CSI LV Awards Discussion

Being quoted from another thread.
Wojo said: OK CSI has been nominated for best TV drama again this year at the peoples choice awards.

They are up against

House
Law and Order SVU

Grey's Anatomy is NOT in the running so CSI has the best chance to win. So please go vote at

http://www.pcavote.com/vote/

Don't forget to vote as often as you can. GO CSI!!

Okay the PCA was held tonight (umm last night Jan 8, 2007) and it was boring as heck, no fans, no stars due in part to the [wait for it..thats right] writers strike, so it was a pre-taped program. But anyway this isn't about the writers or the strike. The three nominee's for TV drama: CSI .. House .. Law & Order SVU

The Peoples Choice Award went to: "House".

Congradulation, its a good show and its not Grey's Anatomy  For a list of the winners of the PCA click HERE!

Well done House but I still reckon CSI deserved it!
Wow what a boring People's Choice Awards!! So the winners knew they were getting it before it aired?
How boring!

Yep they knew and it was sad I mean if the stars didn't want to cross the line, at least have the fans come in but wouldn't you know it that award was the last of the evening, I think I got sleepy half way through but I managed to stay awake.

I agree with you Destiny. They should have allowed some fans in. In all honesty though, I usually fall asleep during any award show. I didn't think CSI would get it, but I was happy to see them among the 3 nominees when you consider that Grey's Anatomy (which won last year) wasn't one of the 3.

I couldn't have seen the show here in Germany, but it sounds like i didn't have missed anything!?

I voted more than ever and CSI didn't even get it :[

Alot of discussions on the presenters for the SAG awards as well as other awards if a presenter is from this show then feel free to discuss it here.

Re: CSI Episode Emmy Submissions

Well, they haven't picked one for GE. Well, I for one think he should be nominated for 'Lying Down With The Dogs'. The scene with the kid telling him about the dog fighting he witnessed was compelling. GE was the eyes and ears of the audience and you could feel the pain was feeling as listened to that kid talk. The facial expression said it all.

He's a great actor! I hope he gets nominated.

Re: CSI Episode Emmy Submissions

I'm shocked Jorja got submitted in the 'Supporting Actress in a Drama.' She was in what, seven episodes out of 17 and left the show? I don't even think she should have been nominated.

Re: CSI Episode Emmy Submissions

i think they should have nominated William Petersen for Grissom's Divine Comedy or The Theory of Everything, rather than Dead Doll.

He's always great, but I really think those two episodes where far more of a tour de force for him. 2 real classic performances and the two best episodes of season 8 - and one (of many) reasons for that was his performance.

Dead Doll is kinda low on the list for me tbh of great episodes this year - so I think they do him a disservice in nominating his performance in that one. But that's just my opinion!

That time of the year and since there is a discussion thread starting might as well merge them. ;)

I so agree with you. When I saw there was no episode for George, I'm like :wtf:

Lying Down With Dogs would be a perfect episode for Emmy consideration. He was definitely the eyes and ears of the audience in this episode. George is great at letting you know exactly what Nick is feeling and what we should be feeling without saying a word. His face says it all!

In any case, I hope CSI gets nominated for something, I'm so tired of procedurals getting overlooked. The drama can be just as good or better than other dramas. Maybe they need to create a new category: Drama: Procedural. Then maybe a lot of these types of Dramas, CSI included, would be nominated for and win an emmy.

What is the big deal if Jorja get nominated? Just because she left the show, doesn't mean she can't get nominated. She did a good job with Good Bye and Good Luck. I see actor and actress left the show and they got nominated if they are not on the show.

George did a good job with the Lying down with the Dog. Can we vote that one for George or what?

well i think Dead Doll is a perfect episode to submit WP for an Emmy. i barely remember what The Theory of Everything was about, and DD was probably the only emotionally-charged episode for Grissom this year. and we all know that actors have no chance to win unless they had a storyline they could play the crap out of, and that rarely happens on CSI shows. *shrugs*

somehow i have a feeling that WP won't get nominated, but he will in his last year on CSI which might just as well be S9.

as to Jorja, i'm not surprised she was submitted. b/c even though she wasn't on the show the whole season, well, she was on it enough throughout the years. besides, her performance in GB&GL was outstanding. she had a great opportunity with the plotline and she used it. i could see her getting nominated.
