*There's no stopping "LIMITLESS" at the box office. The sci-fi thriller opened at No 1 this weekend with $19 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. The film from Relativity Media stars Bradley Cooper, as a struggling writer who takes a magical pill that allows him to tap into his maximum brain potential. Suddenly he's cleaned up, making millions and wowing everyone he meets. Robert DeNiro co-stars as a financial guru who's fascinated by him, also with Abbie Cornish as Cooper's skeptical girlfriend. "Limitless" broke out of a crowded pack of new releases and holdovers to take the top spot. Last week's No. 1, the alien invasion movie "BATTLE:LOS ANGELES" fell to 3rd place with $14.6 million. The Sony Pictures release has now made an estimated $60.6 million in 2 weeks. Coming in 2nd was the animated Western "RANGO", featuring the voice of Johnny Depp, as a chameleon who's stuck in the desert, The Paramount film made $15.3 million for a 3-week total of nearly $92.6 million. At No. 4 was the Lionsgate thriller "THE LINCOLN LAWYER", starring Matthew McConaughey as a sleazy defense attorney on a high-profile case. It made an estimated $13.4 million. In 5th place was "PAUL", with Seth Rogen providing the voice of the pot-smoking, wise cracking alien who befriends a couple of British sci-fi geeks, played by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost [who also wrote the script]. The Universal Pictures comedy about $13.2 million. On the other end of the success spectrum is "MARS NEEDS MOMS" which came in 8th place with just $5.3 million. The 3-D animated adventure movie from Disney, about a little boy who follows his mom when aliens kidnap him and take her and him to Mars, cost an estimated $150 million to make. It's only grossed about $15.4 million in two weeks and has just 38% positive reviews on the Rotten Tomatoes website~

*Bryan Adams is now enshrined in concrete. The Canadian singer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist and producer got his Hollywood Walk Of Fame star Monday in front of the Musicians Institute. His hits included "Cut Like A Knife", "Summer of '69', "Run To You", and "Everything I Do, I Do It For You". Adams recalled visiting Hollywood Blvd. At 16 and marveling at the stars. He said he "was humbled by seeing his own star".

*"Autumn Leaves" and "Born Free" pianist Roger Williams is battling pancreatic cancer. The 86-year old entertainer known as "The Pianist To The Presidents", because of his many presential performances writes in an e-mail message to friends that he "started chemotherapy last week"~

*A wimpy kid has delivered a knockout punch to a band of warrior vixens at the weekend box ofice. The 20th Centruy Fox family sequel "DIARY OF A WIMPY KID:RODERICK RULES" debuted as the No. 1 movie with $24.4 million, according to stuio estimates Sunday. The girl power action fantasy "SUCKER PUNCH", released by Warner Bros., opened at No.2 with "19 million. The previous weekend' top movie., Relativity Media's sci-fi thriller 'LIMITLESS" slipped to No. 3 with $15.2 million, raising it's total to $41.3 million. "Roderick Rules" did a bit more business that it's predecessor "Dairy of a Wimpy Kid", which opened a year ago with $22.1 million. The "Wimpy Kid" movies are based on the children's books by Jeff Kinney about a timid youth trying to cope at achool and home. The sequel casts wimpy kid Greg Zachary Gordon into sibling rivalry and bonding with one of his chief tormentors, older brother Devon Bostick. Though its main characters are boys, the movie drew family crowds of both sexes, said Fox distibution executive Bert Livingston. The appeal of the story is in the title, he said. "Wimpy", because every kid knows that feeling.That's why "Spider Man" works. Everybody thinks that they could be the outsider and could be "spider Man", Livingston said. "I think anyone can associate with that, and I think that's why we got fathers and mothers and young people male and female.

*Eva Longoria says she wants to be the voice of thousands of silent children working in deplorable conditions around the world. The "Desperate Housewives" star is the executive producer for "Harvest", a documentary that follows three migrant boys as they work 14-hour days in the U.S. fields along the border with Mexico. Lopngoria says she wants "to be the voice of these children no one listens to". The 36-yr. old actress attended the documentary's premiere at Mexico's Guadlajara International Film Festival on Saturday~

*Kevin Kline likes roles that teach him something. The Oscar winner brushed up on his French to play a French-speaking American in "Queen To PLay", an offbeat drama set for release Friday in the U.S. Kline also "upped" his chess game for the film, in which his character employs a Corsican cleaning woman who picks up the game. Charlie Sheen's tour flops in Detroit with boos and walk-outs

Charlie Sheen's "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour got a rough start in Detroit on Saturday as word quickly spread through Twitter that Sheen's show was a flop.

The actor's one man show kicked off in the Detroit as part of a 20-stop tour across North America.

Associated Press reporter Mike Householder, who Tweeted during the event, reported, "Fans yell 'refund' at Sheen show in Detroit." Householder also said, "Sheen promised Snoop, who's thus far nowhere to be seen." The rapper never showed up and instead, Sheen debuted a new music video by the rapper, but by then many of the audience members had left.

The show lasted 70-minutes with a capacity crowd at Detroit's 5,100-seat Fox Theatre, who began to rebel before the show ended, chanting "refund!" and walking out in droves. Tickets to the show cost $45 to $80.

*The Easter bunny has hopped into the top spot at last weekends box office. Russell Brand's family comedy "HOP" debuted at No. 1 with $38.1 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. With Brand providing the voice of the reluctant new Easter bunny "Hop" bound well beyond the expectations of the industry analysts, who had figured the movie would debut in the $25 million range. Jake Gyllenhaal's action thriller "SOURCE CODE" debuted at No. 2 with $15.1 million. The haunted-house tale "INSIDIOUS" opened at No. 3 with $13.5 million.~

*The good news for Russell Brand is that his animated comedy "HOP remains the top movie for the 2nd straight weekend with $21.7 million. The bad news is that his live--action comedy ARTHUR" could not jump as high as "HOP". The Warner Bros. remake of Dudley Moore's remake of the 1981 romance about a rich, drunken man-child learning how to grow up. "Arthur" was a distant 2nd with a modest debut of $12.6 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. Opening close behind at No. 3 with $12.3 million was Focus Features "HANNA" the tale of a teenager trained as a killing machine that stars Cate Blanchette, Eric Bana and Saoirse Ronan. Sony's "SOUL SURFER" debuted at #4 with $11.1 million. The movie features AnnaSophiaRobb in the real life story of a surfer struggling toward a comeback after losing a arm in a shark attack. The weekend's other wide release, Universal's medieval action comedy "YOUR HIGHNESS", opened at #6 with $9.5 million, weak results given a cast that indludes Natalie Portman and James Franco~

*Tyler Perry movie mogul delevered on a Christmas promise when he handed the keys of a new 4-bedroom house to an 88-yr. old woman, who had lost her rural Georgia home to a fire. Rosa Lee Ransby and her 7-grandchildren and great-grandchildren lost their home a week before Christmas. Perry saw the story on a local TV newscast and decided to rebuld the home. *Benicio del Toro is becoming a dad. A spokesman for the 44-yr. old actor says del Toro is expecting a child with reality star Kimberly Stewart, who is Rod Stewart's daughter. Publicist Robin Baum says "although they are not a couple", del Toro and Kimberly are looking forward to the baby's arrival. She says "Benicio is the father and is very supportive"

*A New York press conference for John Travolta's latest project "GOTTI:THREE GENERATIONS" had a surprise gues :Lindsay Lohan. The 24-yr. old starlet has been rumored to be up for the role of Victoria Gotti, daughter of the infamous "Dapper Don" John Gotti. Producer Marc Fiore confirmed Tuesday that he's in talks with Lohan but said nothing had been finalized. He says Lohan is "a terrific actress" Lohan has starred in such films as "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday". She has been plagued by legal problems in recent years and is not battling a felony grand teft charge in California over a $2,500 necklace. Travolta will star as the leader of the legendary Gambino crime family. The biopic is set to begin filming in October and is slated for release in late 2012~

*PEOPLE magazine is naming Jennifer Lopez the Worlds Most Beautiful Woman :rolleyes: The singer, actress and "American Idol" judge tops the magazine's annual list of this title in a special double issue. Lopez if joined on this honor role by such lovelies as Halle Berry, Jennifer Garner and Beyonce Knowles Commenting on her lofty title, the 41-yr. old Lopez says "I feel happy and proud, proud that I'm not 25"~

Sorry, Charlie: Studio denies `Men' return talks

LOS ANGELES – Lawyers for the studio behind "Two and a Half Men" are rejecting Charlie Sheen's claim that he's in talks to return to the hit CBS sitcom.

A letter Thursday from attorneys for Warner Bros. Television to Sheen's lawyer dismisses as "false" Sheen's comments that discussions are under way to reinstate him. Details of the letter were confirmed by a person close to the situation who requested anonymity because they lacked authority to speak publicly.

Sheen told a Boston radio station Tuesday that there was an "85 percent" chance of his returning to "Two and a Half Men." He was fired last month after outbursts directed at the show's producer.

The letter from the firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson to Sheen's attorney, Marty Singer, says there are no discussions regarding Sheen rejoining "Two and Half Men" and there will be none.

A call to Singer was not immediately returned.
 
*Sally Field has signed on to play the wife of Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg's film biography of the 6th president. The casting announcement Wednesday gives "Lincoln" a pair of two time Academy Award winners in lead roles. Also starring as Lincoln is Daniel Day-Lewis was a best-actor winner for "My Left Foot", and "There Will Be Blood", Field is a best-actress for "Norma Rae" and "Places In The Heart" She is playing Mary Todd Lincoln. Spielberg says Field was his 1st choice to portray the "fragility and complexity" of Lincoln's wife. The film is based on Doris Kearns Goodwin's book "Team of Rivals:The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln", which examines the president's relationship with his key advisors. Shooting begins this fall, and will be released in 2012~
