*Clint Eastwood and Beyonce may be teaming up to make a muasical version of "A Star Is Born". Warner Bros. confirms that the two are in negotiations to remake the 1937 classic. Eastwood is in talks to direct, while Beyonce, who has been attached to the project for some time, would be the star. Set to produce are Billy Berber, Basil Iwanyk and Jon Peters, who made the 1976 version of the film with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson~

*Ivanka Trimp and her husband are expecting their first child. The "Celebrity Apprentice" co-host announced on Friday on her Twitter that she's pregnant. In 2009, she married Jared Kushner, a New York real estate scion and publisher of The New York Observer weekly newspaper. The 29-year old Trump and his former wife Ivana, is VP at her father's real estate company and has her own jewerly company [so the kid will be born into wealthy-ness?]

*Massachusetts native Jay Leno is Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Man of the Year. Hasty Pudding Theatricals is the nation's oldest undergraduate drama troupe. It says "The Tonight Show" host was selected because he has entertained millions of people over his long and accomplished career in comedy. Leno follows in the footsteps of his mentor Johnny Carson. He won the Hasty Pudding award in 1977. Leno is due to receive his pudding pot at a roast Feb.4~

Charlie Sheen's publicist says the actor has been hospitalized in Los Angeles with "severe abdominal", pains. Publicist Stan Rosenfield gave no other details of the 45-year-old's condition. The celebrity website TMZ.com was the first to report Sheen's hospitalization on Thursday. TMZ says Sheen was taken by ambulance following an early morning call to 911. The Emmy-nominated star of CBS's "Two And A Half Men", has been dogged by personal problems and apparently health issues. This is his 3rd hospitalization in just a few months. And last week, CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler said "network officials" have a high level of concern about his off camera behavior. [don't mess with Nina]:wtf:What's his problem? clean up your act Charlie:(He's got 5 children why isn't he with them...ever?

Supposedly, his father talked him into going to rehab, so he entered rehab yesterday and his show is on production hiatus for the time being. As for his five kids, his oldest, a daughter named Cassandra is married now. Just got married within that last year or so I believe. I think she's in her early twenties. I hope he can get his life in order. This is supposedly the fifth time he's been in rehab. Sometimes it takes a while for an addict to get sober. Hopefully this fifth time will be the charm for Charlie and he'll get healthier for his sake and his childrens' sakes.
 
Penelope Cruz and Javier Badem are the proud parents of a baby boy. A spokesman for the actress confirmed Wednesday that Cruz gave birth to the baby last week and says "both parents and the baby are doing great". She provided no other details. The couple were married at the beginning of July in the Bahamas. The 36-year-old Cruz and the 41-year-old Bardem are both from Spain. They appeared together in the 2008 Woody Allen romantic comedy "Vicky Barcelona". Cruz won a best supporting-actress for her role. Bardem is nominated for best actor this year for his role in the Spanish-language drama "Biutiful". He won a supporting-actor Oscar for the 2007 crime thriller "No Country For Old Men"~

*Anthony Hopkins horror film "THE RITE" topped the box office on a weekend notable for the bump many Oscar-nominated film received, according to studio estimates Sunday. The Warner Bros. flick earned $15 million from just under 3,000 theaters. The PG-13 "Exorcist" influnced movie drew most of it's audience from the older-than-25 demographic. In it's 10th week of release, Weinstein Company's "THE KING'S SPEECH" earned $11.1 million while adding nearly 900 screens. Now with a cumulative box-office haul of $72.2 million, the story of King George V1's triumph over his stuttering affliction continues to build momentum as the Oscar favorite for best picture. It led with 12 Oscar nominations on Tuesday, and it's director, Tom Hooper, won best director from the Directors Guild on Saturday. Last week's top flm, the Natalie Portman romantic comedy "NO STRINGS ATTACHED" from Paramount, slipped to 2nd with $13.7 million. The other debut this weekend, CBS Films action film "THE MECHANIC", which stars Jason Statham and Ben Foster, took in $11.5 million, and tied for 3rd with Sony's updated superhero film "THE GREEN HORNET". The Coen brothers western "TRUE GRIT" was up 4% in it's 6th week, bringing it's total to $138 million. "THE FIGHTER", in it's 8th week, and Portman's "BLACK SWAN", in it's 9th week, had only a slight drop-offs from the prior weekend. Still, it was hard to ignore the rising tide of 'The King's Speech", which has upsurped David Fincher's riveting film "THE SOCIAL NETWORK". as prognosticator's pick to win best picture at the Acacemy Awards on Feb. 27. It's star Colin Firth, is believed to be a shoo-in for best actor~

*Omar Sharif, Egypt's most famous actor, says he's concerned for the future of his country. Cairo's Tahrir Square, where protests have been centered, is visible from his high-rise apartment and helicopters buzz overhead. "They want the president to step down, this is the first thing, after that, they do not know what they want", he told the The Associated Press on Monday. "I personally don't know what they will do afterwards, and who will they bring, and who will take his place, and who will be in charge of the country"? *David Arquette's publicist says the actor has checked out of rehab. In an e-mail Monday to The Associated Press, said his agent Cindy Guagenti confirms the 39-year-old actor left Sunday after completing treatment for alcohol and other problems. He entered an undisclosed rehab center nearly a month ago. Arquette and Courteney Cox announced their seperation in October, after 11 years of marriage. They have a 6-yr. old daughter Coco~

*Billy Joel's reaction to Elton John's declaration that the Piano Man needs rehab is one "big shrug". In a statement relased, Joel says "Elton is just being Elton" John took his former touring partner to task in an interview for the Feb. 17 edition of Rolling Stone, saying Joel needs to do "something better with his life" and get serious about rehab. [the nerve]. He also said that the pair had to cancel many tours becasue of Joel's illnesses and his "alcoholism"~

*Charlie Sheen was "very, very intoxicated", and in a lot of pain when a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon called 911, and the actor was taken to the hospital, according to the doctor's call to dispatchers which was just released. Lindsay Lohan's attorney is denying allegations that the actress stole a $2,500 becklance. Attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, said in a statement Saturday that she and Lohan will fight the case if charges are filed against the 24-yer. old. Los Angeles police investigated whether Lohan took the neccklace without permission from a jewerly store last month and presented potential evidence to prosecutors on Wednesday. If charges are filed, it would be another blow for her since she has struggled to complete the terms of her probation on a 2007 drunken driving charge, and was recently released from the Betty Ford clinic for violating her court case, on drug charges~[maybe her and Sheen should get together]:rolleyes:

*The college thriller "THE ROOMMATE" has moved into the top spot at the box office with a $15.6 million debut during a typcially slow Super Bowl weekend. The Sony release features Leighton Meester as a psycho freshman who becomes obsessed with her new roommate Minka Kelly. The 3-D underwater cave adventure "SANCTUM" whose producers include "Avatar" creator James Cameron, drew modest crowds and came in 2nd with $9.2 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. The previous weekend's #1 movie Anthony Hopkins exorcism thriller 'THE RITE", fell steeply to 6th place with $5.6 million. The Warner Bros. release raised it's 10-day total to $23.7 million~

*Prosecutors say they will charge Lindsay Lohan with felony grand theft of a $2,500 necklace reported stolen from a jewelry store. The charge, which will be filed today, brings Lohan, who remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case, annother step closer to returning to jail. Los Angeles police said that Lohan was under investigation for taking a necklace from a Venice store later identified as Kamofie and Co. [gawd, she's just not getting it, she was just been recently released from a rehab facility, the 5th time, and is accused of hitting a worker there, and then does this, what's it gonna take to get her on the straight & narrow?]

*The Tony Award winning hit musical "Chicago" is getting supermodel makeover..Christie Brinkley is joining the Broadway cast. Brinkley will appear as the jailed killer Roxie Hart for an 11-week engagement from April 4 to June 19 at the Ambassador Theater on 49th Street. The 57-year-old model made her acting debut in 1983 opposite Chevy Chase in "National Lampoon's Vacation" and it's 1997 sequel "Vegas Vacation"~

*The Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am said his attempt to tweet during the band's half-time Sper Bowl performance Sunday was thwarted after he discovered his cell phone had no service. His Twitter handle was silent until after the game, when he sent out a series of tweets beginning with "ATT crashed...ahhhh!!!. The worse. An AT &T spokesperson did not immediately comment to The Associated Press on Sunday night~

*Elizabeth Taylor remained in a Los Angeles hospital on Saturday for treatment of congestive heart failure. The 78 year-old Taylor first disclosed in November 2004 that she suffered from that ailment.~

*U.S. civil rights activist and singer Harry Belafonte says Marlon Brando's death was one trigger for his decision to make a documentary reflecting the events of his own life. The 83 year-old Belafonte presented the film "Sing Your Song" at the Berlin film festival on Saturday. Belafonte was close in his youth to Brando, who died in 2004. He says that little is known about the actor's work as a social activist, and when Brando died he was saddened, not just at losing a friend, but a great artist "but that also the history books had lost a story"
