*Last night's Grammy's were really good, lots of great artists lots of bad ones and everything in between, but one stood out above the rest no matter who they are or how talented they are it was Mick Jagger OMG, amazing the man is 68 and has the trim body of a 28 yr. old. He danced, pranced and rocked the house. In todays paper it said in a brief statement~

A segment devoted to music stars who've passed in 2010 peaked with a tribut to soul giant Solomon Burke, with Mick Jagger performing for the first time ever on the Grammy's, bringing down the house with a version of Burke's "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" backed by nouveau-retro R&B singer Raphael Saadiq and his band. The audience were aghast and mouths dropping open, and Jagger strutted his stuff for nearly 10 minutes. I was one of them, if you've never seen him live them you've missed a real treat. The man never ages and is the same as he was 40 years ago, one word is magical:wtf:

EYES ON THE PRIZES

With the OSCARS only a week away [Feb.27 on ABC], here's a cheat sheet on which high profile films are likely to nab the top awards!

"THE KINGS SPEECH" This drama is a true story about triumphing over adversity and earned 12 nods and is poised to reign as Best Picture with Tom Hooper the director, and Coln Firth, as the stammering-afflicted George V1, is sure to be crowned Best Actor:bolian:

"THE SOCIAL NETWORK" The "Facebook" move was lauded by critics groups , but suspect the Academy will un-friend it in the Best Picture category. But, it should clinch Best screenplay for Aaron Sorkin~

"BLACK SWAN" with Natalie Portman is favored to win Best Actresss, for playing a paranoid ballerina. Her main competition often-nominated vet Annette Benning, for "THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT"~

"THE FIGHTER" Christian Bale, as boxer Mickey Ward's crack-addicted half-brother, can't miss for Best Supporting Actor, and Melissa Leo, who plays Mickey's mouthy mom, will also score a knockout.~

"TRUE GRIT" Unless young Hailee Steinfeld manages an upset for Best Supporting Actress, forget about major awards. Writer-directors Joel and his brother Ethan Coen probably won't care..at press time, Grit looked on track to overtake "Dances With Wolves" as the highest-grossing Western..ever!!

CBS, Warner pull plug on season of Sheen's sitcom
Feb 24, 11:56 PM (ET)
By LYNN ELBER

LOS ANGELES (AP) - In the wake of an incendiary radio interview with "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen, CBS and Warner Bros. Television said they are ending production on TV's top-rated sitcom for the season.

The decision was based on the "totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition," the companies said in a joint statement Thursday. The show's future was not addressed.

Production had been suspended in January to allow Sheen to seek rehabilitation. Earlier Thursday, Warner and Sheen's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, said the series would resume taping next week with Sheen.

That was before the 45-year-old actor's rambling, often vitriolic radio interview with host Alex Jones in which Sheen blasted "Two and a Half Men" producer Chuck Lorre and other targets including Alcoholics Anonymous.

The abrupt decision to pull the plug on additional episodes of the lucrative sitcom came after Sheen's increasingly erratic behavior, including an earlier interview in which he claimed he had sought to return to work but was barred by producers.

Full article is at Iwon/AP News.

He's so blowing it, now he's lost his job, he needs to be quiet, but keeps on with his nasty rhetoric and insulting his boss, not good.:scream: So much for his $1.2 million per episode. On a path to nowhere:(

I have to agree with you, Desertwind about Charlie keep his mouth shut. The guy that played Mike and Molly, he is the one played Mike and he said, how about 1 and half men? I think Jon Cryer and the kid that played his son are funnier then Charlie Sheen.

Charlie Sheen want to leave the show this years. Why don't he just leave the show.

He did want to leave earlier before the season began, but didn't leave because the significant raise of his salary was too tempting to resist. That's the only reason I can figure anyway. But its sad that he can't get his head straight for the sake of his children, parents and siblings. It's sad that his behavior has caused the rest of the cast and crew of the show to lose money. Hopefully they'll get some jobs while this show is on hiatus.

I've got the news on in the background and they had his ranting on again and called the show a "puke fest", and his boss a "maggot" nice Charlie.. he actually think's he runs the show, and he doesn't:confused: Chuck Lorre does. Maybe they can get another comedian on to replace him. I got tired of it a few years back the same old same old. All he does is bed girls and drink:eek:great enviornment for the teenage nephew. He's playing the charcter real life and added drugs to the mix!

SHEEN KEEPS RANTING:CBS, WARNER MOVING ON

Los Angeles..As Charlie Sheen continued to rant on, his bosses at "Two And A Half Men" seemed prepared on Friday to move on. The network's decision to stop production of television's most popular sitcom this season..and maybe for good..has multi-million dollar implications for CBS and producer Warner Bros. Television, but it's hardly fatal. The remaining 4 episodes were scrapped Thursday after Sheen called the shows ex.producer Chuck Lorre a "contaminated little maggot" Sheen's remarks were made on a radio program and in a letter posted on the TMZ website. He kept it up on Friday, calling Lorre a "clown and a loser", in text messages to ABC's "Good Morning America", and vowing to show up for work next week. However, there won't be any work for him to do, as Sheen's erratic personal life may finally have killed a job that repeortedly pays him $1.8 million per episode. He's been hospitalized 3 times in 3 months, with the production put on hold in January after his most recent hospital stay following a night of frenzied partying. Taping was to resume next week, a plan that blew up on Thursday. "Ther comes a time when one says "ENOUGH", said Jeffery Stepakoff a veteran TV writer and author of "Billion Dollar Kiss:The Kiss That Saved Dawson's Creek" and "Other Adventures" in TV writing"said Friday. The last original episode ot "TAAHM", aired on Feb. 14. Sheen plays a hard-partying playboy in the series, which has been a durable performer for CBS for 8 seasons. It has averaged 14.6 million viewers this season, down 4% from last year, said the Nielsen Co.. The show has fluctuated a little in audience, wth the 16.5 million viewer average in the 2004-05 it's highest and 13.8 million in 2007-08 the lowest., Nielsen said. "It's very hard to get rid of a show that is successful and popular and has served as a launching pas for other comediess", said Brad Adgate, a television analyst for Horizon Media. "This is still a hit-driven business and it's hard to get a hit like that". Sheen said in a interview Friday with Pat O'Brien on FOX radio's "Loose Cannon" show, said he would not fight any effort to not pay him for the balance of his contract, which runs through next season. He questioned whether he would go back for a 9th season or not, and called it a "toxic environment" [and what are you dude?]

Now Charlie Sheen is saying he thinks he's underpaid and deserves more for what the producers have put HIM through. He's now wanting a 50% pay raise (3 Million per episode instead of the 1.2 million or whatever it is that he's making now). Here's the article: Sheen says he wants a raise.

This just in: Charlie Sheen's agent resigned. He says at this time he cannot effectively do his job as Sheen's publicist.

Don't forget, he demand a apology from CBS. They don't own him apology, he does. He is the one that cause people out of job. He make 1.8 million per. episode. CBS better not give that money. He is the one cause AJ and Paget to lose their job. Who next if Charlie get more.
