People's Choice Awards tonight Jan. 7, 2009 @ 9pm est. Nominees

CSI is nominated for "Favorite TV DRAMA" along with Greys, and House.

Well by the looks of it, I saw the House people in the audience so I bet they won, again. :(

They used the "For Warrick" episode in the nomination when they were recreating the scene that the undersheriff said happened in the alley.

I am sorry to say that the award (Peoples choice) went to "House" though it is a good show, but the upside it wasn't Greys.

Because House is only one there, no CSI Cast and Grey's Cast there. If you watch the show, you will see who there or who are not there. If they are there, they won.

I'm glad Grey's didn't win. I would have been mad if it had beat CSI given all of the dumb storylines on this season (not that I watch Grey's, but my grandma tells me about it sometimes lol). Katherine Hiegl and Chandra Wilson were the only Grey's cast members I saw there though. Kath's movie 27 dresses won best comedy and Chandra was doing some backstage thing. I kind of figured House would win.

I use to think that about award shows to but there were a few times, when I saw competing casts (in the same catagory) there and well one didn't win. Thing is when they did this at the time, the cast they showed in full didn't win, but the one in which they only showed a couple of the actors from the other did. Actually we don't fully know that none of the cast is not there, they could be hide amongst alot of the people and the camera is just not showing them because "House" was going to win, meh like I said it wasn't Greys at least.

I normally don't watch awards shows, they bore me but I had a couple favs nominated besides CSI, the fact that CSI was nominated and not snubbed (ie not even acknowledged) is a good thing in the long run, goes to prove that they are still going and won't be ignored.

Congrats to the House win (love the show)...to bad it wasn't CSI, I was really hoping for it, but I am sure as hell happy that Grey's didn't win.

I'm glad House won. It deserved it. I would have liked to have seen CSI win, but alas that time has come and gone.

I've noticed that since certain stories lines appeared on CSI, the show has failed to win in that category for quite some time.

Well People's Choice Awards actually let the winners know ahead of time. That is the one awards show that does. So you can tell by who is in the audience who has won.

Well, we agree on one thing; I am also a House fan.

But I beg to differ on the second point. This poll is geared toward people who go on the website and vote. If you look at CSI's demo rating numbers, it tends to have a lot of older viewers. These are the ones least likely to visit the website, or go onto discussion boards. House, and even Greys Anatomy, tend to have younger viewers. So, like all polls we have discussed on other threads, this one has its own bias. And in the PCA you can vote more than once, which further dismisses it in my mind.

So, I don't really understand how they can justify their choices for tv shows. Clearly there is an easy way to pick the favorites, that's why we have ratings. I think 'favorite' stars are different because they do various things. But, really, the highest rated tv program in each category should be the winner. IMO.
