Very pretty scene. I had Nightwish "Nemo playing and it made the whole scene really pretty. Keep up the great writing dear.

Hello all! :) Thank you as always for your lovely comments! :D

'Good things come to those who wait...' Hopefully, this will be true for all of you who have been a week without an update! Here are 2 little scenes, both based on DuCaine dreams that I have dreamed!! No lie!! :p The minute I woke up, I wrote down the images I saw, and built a scene around the things I dreamt. Hope you enjoy!

Fade in:
[INT - LAB - EVENING]

Cut to:
(Wide shot of Horatio's office.)

Fade in:
(Shot of Calleigh and Horatio sitting on
the sofa.)

CALLEIGH: Horatio, you know I trust you,
right?

(Horatio nods.)

HORATIO:Mmhmm...

Cut to:
(Close-up as Calleigh gently puts her hand on
Horatio's knee.)

CALLEIGH: I need you to trust me.
(Horatio regards her quietly, letting out a sigh as she
gently squeezes his knee.)
I'd better go...

(She gets up to leave, but Horatio takes her hand.)

HORATIO: Wait...
(He tugs her gently, and Calleigh sits back down again.)
Don't go... I, uh... I know I distance myself, from my
friends, from everyone. Hardly anyone sees past my
defenses, other than my family... But for a long time now,
you've been working past them, little by little... I'm, uh...
I am willing to let you in, Calleigh... into my life... and into
my heart.

(Calleigh smiles brightly.)

Cut to:
(Side shot of Calleigh as she stares at him, pausing briefly
before kissing Horatio's cheek, pulling back quickly to see
his reaction.)

Cut to:
(Horatio smiling at her, stroking her hair.)

Cut back to:
(Calleigh shutting her eyes, smiling widely now.)

Cut to:
(Wide shot as they hug.)

Fade in:
(Long shot of Horatio and Calleigh sitting on
the rooftop of CSI.

It is dawn, and the sun is just starting to come
up.)

Cut to:
(Close-up of Horatio.

Pan left to close-up of Calleigh.)

Cut to:
(Calleigh's left hand resting on the ground
beside her.

Camera moves up to her face as she gazes at
the horizon.)

Cut to:
(Side shot of Horatio.

He turns to look at Calleigh, as her hair
blows in the breeze.)

Cut to:
(Horatio's hand moving closer to Calleigh's,
almost of its own accord.

Their fingers touch lightly.)

Cut to:
(Calleigh turning her head, her eyes wide,
her mouth slightly open in welcome surprise.)

Cut to:
(Shot of Horatio looking down to their hands,
and then back up at Calleigh, his eyes searching
her.)

Cut to:
(Horatio's hand completely covering Calleigh's,
his fingers caressing her skin.

Calleigh shuts her eyes with joy.)

CALLEIGH: Oh, Horatio...

(Horatio smiles, slipping his hand under hers,
his thumb brushing the back of her hand.

They smile at each other.

Calleigh moves in closer, interlacing her fingers
with Horatio's and hugging his waist, her cheek
nestling against his chest.

Horatio wraps his other arm around her shoulders,
pulling her closer to him.

Calleigh smiles as Horatio kisses her hair.

They both look out to the horizon, and the sun
is rising.

Final wide shot of Horatio and Calleigh holding
each other.)

Comments much appreciated! Thank you again! :D

I love how the simplicity of both of their actions make such a monumental effect on the other. Sometimes it's the little things that are important, much as in this case. Great job!!!

Okay everyone... better get out the tissues for this one. It's inspired by 'Lost Son' and is kind of my continuation of 'The Hug', as Horatio and Calleigh comfort each other further, before going to Speedle's funeral. I do not own the dialogue from the actual episode. That scene is the epitome of a DuCaine scene, and I'm only adding my own slant on things. If ever I could write such powerful scenes like 'The Hug', I'd be satisfied. Until then, enjoy the attempts... *small smile* I've never been so serious... but Speed's death hit me so hard, as it did for everyone, so I hope you can feel the grief of these two people who have lost their friend. And to quote The Fray's song, 'How To Save a Life' before we begin:

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Here's the scene:

CALLEIGH: Do you want me to help you with Tim’s things?

HORATIO: No, thank you. Hey…It’s okay. You hang in there.

[Horatio and Calleigh hug.]

Cut to:
(Wide shot of Horatio and Calleigh still holding each other,
focusing in for a second.

Calleigh sniffs, giving a quiet sob.

Her shoulders shake, and she starts to cry.)

HORATIO: Ssshh... it's okay, Cal, it's okay, ssshh...

(Camera pans to side shot of Calleigh as she leans against
Horatio, her eyes shut tightly.

She lets out a shaky breath.

Camera moves to her fingers moving on Horatio's back, grabbing
at his jacket for dear life.)

Cut to:
(Horatio squeezing her shoulder with his right hand, his face turning
into her neck more.)

CALLEIGH: Horatio... what will we do?

(Horatio is silent for a moment.)

HORATIO: We must be brave... we must mourn, and do our best to keep
going. That's all anyone can do, Calleigh.

CALLEIGH: How can we? We'll never be the same again, I...

(She sobs softly again, before pulling back to look at him.

Horatio loosesns his arms slightly around her.)

CALLEIGH: I... just can't imagine him not being here... laughing with us, working
with us... he was a part of this team, of this lab, of all of us.

(Horatio listens quietly.)

HORATIO: I know... I know...

(Calleigh pulls back more, and Horatio lets her go.

She turns her back to him as she talks now.)

CALLEIGH: His locker being emptied... going to his funeral... it doesn't seem
real, Horatio.
(She shuts her eyes.)
Please... tell me it's all a dream and I'll wake up any second.

Cut to:
(Front shot of Horatio looking down sadly.

He gives the ballistics report one last look, before laying it down.)

HORATIO: I really wish I could, Calleigh. Really, I do.

Cut to:
(Side shot of Calleigh as she nods.)

CALLEIGH: I know you would... but the pain I feel now... that's why it's not
a dream.

Cut to:
(Front shot of Calleigh standing still.

She lets out a sharp breath, putting her hand on her heart, bending forward.

Horatio moves quickly towards her, his arms holding her waist from behind.)

HORATIO: Calleigh!

CALLEIGH: Oh, God...
(She starts crying.)
It hurts, Horatio, it hurts!

Cut to:
(Wide shot of Horatio holding Calleigh.

He turns her around to face him, and she wraps her arms around his neck, her
face buried in his chest.

Horatio holds her to him, his right hand hugging her waist, and his left hand rubbing
her hair.)

HORATIO: I've got you... let it out, sweetheart. It'll only break your heart.

(They stand for a moment or two.

Calleigh lifts her head, her face streaked with tears.)

CALLEIGH: (sniffing) You... you have things to do, I'm keeping you...

(Horatio stops her, leaning in close to her, both arms around her waist now.)

HORATIO: You're not. Don't ever think you're wasting my time... you mean more to
me than anything. I'm letting you know now, Calleigh, I, umm...

(He turns away for a second.

Calleigh looks at him, her eyes shiny and filled with questions.

Horatio turns back, leaning in closer.

Calleigh closes her eyes, a few small tears leaking out.)

HORATIO: I'm here for you... always.

(Calleigh smiles tearfully, nodding.

Taking a massive breath, she gives him one final hug before pulling away.)

CALLEIGH: I'd better find Eric, then head over to...

(She pauses, looking at Horatio. He nods sadly.)

CALLEIGH: Thank you, Horatio.

(She puts her hand on his cheek.)

CALLEIGH: I can always count on you.

(Horatio holds her hand to his face, his eyes closing.

He presses a kiss into her palm.)

HORATIO: I'll see you later, okay?

CALLEIGH: Okay.

(She turns to go, and is at the door when Horatio calls her name quietly.)

Cut to:
(Front shot as Calleigh looks back to him.)

HORATIO: You hang in there, Calleigh.

(Calleigh gives him a shaky smile.)

CALLEIGH: You too, Horatio.

(One last look, and she's gone.

Horatio turns back to the empty locker-room.

He closes his eyes, letting out a massive sigh.)

HORATIO: I love you... know that, Calleigh. I love you...

*the rest of the episode...*

 that is so sweet! for a second I tought she'd have a heart attack and die in the locker room! But then I realised this wasn't a Talleigh story and.... and, yeah :p

Anywho... Great as always :D
