I doubt TPTB would end up going that way
Even if there is something they will cut it out like they did with that scene from 401, when Danny was supposed to be attracted to Nova.

It's possible Ruben's mother might be the 'bump', but I hope not. I really hope not, because if this episode turns out to be nothing more than setting Danny up with another woman who just lost her only child who was her whole world... it will cheapen the whole thing in a very bad way. I sure don't want Danny to end up looking like some skeez who takes advantage of a grieving mom, ya know? That would be the ultimate character assassination for him.

The only way I see this relating to the "bump" is if Lindsay jumps to the wrong conclusion. Like she sees Danny hugging Ruben's Mom from a distance and doesn't understand that he's only comforting her. Or something like that anyway.

What's with all the fretting? The writers are pretty much giving us everything we've asked for with this ep:
1. Danny development/Danny in a tough, emotional situation
2. Good material for Carmine to work with
3. A moving story
4. No Lindsay in the Danny storyline to muck it up with her self-absorbtion
5. Danny crying (he does it so well! And it's so funny when midnight makes fun of him for it.)
What more could we ask for?![]()
This episode sounds fantastic.
And no, I don't think they're going for romance between Danny and the mother. This is about a heatbreaking time for Danny, not about who he's getting it on with. And thank goodness--it's nice to see a story that focuses on Danny, period, because what makes him such a fascinating, complex character has nothing to do with romance.
