I think Lenkov said something about it starting a bit earlier to accommodate having a few extra episodes (he suggested 26, I think), but it probably won't be that much earlier, now that I think about it. Earlier in September, I guess? Late August is probably hoping too much. :lol:

I don't think Reed is involved in the finale, although I'm among the confuzzled so I could be dead wrong.

In one way I agree that a cliffhanger is intriguing considering the next season will be starting earlier. But I wonder if the average viewer will get exasperated at a cliffhanger right after having to wait out the writers' strike.

Since I'm admittedly confuzzled, I has a question. Is the Mac spoiler for tonight that he and Quinn were romantically involved at one point and the speculation is that he cheated on Claire with her, or is the implication of cheating part of the actual spoiler?

I'm already exhasperated because of the strike AND they're still slotting repeats! Why....??

I think it's about tonight (is Quinn going to be a recurring?) -- didn't she say that a relationship between co-workers isn't always a good idea or something, and that HE told her that?

Or maybe I've just been daydreaming again...

The spoiler about Quinn involves her mentioning something that happened between them while Mac was married--it wasn't made clear exactly what that was, but to me it seemed to imply that they slept together once (again, this is my interpretation, so it could be very wrong). According to the spoilers, Mac said what happened was a mistake.

I'm still really hoping they cut that out. :lol:

I think that's what the writers are doing to us. They know that if they get rid of the Danny and Lindsay romance....there will be a riot and a lot of us D & L fans will boycott the show.

I really don't think shippers make up a big part of the fan base. CSI: NY has 12 - 13 million viewers. Even if people who are vocal online about not watching the show because they are unhappy about DL actually do stop watching, I don't think the ratings will suffer overall.

However I have a sneaky feeling that maybe.....just maybe the way they will kill Rikki off will be like this.....and man I hope it will happen or something like this!!

My theory: Rikki finds out that Lindsay and Danny are together together. Rikki kidnaps Lindsay and holds her hostage in a warehouse or basement. Rikki takes Lindsays gun and starts to rant and rave to Lindsay about how she lost someone she loved and now it's time Danny loses someone he loves. Lindsay gets badly beaten by Rikki but not bad enough she can't fight. The swat team and flack and Danny arrive at the scene when Lindsay distracts Rikki.....Lindsay fights like hell and grabs the gun. Rikki and Lindsay have a strugle and Lindsay manages to turn the gun towards Rikki firing a round. Rikki stumbles back and realizes she got shot and crumbles to the ground to her death just as the swat team comes in. Danny comes in calling her name and he finds Lindsay injured and bruised from Rikki beating her and he kisses her with a strong passion and they both declare their love for each other.

Hey it's not a bad plot!!

I don't see the show turning a grieving mother into a sociopath and then killing her off just to prove that Lindsay is teh most awesomest CSI around and that Danny and Lindsay are ZOMG! sooo in love. I also can't see TPTB making Danny/Lindsay/Rikki the focal point of an episode no matter how they do it. Even though it's created a huge response in the online fandom, the DLR drama was a very small part of last week's episode. It wouldn't make sense, and would probably piss off a lot of viewers, if it suddenly takes a front seat to everything else.

Uh newsflash.....Rikki is already a Sociopath.....she stole Danny's gun to shoot someone. Gee doesn't that give you the notion that she already is f'ed up in the head and probably would do something stupid again.

I just hope they kill her off and bring D & L back to where they belong......TOGETHER.

Why should they kill her off? In her seven scenes on CSINY Rikki has shown more believable emotions and more passion that Lindsay has in three seasons. As for D/L....i'm not going to get started on that. It
isn't the main focus of the show, there are other things going on besides your precious 'ship getting "destroyed"...

Okay someone just told me that Reed gets caught up in the whole Taxi Cab Killer storyline. i.e. Majorly caught up in it. I swear if he ends up dead I( will NOT be a happy bunny.
