I'm still amused by the mental image of Mac - THEMac - Super!Mac - drunk. :guffaw:

I found this ancient interview with AZ from 2005...
Ok - SERIOUSLY, does the man EVER know what he's talking about? Maybe we need to start reading between the lines - what he says, is the complete opposite of what's going to happen...

Thanks guys for the clarification. So its episode 18. Interesting.

If they is tension between them in 18, and then they are out together in 19 seemingly tension free. What in heck changes? And then changes again because Lindsay is apparently wistful about missing being called Montana in 20. It could be that they are trying to get their friendship back on track. Its really confusing. Because just say, Danny does come clean about Riki to Lindsay in 17/18, and decides to move on with her, why is Riki back in 19. I would have thought Riki would have appeared in the same episode Danny came clean in. Unless of course he comes clean in 19. But then why is there tension between D and L in 18 concerning Riki. Would they really have Danny toying with Lindsay's emotions like that? Especially after her uttering the L word.

Going back over spoilers. What that girl actually said regarding starting freshly was. "Both, Danny and Riki start freshly" Now reading that I assumed it wasn't together. Or it could be together, maybe they decide to start fresh some where else Didn't that girl say that 19 sets up two cliffhangers? The Cabbie killer arc is one. But whats the other? Could that be it? I mean obviously CG is not leaving the show, so he will return.

In regards to Danny's guilt over Rueben. Obviously not even Riki can get through to him that it wasn't his fault, so how do you think he will finally get over it? Do you think that maybe they might set up a situation where he has to actually save a life? Like in the finale.

Going through my sources for ep 21. I notice there is not mention of either D or L. I also don't see where D and L would fit into this situation with Mac. Would they really need all those people in the Lab? And F and S seem to have the other stuff covered. Could they be involved in another situation connected to this?

Or on a long shot, if D has gone awol(like I mentioned above), is L looking for him. Or does something happen to L that makes him return? Do we know if this is going to be a cliffhanger?

I'm back to being confused here; is Reed connected to the Killer Cabbie? Because he is returning in 419, and 420...maybe he's the second cliffhanger? (If there is one).

 i never left the confused state to begin with....

the reed option is the one that seems to be the safe bet but the crazy DL shipper in me keeps asking why the heck almost all the regulars are being mentioned but DL? Coincidence? another plot? total absense of their characters i the specific ep? (doubtful)

so whats the deal?

its so frustrating to hot have solved the mystery of where they stand even in the next ep yet im already preoccupied with their season finale fate....oh well...

Regarding Mac cheating on Claire...I'm sorry to say it's extremely out of character

I understand he could have an affair with her BEFORE he got married with Claire...but cheating on her?

Nah!

Unless my professor is right..she said "Be careful with your husbands. If you leave an emptiness in your relationship, they will fill lt with another woman" (She made a "homely" example because i'm in Nurse School:D and she was talking about blood:lol:

Debbie (still intrigued:drool:

Maybe Mac and Claire were going through a rough patch?

Does anyone know or has it ever been mentioned if Mac and Claire used to work together?

I don't think Mac and Claire ever worked together. Mac told Reed in 'Consequences' that Claire was 'in the World Trade Centre' on 9/11. I always assumed that meant she worked there. Most of the companies that operated out of there were financial companies, so I'm assuming she was in that line of work. Also, in 'People with Money' Mac tells Peyton that having a relationship with a colleague isn't something he's used to. So I'm guessing they didn't work together. They might have, I suppose, Claire could have been a cop or something and been in the Towers on 9/11, or maybe she worked outside the Towers and was just there for a meeting or something. But personally I always thought she worked there.

mmmmm I don't think they ever have worked together. As Macslady said it was implied Claire was working at the Towers

Besides Mac is in charge of the CSI lab so it means he spent a lot of hours working . And if she worked too their crisis came up because they had not time to be together. Besides they didn't have babies so they were totally self absorbed by their jobs

Debbie

We've never seen how Mac was pre-Claire's death. So it would be very cool if we get some kind of indication of how he was before then tonight :)

(How he can be married and in love, AND work like a maniac is beyond me).

Something Stella said once made me think he was truly happy in his marriage so i dunno:confused:

But maybe they had been married for a long time...(nobody knows) and since they had not kids...well

I can't explain it yet:cool:

Regarding to the lack of D&L in 4.21 Well maybe they will take some days off to be together and to see if it works a relationship between them (it would be the happy season finale Kristin mentioned:confused:

Debbie:)

I think that's what the writers are doing to us. They know that if they get rid of the Danny and Lindsay romance....there will be a riot and a lot of us D & L fans will boycott the show.

However I have a sneaky feeling that maybe.....just maybe the way they will kill Rikki off will be like this.....and man I hope it will happen or something like this!!

My theory: Rikki finds out that Lindsay and Danny are together together. Rikki kidnaps Lindsay and holds her hostage in a warehouse or basement. Rikki takes Lindsays gun and starts to rant and rave to Lindsay about how she lost someone she loved and now it's time Danny loses someone he loves. Lindsay gets badly beaten by Rikki but not bad enough she can't fight. The swat team and flack and Danny arrive at the scene when Lindsay distracts Rikki.....Lindsay fights like hell and grabs the gun. Rikki and Lindsay have a strugle and Lindsay manages to turn the gun towards Rikki firing a round. Rikki stumbles back and realizes she got shot and crumbles to the ground to her death just as the swat team comes in. Danny comes in calling her name and he finds Lindsay injured and bruised from Rikki beating her and he kisses her with a strong passion and they both declare their love for each other.

Hey it's not a bad plot!!

I didn't stop by for 3 days and i had to read through 5 pages of posts :D I only have a few words to disturb you with: what the hell is going on? I am so confused (as the majority of people are) ..is this CSI:NY or CSI:SO (soap opera). Mac cheated, Danny and Lindsay are well...D/L, writers, writers oh dear writers, what in Pete's name are you doing?

Anyway, carrying on.. Yay for Rikki being back (hello Rikki), a smaller yay for Mac being the hostage (excuse me, since when a CSI also is a hostage negotiator? oh! It's not a CSI it's SuperMac! Don't get me wrong, I like Mac, but it's a bit too much). The team will definitely shine in the finale (I smell action a la Snow Day). Hello Reid, nice to have you back too (I am not going to ask about the cabbie killer, I'll get more confused because of my uncooperative brain). Also a big hug to Flack (and a nice tie as a present from me) form spotting something important before the CSIs!

However I have a sneaky feeling that maybe.....just maybe the way they will kill Rikki off will be like this.....and man I hope it will happen or something like this!!

Don't you think it will be a waste of talent and great moments if Rikki goes away? You really want to see Danny crying again? I mean the RSRD cry was OK, but I can't handle another one. :D

Hey, that would only make Rikki (again) a way to bring Danny and Lindsey together and Rikki is such an interessting charakter and that would be a real waste of potential! But I do hope this Danny/Lindsey/Rikki triangle will be ower soon.

PS: HI guys, I'm officially new here but following your discussions sincs some months ;) I'm really enjoying it!

I really don't think shippers make up a big part of the fan base. CSI: NY has 12 - 13 million viewers. Even if people who are vocal online about not watching the show because they are unhappy about DL actually do stop watching, I don't think the ratings will suffer overall.

Hey it's not a bad plot!!

I don't see the show turning a grieving mother into a sociopath and then killing her off just to prove that Lindsay is teh most awesomest CSI around and that Danny and Lindsay are ZOMG! sooo in love. I also can't see TPTB making Danny/Lindsay/Rikki the focal point of an episode no matter how they do it. Even though it's created a huge response in the online fandom, the DLR drama was a very small part of last week's episode. It wouldn't make sense, and would probably piss off a lot of viewers, if it suddenly takes a front seat to everything else.
