CSI: NY Season 4 Spoilers! Discussion in the Big Apple

Episodes with Rikki (lately) always makes someone angry :lol: (Usually it's me but you never know )

It brings hope for some of us as well.

and ofcourse since she is out of relatives we know she is probably reapparing to dissapear for good.... except for her appearing to add more drama to DL why else would she appear for? she is merely a plot device for the OTP of the show and i believe even those who pretend to be blind and consider her a character that will stay know indeed what her use was for the show at the first place

Well, you never know... She's out of relatives that we know now but she can, let's say, have a baby? You can never forget the loss of a child but a new life can bring hope and happiness... And maybe, help lessen Danny's despair and guilty. (wishful thinking of my part, I know... soap opera stuff... Oh, yeah, it's CSI:NY... so, it's possible! )

So now Danny and Lindsay are "the OTP of the show?" I highly doubt TPTB are in meetings saying, "What should we write for our OTP this week?"

No one is "pretending to be blind," and to say people are is insulting. Nothing has aired yet so, unless you have some inside information you'd like to share, anything can still happen, even if it seems unlikely.

what i meant is that unless Rikki has acquired a degree in Forensic Science and Mac is getting rid of Linds to bring Rikki in her place i doubt after this season we will be seeing much if any at all of Rikki. To not realize that seems to me as if you guys are pretending to be blind.

but if CSI decides to cut the crime ascpect of the show and focus on the sexual relationships of its CSI's then maybe you do have a chance of seeing Rikki again......

^Hahahaha! Well clearly they need more inspiration. Can't they just look up a site for baby names or something?

Shows tied to the military have to clear the names with them. And if the name is found to be that of someone in active service, and they are the only person with that name, it cannot be used. I wonder if that applies in police shows actually...

A character doesn't have to be a CSI to become a recurring character (ie, Reed). No one said anything about Rikki replacing Lindsay in the lab. Rikki and Danny's relationship doesn't have to focus on sex. Even in "that scene" what was going on emotionally went far beyond just sex. Not realizing these things, to me, seems like denial.

I don't understand. Really. When CSIs pair up, people complain. I've seen a lot of people saying that it's not realistic to have all relationships inside workplace. Now you're saying that, as Rikki is not a CSI or detective, for that matter, there's no chance we will be seeing her ever again? I believe that she can be seen, not in all episodes (and we don't really want that, it's a forensic show, after all) but in some of them. She can appear once in a while, like Reed or Peyton.

You have the darn repeat of 4.10. i find the 333 storyline incredible interesting

Rikki's coming back in episode 19? Oh, that is interesting ...

As for the theory that a relationship between Danny and Rikki can't possibly happen and continue simply because she's not a regular character, heh ... in seasons one and two, all Danny had to do to make him having a girlfriend canon was to mention them. They never, ever had to appear on screen for it to be canon so what is so different about Danny just mentioning Rikki now and then? I find it amusing that there's even the idea a ship can only be canon if the two people in the pairing are constantly on screen every week of the show.

But yes, I am excited to see where TPTB takes Danny and Rikki on the show. Even with csifan's spoiler of 'both Danny and Rikki starting freshly', things can still go either way. Good job on keeping us guessing, TPTB!

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it, but to call people who don't agree with you "blind" is insulting.

Personally, I didn't think we'd see Rikki after 413, and I certainly didn't think we'd see her after 416. So really, only the writers know what's next. Please try to remember that.

And leave the arguing of OTPs (truly the silliest concept on dramas that go for years and mix and match characters) out of this thread. Thanks.

Anyway, moving on to that finale--I love the idea of Mac being asked by the robber to prove he didn't kill the bank manager. That's kind of a cool scenario.

Well...compared to the current arc I found it boring :lol: Actually I was more disappointed than anything. The writers are plenty good at building stories up but they usually fall flat at the end. But maybe that's just me.

Pretty cool - I admit. But I still think as if they just re-spun the whole Danny and Shane Casey deal. But then again, this could be a bajillion times better. After the strike, I'm sure the finale is going to be a big one - to retain their viewers.

i love that scenario too.Make me remember that great episode . I'd love to see how Mac could improvise without a lab around (yes i adored the Panic room episode:thumbsup:

I don't know... This kinda reminds me of that episode of CSI:Miami - that I watched out of boredom - with Calleigh where she's kidnapped to clean the crime scene... The scientific part was cool but it reminded me of why I don't watch CSI:Miami: Horatio Caine.

I must admit I really do like the story idea for the finale. Hopefully we will get more info soon.

I am also looking forward to the Taxi Killer eps. Wonder if we will get Flack going undercover? I could just picture him as a smart mouthed Taxi Driver.:lol:
