Valera frowned at her. She was telling him that she 'doesn't wanna keep her there'. But to Valera, her message was more of 'I changed my mind, now let me be alone, please'. It was almost she had wanted her to go.

Valera took the hint. Maybe she wasn't ready to talk about it, whatever it was. Maybe she needed sometime alone to think... And she respected that.

She noticed Calleigh looking out of the window. She followed her gaze and saw Ryan with Natalia. And Ryan leaving in a hurry. She caught Calleigh cringed. Valera was shaking her head, whatever is going on in your mind...

She finally gathered her belongings and said, "Okay, Cal... See you tomorrow?" She smiled. Be tough, Cal...
 
Calleigh snapped out of her thoughts.

"Yeah, see you tomorrow Val. Enjoy your bath. I gotta go..."

She walked out and towards Natalia. "Natalia? Where'd Ryan go?"
 
"Hi Calleigh." She mumbed, "Oh it's no big deal, just something about his Uncle. I hope he's ok." She smiled weakly, "Everything ok? You look worried." She mumbled that she was fine, and looked around anxiously. Natalia could tell she wanted her to leave, and that she definatly wasn't going to tell her whats wrong. Being the mole did have its downsides. No one would talk to her. "Ok, well I gotta go. Ryan wanted me to tell Horatio where he is. I'll see you around?" She left down the hall, leaving a very confused Calleigh.
 
[Okay, where is everyone? I know where Sue is, and I've seen both Katie and Irma around, and Jessi is still catching up, but...where is CSIAli? Where is Kate? Am I the only one trying to keep this thread alive? Come on girls!]

Calleigh stayed behind in the parking lot, not sure what to do or say. Natalia said Ryan was going to his uncle, but she didn't know why. She knew though, that he would never do it on the clock unless it was really neccessairy. She trusted him. Then she remebered they had invented cell phones to be able to reach each other from afar. She grabbed hers and pushed the speeddial for Ryan's number.

"Hey, this is Ryan Wolfe, I can't come to the phone right now, but if you leave your number I'll call back as soon as I can."

Great, voicemail. For a moment she thought about hanging up, but she decided to leave a message anyway.

"Ryan, it's Calleigh. Natalia told me you went to your uncle in a hurry, I hope everything's okay. Just...call me back when you can, alright? Thanks. Bye."

And she walked back inside.
 
[Uh... *scratches head* Valera had gone home, I think... So I mainly lurk in the background... Or maybe not :p]


Valera was walking towards the frontdoor when she bumped into Natalia. It wasn't like she was glad to see her. But she had to keep her professionalism, right? "Hi." she said briefly, didn't even smile.

She almost walked away but then remembered the result she was supposed to give Ryan, "Wait!"
Natalia gave her a quizical look. Valera just about to ask, when her mind stopped her... Could she trust her? Has she learnt to trust her enough? I'll probably just give it to Ryan myself. But another question arised, could it wait till the next day? Crime doesn't stop even if your shift is over, does it?

She sighed, but then saw Calleigh coming her way. Valera quickly said to Natalia, "Nevermind." and approached Calleigh.

"Hey, I'm just on my way out..." She smiled at her, then remembered she could probably ask Calleigh, "Where's Ryan going? I thought he needs that result a.s.a.p, but..." then it seemed to her Calleigh wasn't even listening. She frowned at her, "Cal, are you sure you're okay?"


[Just contributing something (feel free to dismiss her again :lol:) Haven't watch One Of Our Own so I don't know Val's reaction to Boa.]
 
"I am fine, Ryan has a family emergancy, give me the results and I'll give them to him when he gets back. Now why aren't you in your bathtub? Go home, before you have to work another shift. Go, come on!" Calleigh smiled at her.

"Sure..." Then she remembered she had left it in the lab. That meant she had to go back again. But at least now she could sigh a relief. She didn't feel like carrying the burden of still holding the result and having the thought a suspect still running around free while she was going to sleep that night or something...

"Here is the result." She handed Calleigh the folder. "I scraped some epithelials of the gun that Ryan found... Got a match, Shawn Manning, age 48. Everything else is on that file." She closed the door of the lab for the third time that day, "I guess that's it. Thanks, Calleigh." She smiled and walked away.
 
Why had Valera given Calleigh the lab results when she was right there? It was her case, not Calleigh's. She was going ask Valera, but Calleigh rushed her out the doors. Calleigh was about to walk away with the results when Natalia stopped her, "Uh, Calleigh. Thats my case. I need the results. I don't see why Valera gave them to you, but whatever." She held out her hand waiting for the results.
 
YES I'm back and it wasn't that long at all, even though it seemed like forever to me. I missed everyone so much and I missed the RP. I'm glad to see it kept going and YAY we have an H, that's awesome. SO Ryan is back in action..

Ryan jumps back into his car after leaving his uncle's place and clearing up all his drama. He hated just leaving work like that, he has so many unsolved cases to tend to and one that he has to get the answers to quickly, but his uncle is the most important person in his life and he's all he has. Having to deal with his uncle at least gave him a chance to talk to someone about his problem with Calleigh and her boyfriend, after all Uncle Ron was a great csi too in his younger days. So he was able to get some much needed advice off him on how to handle both investigating the case and finding proof of bad cops in the system and how to handle telling Calleigh about it. He felt so much better now.
He turns his cell back on and sees his messages," oh wonderful a message from Cal.” He muttered to himself. He pushed his quick dial and her cell rings,” great now I get her voice mail.” He waits for the beep,” hey Cal this is Ryan…I um had something to take care of with my uncle, but I’m done and I’m on my way back to the lab right now. I need to talk to you, it’s important.” He hangs up the phone and heads back to work.
 
Calleigh looks at Natalia. "I'll give it to Ryan, I told Valera to. So you'll see them when he's seen them." Natalia opens her mouth but Calleigh silenced her. "Boa Vista. Go do something, I have a rank over you, you're still in training, Ryan will show you the results after I gave them to him."

And she walks away. Then she feels her phone vibrate and listens to the message. She dials his number and for a change DOES NOT get his voicemail.

"Hey Ryan, it's Calleigh. Glad to hear everything's okay. You wanted to talk to me?"
 
Ryan's driving down the street with all his problems thrashing around in his brain. He looks at his watch," it's so late and I still have so much to do. I bet nobody is even at the lab still." He taps the steering wheel with his fingers to the beat of the music trying to clear his mind but then his phone rings." Hey Cal, yeah I do. I'm on my way back to the lab. Can we go somewhere and talk? It's really important."
 
"Uh sure...is the cafe opposite the lab okay? Or do you want a more private place? We could just take an office in the lab. Just...let me know. But what's going on, what's so important?"

Her mind is thinking of a thousand things that can cause him wanting to talk to her, from the worst things till the little things.
 
" How about I meet you in the lab office, some privacy would be nice. I'll tell you everything once I get there."

He looks up at the road in front of him," I should be there in about 10 minutes. I'll see you then Calleigh, bye."

He hangs up the phone and his stomach flip flops from nerves. He's not even sure how to go about telling her that the man she is with could be, no is a bad person.
 
"Boa Vista. Go do something, I have a rank over you, you're still in training, Ryan will show you the results after I gave them to him."

Calleigh wouldn't even let her say something. Natalia walked a way in a fuss.

"Hey Ryan." He had just hung up on his cellphone and ran his fingers through his hair. When he did that, it ment something was wrong. "You alright?" He nodded at the ground and tried to say something, but couldn't. She could tell he was uncomfortable, so she thought she should go. "Well, I should go, but has Calleigh given you the epithelial results?"
 
As soon as Ryan gets back to the lab he's approached by Boa. He had hoped to slip in without being noticed by anyone. He had too much on his mind about Calleigh to even think about talking to someone else. Then she asks if he's alright, yeah how could he be alright with the problems he's facing.
He nods his head but doesn't say anything. He's trying hard to hide the fact something is seriously bothering him. Then she tells him Calleigh has their test results.

" Calleigh has our results to our case? Why does she have them?" He scratches his head and looks around," I haven't really had the chance to talk to her but she didn't mention to me she had them. I'm on my way now to talk to her, I'll get them from her."

He looks into her face and can see something is wrong with her, but he doesn't know what and he doesn't think he even wants to know. But he feels bad for leaving her hanging.

" Are you ok? You look.....upset or worried. Did I miss something?"
