That was by far the DUMBEST of all exits. They used it to bring back Speedle's ghost, which made it even more insane, then to showcase Delko's head injury. I won't even dare touch where they went to next with his (Cooper) involvement with Calleigh's "abduction". For Heavens sakes, really. Just being able to mention all those ridiculous things in one paragraph makes it even more dumb. How they wrote out Dan Cooper is a great example of what NOT to do.
I have to say I've been reading the producers blogs & I think this show just tends to concentrate on how everything looks & is done, rather than concentrating on our characters or continuity. It's a shame, it doesn't have to be that way. I'm quite sure there's just as much hard work involved in NY, & Criminal Minds (research I imagine would be tough for that one), but they still manage to play out thier characters well.
Miami has never been too character-driven, but I personally thought they did a much better job in the earlier seasons ...they don't have to have long drawn out arcs just to flesh out a character.

^^ I was referring to the producers blogs found weekly on the CBS/Miami site. It gives you a peek into what they have to work with in making an episode (from writing to filming to casting, etc.)
Have producers at some point explained the lack of character development on this show compared to the two others?
I noticed that you "said" Ann ´s contract might be up too. What does that mean in a show like this? Can producers get fired?
What was with Tara? Why'd she leave like that? Actress's contract up or something?
They don't have birthdays on Miami. They don't have pets either, or hobbies.
I love that on Vegas too. This being Miami, there has to be a place where people rollerskate outside (they show this once in a while on Burn Notice which also takes place in Miami). It would be neat if the case were about a dead rollerskater found outside at the skate park or whatever. And at the end, the team goes rollerskating.

Horatio on rollerskates? Now THAT I would pay to see! :guffaw:
