 Here we go..

Rocking In Stereo

Miami Lab, Next morning

Horatio: Alright guys, glove up we're going to a scene.

Colton: Where?

Horatio: 101 West Flagler Street.

Calleigh: What happened?

Horatio: Someone was murdered at the Miami Art Museum. Calleigh, you're with Colton and Anni on the case.

Calleigh: Alright.

Horatio: Speed, Eric, you've got a case.

Delko: Great, where are we going?

Horatio: *hands over folder* Summer camp.

Delko: *lifts brow*

Horatio: *walks away*

Crime Scene, Art Museum

Colton: *places down kit* Smells like death in here.

Anni: *punches Colton* HA! That was funny.

Colton: Ow.

Calleigh: Who called it in?

Tripp: *looking down at notes* Museum owner. Pat Aiken. He said he came in here this morning around 9, and found a dead girl in a bird cage.

Calleigh: Bird cage?

Tripp: The new exibit, exotic animals of Miami. There's a whole bunch of stuffed birds and things.

Calleigh: Alright we'll check it out.

Exotic Bird exibit

Colton: Wow, it's beautiful in here.

Anni: Yeah except for the dead birds and the dead body.

Calleigh: *looks up*

Colton: ...How did the killer get her in the cage?

Calleigh: Let's find out.

Colton climbs up ladder, ten minutes later

Colton: Remind me why I'm the one up here again?

Anni: We're hazing you.

Colton: Wonderful. *opens cage* Well...That's gross.

Calleigh: What is it?

Colton: Looks like there's been feathers glues to her skin. There's also burn marks.

Anni: Well if Miami doesn't have the wierdest cases, I want to know who does.

Calleigh: Let's get her down.

Fifteen minutes later, Alexx walks in

Alexx: You guys get her out of the cage?

Calleigh: She's on the gurney.

Alexx: *walks over to gurney*

Calleigh: We think that she was burned repeatedly with some sort of...Glue gun.

Alexx: It would explain the feathers.

Anni: Yeah but why would someone glue feathers onto her?

Alexx: Honey that's your job, not mine.

Anni: *rolls eyes*

Alexx: Wait a minute. There's something under her fingernails.

Calleigh: Skin?

Alexx: No something else. I'll send samples to Trace when I get her back.

Calleigh: *smiles* Okay. Thanks Alexx.

Alexx: Alright boys, let's go.

Haulers: Yes ma'am.

Near cage

Colton: *clicks on flashlight* Blood on the inside.

Anni: Well yeah she was tortured.

Colton: *grabs swab*

Calleigh: Does the owner recognize her?

Tripp: He said he's never seen her before.

Calleigh: Are you sure? Because she had an ID tag on her dress.

Tripp: Looks like the owner lied.

Calleigh: Well you know what they say. The person who finds the victim is always the first suspect.

Tripp: I'll go make sure he doesn't fly the coop.

Calleigh: *smiles*

Tripp: *leaves*

Anni: *kneels* I have a trail of blood on the floor over here.

Colton: So she was bleeding before someone put her in the bird cage.

Anni: *looks around* Hey what's that room over there?

Colton: *looks over* Paintings.

Anni: Why's it dark in there?

Colton: Well sometimes art museums put a blacklight in the room to highlight the pigment in the paint of some works of art. Usually psychedelic paintings from the 60s.

Anni: ...

Calleigh: ...

Colton: I've...Heard.

Calleigh: Let's go check it out. Blood trail leads over there.

Dark room

Colton: *flicks on light*

Blacklight comes on, reveals bright blue stains all over the floor

Anni: WHOA COOL!

Calleigh: Blood.

Colton: Lucky for us there's a black light in here.

Calleigh: This is probably where the murder happened.

Anni: So...Someone killed her in here, glued feathers all over her, and then...Put her in a cage for display.

Colton: There was blood inside the cage, so she must have still been alive when she was put in the cage.

Anni: Right, dead people don't bleed.

Calleigh: Let's collect this. I'll be down at autopsy. *leaves*

Anni: *crosses arms* You like museums?

Colton: Shut up.

Summer Camp, Biscayne

Delko: What happened?

Yelina: Jack Howard, seven years old was found this morning in his bed. The kids thought he was asleep, until they found a bullet hole in his head.

Delko: How does a seven year old kid get shot at a summer camp?

Yelina: Parents are on their way. *walks away*

Speed: *grabs camera*

Delko: It's harsh.

Speed: *takes pictures*

Delko: Looks like a .22, maybe .38

Speed: Well we won't know until we get that bullet.

Delko: Yeah skin snaps back, making the entry wound look smaller.

Speed: *snapping pictures*

Delko: *looks around* Okay so assuming the kid was sitting up when he was shot, the shot came from this side of the cabin. *walks over to other side of cabin*

Parents run over to yellow tape

Lisa: My name is Lisa Howard, I'm his mother.

Patrol cop: I'm sorry ma'am, this is a crime scene.

Bob: I'm his father, let me through.

Delko: Uh oh.

Speed: *puts down camera*

Delko: *walks over to tape* Excuse me, I'm Eric Delko. I'm working the case.

Lisa: Someone told us Jack was shot. Is that true?

Delko: Right now we're just getting our bearings. We'll let you know when we have anything definitive.

Bob: Definitive? That's all you have to say? That's my kid in there!

Delko: Sir, I know you're upset but we can't release any information until we know what we're dealing with.

Bob: You're damn right I'm upset! Let me talk to your superior!

Delko: He's not here at the moment.

Bob: Well you'd better find him.

Delko: Uh...Hey Speed?

Speed: No way man, I'm not Horatio.

Delko: *frowns* Great. *turns to parents* When we know something, you'll know something. Okay?

Lisa: I just want to see him. I want to see Jack.

Delko: I'm sorry ma'am. This is an active crime scene.

Lisa: *shakes head*

Bob: Come on Lisa, let's go. We can talk to the detectives out front.

Lisa: *nods* Okay.

Bob/Lisa leave

Delko: *turns around* Thanks man. You're a big help.

Speed: I don't deal with parents. That's Horatio's thing.

Delko: They look pretty upset.

Speed: Mhm. *opens kit*

Delko: *lifts brow* You're pretty detatched.

Speed: I can't work the case if I'm not.

Delko: You know, part of the job is dealing with the victims AND their families.

Speed: That's why two people work a case.

Delko: *frowns*

Speed: Look, Eric I'm not good with families. I could give them tonnes of information but that's not what they want to hear. They want comfort.

Delko: So?

Speed: That's not my job.

Delko: ...

Speed: *walks away*

Delko: *angry sigh*

TBC.............

Aw, no more road trips, Now we're hankered down and on cases. Well, the CSI's are anyway lol. HA Summer camp, gotta love it. I wonder if the kid had a "summer love" like they always talk about in those camps. Guess we'll have to wait and find out :D

 Summer love.

Never Really Talks Much

Cabin, 3 hours later

Delko: Alright, you set up the dummy?

Speed: Yeah.

Delko: Sit him up and put the laser in.

Speed: I've done this before.

Delko: I know but you always seem to need direction before you do anything.

Speed: *turns on laser*

Delko: OW! MY EYE! Point it in the trajectory!

Speed: It slipped.

Delko: *holding eye* Just point it in the right direction already.

Speed: *moves laser* I knew we should have gotten Calleigh to do this.

Delko: She's already on a case.

Speed: Trajectory places it in the window with the bullet hole.

Delko: ...Huh. How come we didn't notice it before?

Speed: You were busy yelling at me about how I'm not more sympathetic to parents.

Delko: Well you aren't.

Speed: Stick to the job Eric.

Delko: Okay so the shooter was outside.

Speed: Great. You just solved the crime, Sherlock.

Delko: *frowns* I didn't see you trying.

Speed: I'm the one with the laser.

Delko: Yeah and you've probably just given me cancer.

Speed: Great, one more thing for you to complain about.

Yelina: *walks over* The boy's mother is here.

Speed: Why?

Yelina: She was told you guys have some questions for her.

Speed: *looks at Eric*

Delko: *smirks*

Speed: *glares*

Delko: You'd better get going.

Speed: I hope our next crime scene a bloater.

Delko: *laughs*

Speed: *walks away*

Yelina: Any leads?

Delko: Shot came from outside. We found the bullet. It's a buck shot.

Yelina: Hm, surprised it didn't take his head clean off.

Delko: Yeah which means the bullet was slowed down by something.

Yelina: The window?

Delko: No. Alexx found trace in the wound. And the entrance wound was jagged so the bullet was shot from a far distance through something.

Yelina: I'll have PD canvas the area.

Outside

Speed: *walks outside*

Lisa: Detective, you're working the case?

Speed: Yeah. I'm Tim Speedle. I'm a crime scene investigator.

Lisa: Have you found anything?

Speed: We found evidence.

Lisa: ...Of what?

Speed: Ballistics evidence, blood evidence, and some trace.

Lisa: Have you tracked down the killer yet?

Speed: We're still working on it. It takes hours to process a scene.

Lisa: Can't you work any faster?

Speed: Not unless we want to miss something important to the case.

Lisa: You have questions for me?

Speed: Yeah. Where were you this morning?

Lisa: ....You think I'm a suspect.

Speed: *shrugs*

Lisa: I was at home with Bob.

Speed: Where does Bob work?

Lisa: Downtown Miami.

Speed: Do you or your husband own a gun?

Lisa: No. That's ridiculous.

Speed: Do you know of anyone who would want to hurt the vic-...*clears throat* Your son?

Lisa: No. No one.

Speed: Did he have any friends here?

Lisa: ...Actually that's the reason we sent him to summer camp. Ever since we moved to Miami, he's been having trouble making friends. People make fun of him because he liked science and nature, and...We thought sending him to a camp would help him meet people who...Liked the same things...as...*wipes eyes* I'm sorry.

Speed: *writes things down*

Lisa: I don't know anyone who would want to hurt him.

Speed: Mhm.

Lisa: *grabs kleenx from purse* What are you doing?

Speed: I'm taking your statement. Did you guys have any disagreements lately? Fights?

Lisa: *frowns* No. You think I killed Jack?

Speed: *writing things down*

Lisa: You have no idea what it's like to lose a child.

Speed: *lifts head*

Lisa: *walks away*

Speed: *looks down at notes*

Lisa drives away

Delko: *walks outside* Hey, where's she going?

Speed: I don't know.

Delko: Did you talk to her?

Speed: Yeah.

Delko: What did you say?

Speed: I asked her questions.

Delko: You didn't at least tell her that we're doing our best to find her son's killer?

Speed: No.

Delko: Why not?

Speed: I didn't know that was in the CSI instruction manual.

Delko: It's courtesy.

Speed: Call her and have her come down to PD. We need to take her prints and search her house for guns.

Delko: She's not a suspect.

Speed: She is a suspect so do it.

Delko: She wouldn't kill her own child.

Speed: We'll find out when we search her house. Get a warrant for her car too.

Delko: Why are you being such a hardass?

Speed: We could talk about this all day but we have a case to investigate.

Delko: Yeah I noticed. And you're not investigating it.

Speed: What?

Delko: You're trying to accuse everyone for the murder and you haven't even looked at the evidence.

Speed: Maybe I'm just tired of this job. I mean, look at what we do. We stand around for hours putting little puzzle pieces together, and when they don't fit we give up. And when we do find a match, the person who murdered the victim is already gone because we sat around with our thumbs up our ass waiting for warrants and interviews from people who should go find a job and stop dealing the drugs we don't know about, to the kids we won't talk about.

Delko: ...This doesn't have anything to do with that.

Speed: You know what, nevermind. *walks away*

Delko: ...Okay.

TBC...........

More to come tomorrow, with more from Calleigh/Colton/Anni's case! :)

And well..I'm assuming hilarity ensues somewhere in there. :p

 Summer camp? Ah! I'm going on camp in a few weeks...now I'm probably going to stay up at night, swaying back and forth chanting "not gonna get shot, not gonna get shot"
Lisa: You have no idea what it's like to lose a child.
Awww, poor Speedy. I'm pretty sure he does know what it's like considering he's lost like 5 of his...but not Lori! Lori's the survivor.

Geez, who would kill a 7 year old?

anyways, please update soon

Great updates, they very up lifting when your feeling down and out for the count. Keep em coming!! Oh and great work as always!!

Colton: Remind me why I'm the one up here again?

Anni: We're hazing you.
Oh, poor Colton! Anni, be nicer!
Tripp: I'll go make sure he doesn't fly the coop.
Ohh! *rolls eyes* very good, Tripp, very good.
Yelina: Jack Howard, seven years old was found this morning in his bed. The kids thought he was asleep, until they found a bullet hole in his head.
Now you see, that's just sad! Little kids shouldn't get shot at summer camp...nobody should get shot at summer camp.
Lisa: You have no idea what it's like to lose a child.
Oh yes he does! He's kind of an expert at that... *dodges something thrown by Katie* Never mind, I'll shut up. OH! Poor Speedy!

Awww Timmy know's excatly what it feel like to lose a child. And awww I love hardass Timmy. lol. And even more then that I love Eric/Speed tension. lol.

Yay! I'm all caught up :) Poor Timmy. He does know what it's like to lose a child. Quite a few, actually. Calleigh/Anni/Colton's case has me interested... feathers?
Can't wait for more!

Sorry about not being able to update tonight. :(

I promise to have plenty of chapters tomorrow! :)

You Wear Me Out

Lab, next day

Calleigh: Alright, blood.

Colton: Matches the victim.

Calleigh: So she died in that room.

Colton: Yeah.

Calleigh: Well Alexx confirmed cause of death. Blunt force trauma to the head.

Colton: She get an ID on the vic?

Calleigh: Her name tag says 'Judy' but we're still checking into dental records. You got results on the Trace from her fingernails?

Colton: Yeah Speed ran it this morning. It's lead with traces of gold and silver.

Calleigh: Lead...Like lead based paint?

Colton: That's what I was thinking so I went over the the art musem this morning and looked around.

Calleigh: You find anything?

Colton: Nope.

Calleigh: All the paintings there have to be over 50 years old, and none of them used lead based paint?

Colton: They got rid of all the older paintings back in the 70s because they were causing health hazards to the staff and public.

Calleigh: ...So we're looking for for something that has traces of lead based paint on it.

Colton: I'm already ahead of you. I was looking into some things, and found out that the owner Pat Aiken, lives in an old art and deco home in the Grove.

Calleigh: *smiles* Those houses had lead based paint.

Colton: I'm betting most of them still do.

Calleigh: Let's check into it.

Colton: I'll drive.

Autopsy

Speed: *walks in* Hey. *grabs latex gloves*

Alexx: Hey.

Speed: Eric said you found something.

Alexx: I found hair on Jack's head wound.

Speed: ...Well he does have hair.

Alexx: Different color altogether.

Speed: We think the bullet passed through something and slowed it down, and that's why there was no exit wound on Jack.

Alexx: It passed through another person.

Speed: We didn't find another body at the scene.

Alexx: Then you got another victim to find.

Speed: *nods*

Delko: *walks in* I've got some news. Bob is Lisa's second husband.

Speed: Alright why does that interest us?

Delko: I checked into Lisa, and she was investigated for the shooting death of her first husband.

Speed: So she has a gun.

Delko: .22 buckshot.

Speed: *shakes head* She lied.

Delko: I've got the warrant for her house, PD's going through it right now.

Speed: Why wasn't she charged with her first husband's death?

Delko: CSIs in the case couldn't find the murder weapon. She was aquitted.

Speed: Is she still here?

Delko: Yeah I just took her prints.

Speed: *leaves*

Delko: Uh..Okay.

Alexx: *laughs*

Interview room

Speed: *walks in* You lied.

Lisa: I beg your pardon?

Speed: You didn't tell us your husband was shot with the same type of gun that was used to kill your son.

Lisa: My husband is fine.

Speed: I meant the dead one.

Lisa: I was aquitted.

Speed: That doesn't mean you didn't kill him.

Lisa: *frowns*

Speed: Where's your gun?

Lisa: I don't have a gun.

Speed: PD's searching your house right now.

Lisa: Good. Let me know if you find anything.

Speed: *sits down* Our evidence shows that someone was with Jack, and that they were shot as well.

Lisa: So?

Speed: Whoever shot Jack, might not have been aiming for him.

Lisa: You mean...They missed?

Speed: No. Someone else was killed too.

Lisa: So...Someone killed Jack by mistake?

Speed: *stares at Lisa*

Lisa: *starts to cry*

Delko: *walks up to door*

Speed: *looks up*

Delko: *shakes head*

Speed: ...They didn't find a gun at your house.

Lisa: *nods, crying*

Speed: *looks down at table*

Lisa: You know...You never think it's going to happen to you, and then it does and it's so unbelievable. It's like time stands still just for that moment when you get the news....And then there's no way to react except to either cry or scream.

Speed: *staring at table*

Lisa: ...I wouldn't expect you to understand.

Speed: Why?

Lisa: You don't look like the father type.

Speed: *lifts brow*

Lisa: Besides, it looks like the most you've ever lost is a bet to see who could dress the best.

Speed: *smirks*

Lisa: *smiles*

Speed: Actually, I'm married.

Lisa: Any kids?

Speed: Well if you count my partner Eric, yeah.

Lisa: *laughs*

Speed: I have a daughter.

Lisa: *nods*

Speed: Look uh...You don't have to stick around, you're in the clear.

Lisa: Alright.

Speed: *hands over card* If you think of anything else that might help, don't hesitate to call.

Lisa: *looks down at card* This says Eric Delko on it.

Speed: I know. *leaves*

Lisa: *shakes head*

TBC.............

Okay, I'm sensing some Speedy problems in the near future. I think this one is going to cut it a little too close to home this time. I think Timmy is being a good CSI is this case though, they didn't find anything at her house, and besides the horrible accusation of this woman killing her husband, he doesn't hold a grudge, and doesn't yell or hold her longer like I expected him do. Chip cheerio Geni, (haha soooooooo hyper) You're doin great hun.
