CSI LV Awards Discussion

I think your correct Smokey what a sin, year after year, the almost always #1 show, and they keep getting snubbed, lets apply for a job on the Emmy board:thumbsup: I think they've won a SAG and PCA, and here's one where they did win!

TV GUIDE AWARD

LOL I meant submitted. I was typing quickly, random thoughts flying through brain and such. :p
Gee now there is an open shot if I ever did have one, and yet I will restrain myself just barely. :guffaw:

 You're so tempted, aren't you Destiny? Go ahead, throw a shot. :p  Let's see what you can come up with. :p
Hmm that would just be mean of me to say something like, you were lost in thought, send out a search party. I mean how cruel would it be for me to say that rocks weigh to much to fly around, and it would be down right nasty of me to say that those flying thoughts kept on going right out the door never to return except as gravel if your lucky. Now see I would NEVER been that hurtful to anyone. :p

All i want to see is the cast getting what they deserve, a cast nomination! i don't understand what the emmy's cannot see that we can and all the other award shows can. The cast of CSI are by far the best in the world yet they havent got the reconition they deserve in that respect. Why?!?! i also want them to get a star on the walk of fame, but thats totally different:)
I don't think the Emmys have a category for cast. You get best shows, best leading/supporting/guest actors and actresses, but no best casts. They have won a SAG for best ensemble cast, though. :)

blonde moment:lol: ok well they should get the best show then, i mean shows like desperate houewives or house or whatever got them within the first few years but Csi hasn't:confused:

The lists of the 10 finalists for drama leading and supporting actors/actresses are out. You can get them here. So I guess CSI's Emmy journey of 2008 ends here unless one of their guest actors gets a nod which I think is a long shot.

But is anyone really surprised?

It would be nice to see someone like George Eads get nominated because he's great actor who just hasn't been appreciated by the writers of CSI or the acting community.

well, i doubt they are too worried about the Emmy's. isn't it the purpose of any award show to help actors/shows/films/musicians become more recognizable and build good quality brands?

of course, it would be nice to get appreciated once or twice for the exceptional job they are doing but it's definitely not the end of the world for the CSI crew. i don't think they need an Emmy as much as some other shows do.

and no, i'm not rationalizing :p

plus there is also the formula of the show that keeps from filming too much of personal drama, which is so favoritized by the Emmy committe. so there you have it. CSI will never be material for Emmy's. one thing that makes me wonder though, how come L&O gets a nod?

CSI will never get nominated because the writers are not very talented in writing personal storylines and when they do, it appears forced and without much thought. Whenever I listen to the commentary, the writers are more focussed on 'oh see what I did, isn't that great' kind of commentary. Which leaves me with the impression that they just don't know how to write storylines that involve emotion. The only one that did it well was Quentin Taratino-and he's kind of macabre writer, but he did a better job bringing out the emotions of the characters then the current set of typewriter monkeys they got going there.

My thinking is that CSI will get some kind of award towards the end of its run.

I also think that there are people out there who will do a different kind of CSI in the future that will be able to balance the personal and criminal element of forensics. I just dont' think it will be this particular CSI or any of the franchise because the writers just aren't interested in creating good storyarcs for the characters-or ones that aren't Catherine or Grissom.

No I'm not bashing these two characters by any means, but they got so much development over the years, while the others just kind of got the leftovers.

So CSI doesn't deserve any kind of nomination and I agree with the Emmy voters on this one.

CSI nominated for Peoples Choice Award

CSI has been nominated for a Peoples Choice award, Don't forget to vote everyday.

Its up against House and Grey's Anatomy.

Re: CSI nominated for Peoples Choice Award

So they're up against House and Grey's, then in the favorite male star there is one from House and one from Grey's but no CSI guy....they have Charlie Sheen! :shifty:

Re: CSI nominated for Peoples Choice Award

YUP, and I voted!

I actually got access to the voting early so I've had mine in for a while...*YAY* Hopefully they win!!!
