Horatio's phone rang while he was in the middle of kissing Calleigh. He pulled away, and looked down, embarrassed. He pulled it from his belt and looked at the caller id with extreme perplexion. It read, 'Eric Delko.'
"Calleigh, I'll be with you in a second. I have to take this," he said, holding his hand up. He took a few steps away, then said into the phone, "Eric, why are you calling me? This had better be good." Eric explained to him that he wanted to get away with Alyssa. "Eric, you are playing a dangerous game, a very dangerous game. I wish you hadn't called me, and you just left. To honor Marisol and Speedle, I will let you go. I'm sure I can think of an excuse for you absence, although, you know as well as I, that they can find out who you called through both of our phone records. It's only a matter of time before someone realizes that I'm inadvertantly covering for you, and my lieutenant status hardly means anything in NY. If this works out, I better never see you or hear from you ever again." He looked anxiously over at Calleigh who was standing innocently in front of the quaint little building. This was going to be one of the biggest nights of his life with her and Eric had to call with a request such as his.
