Here's an update!!
I love period films, like 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'Sense and Sensibility', so I decided to do a scene from BBC's miniseries, 'Jane Eyre' between Jane and Mr Rochester DuCaine style!! Seeing as there is so much romantic potery in the Fanfic Poetry thread on the Fanfic forum, this is a fitting tribute. This is my favourite scene in the series, as you'll soon see,
and I hope you'll enjoy!! It's a bit short, but I'm still debating whether or nor to post the scene I wrote as an 'Open Water' aftermath... might post that during the week... for now, enjoy reading this, and check out 'Jane Eyre' on YouTube too!!
COLD OPEN
(Shot of Miami at night.)
Fade in:
(Shot of condo, panning into the bedroom.)
Fade in:
(Shot of Calleigh moving around the bedroom, hanging up her coat
and unclipping her gun, as Horatio's disembodied voice echoes around her.)
HORATIO: You can't hate me, Calleigh. I didn't mean to deceive you.
(Calleigh lays down on the bed, and closes her eyes.)
HORATIO: Unlike you, I cannot live without the warmth of human companionship...
I roam the world, then returning one night to this cold dark place...
Fade in:
(Shot of Horatio and Calleigh sitting on the bed.
Horatio is holding Calleigh's left hand, his other hand behind
her head.
Side shot as they look at each other.)
HORATIO: I saw this... this magical thing. You were in my path...
do you remember?
(Still holding her, Horatio lays Calleigh down, leaning over her.)
HORATIO: And since that moment, I've never wanted to leave the
place that you were. But when you left... waiting for my little bird to
return.
(He kisses her, pulling back, inches from her face.)
HORATIO: We are one, you and I. We have to be together... we're like those
twins, so intertwined in their senses and feelings that they can cry out to one
another across continents so close are their thoughts...
(He kisses her again, his hand running through her hair.)
HORATIO: Oh... say that you don't love me... I dare you. You can't.
CALLEIGH: I won't. I will love you until I die.
(Horatio smiles, kissing her.)
HORATIO: Yet you would leave me... you mean to go your way and for me to
go mine...
CALLEIGH: Yes, sir.
(Horatio chuckles.)
HORATIO: Sir... not Horatio...
(He traces the lines of her face, his fingers gentle.
Her breathing can be heard, as she closes her eyes.)
White flash to:
(The present.
Calleigh opens her eyes, blinking slowly, staring at
the ceiling.
A single tear trails down her cheek.)
Just to talk about the last one: the part where Calleigh's dad drives away might not have necessarily happened, but it seems possible with his drinking problem, that he's heading to a bar alright. Good observations, sorry about any confusion!!
Another update coming soon!
