"Yeah." Natalia let out a sigh as well. She knew he would much rather be with Calleigh, then with...her. "Im ready." He said he would drive so when they got to the hummer she climbed into the passengers seat. It was still akward. Natalia didnt mind though. She was still mad that he would have left her, but like she said they were going to work on the case so she had to be some-what mature. They arrived at the restaraunt without saying a word to eachother. Although Ryan glanced at her a few times in the hummer before turning his attening to the road again. Natalia didn't even know how to start a conversation. She decided to wait for him to talk.
 
The drive to the restaurant was horrible, he knew she was still pissed at him, he could feel the tension in the air. But he knew it would be worse if he was with Calleigh right now, for one when she’s mad she doesn’t sit quietly ignoring him, she would be telling him off. Second what he had to tell her was going to upset her even more. All day long he was trying to figure out a way to break it to her easily, after all he didn’t want to hurt her or see her get hurt.

They get inside the restaurant and get seated by a window,” great I love window seats, this will give us a distraction, and maybe something to talk about.” He thought in his head, still trying to find a way to say something without setting her off.

Right off she pulls out the files and hands them to him without saying a word. He takes them from her and starts flipping through them,” so have you ever eaten here before? I haven’t but I heard the food is great.” He asks without even looking up from the files.
 
Valera came back into the hallway with the result... "I scraped some epithe--" she was greeted with a deserted hallway, "--lials..." Where the hell is everyone??

She sighed in frustration, "Great." Guess the result would have to wait. Apparently CSIs have better things to do.

She stormed back into the lab to gather her things and turned off the lights again, before walking out towards the locker room.

He asked her if she had been there before. Now she could have had some fun, and told him the truth. Yes, she had been there before, and she doesnt like it. But the other restaurant she went to she hid the chicken and she was prettt sure Ryan saw that. Besides she isn't that mean, is she? "No, I haven't. I heard it was good too." She replied while staring out the window. There was another silence, and now that she talked it seemed even more akward.. "So, is everything okay with you and Calleigh?" Why did she ask that? Why the hell did she ask that? She didn't want to hear about them, together, as a couple. I mean, they arent together but they might as well be. It was the first question that came to her mind so she decided to blurt it out.
 
He sat waiting for her to answer while trying to come up with something else to say afterwards to keep her from remembering what an ass he is.

Then she asks about him and Calleigh, just wonderful.” Me and Calleigh, yeah everything is ok with us, I mean well it was. I’m sure she’s pretty pissed at me now too.” He glances at her to see her reaction.

He grabs the files with pictures they had taken at the scene,” we’ve been busy with our cases and we haven’t really spoken in the last few days, but everything is ok.”

His mind was stuck on her and how to handle telling her about Josh. Ever since he had found out he has wanted to talk to someone about it, get their advice on how to go about telling her. He knew he wasn’t exactly the best person when it came to breaking news to people.

He puts the pictures down,” can I ask you a question about something, just like a hypothetical thing, I have a…” He thinks twice about telling her, remembering she was a mole and he’s not sure he can trust her.” Never mind, I don’t want to bother you with my problems.” He grabs a menu,” are you going to get chicken again so you can hide it?” He looks up from the menu with an ornery grin.

OH crap...Ryan forgot about Valera and left her hanging. He's going to have every chic he works with hating him. poor guy, I'm killing him. Sorry Valera.

Valera wasn't really in a great mood, as she was walking down the hallway. Earlier that day, she got a problem with one of the night shift CSI, then she needed a certain equiptment in the lab and it was broken so she couldn't process. Now when she was ready to go home, her co-worker asked for a result, but didn't even care to wait for it.
She sighed, maybe a warm long bath would be nice...

Making her way to (finally!) the locker room to gather her stuff, she spotted Calleigh alone in one corner, "Hey, Calleigh..." Calleigh turned and smiled at her.

"Do you know where Ryan is?" Valera asked casually, as she was opening her locker. She wondered if Ryan still needed the result before she left.
Calleigh didn't answer right away. Valera turned to look and was surprised to see the smiling face had faded and turned into one serious look.

"Cal?" She was surprised to see Calleigh avoiding her gaze. Uh-oh... what's wrong now?

Valera closed her locker and looked at her worriedly, "Are you okay?"
 
"Yep, I'm fine Val. Ryan is eating something with Natalia, going over their case. Hey, you're off? Good for you." Then she thought of something. "Max, I introduced you to Josh a while ago didn't I? What do you think of him?" It was a long shot, but still a chance...
 
Valera was surprised to hear Ryan was eating with Natalia. She still didn't like that woman...

Valera should know that Calleigh wasn't the type of person who would speak what's in her mind. She glanced at Calleigh, wondering what was beneath the cool surface. There was a hint of something in her voice when she said Natalia's name.

"Yes, I'm off..." Valera was changing her shoes, "And in need of a warm long bath..." She smiled. Feeling the cold concrete on her feet for a while, after a long day, they felt stiff. She couldn't wait to soak them in warm water.

Suddenly Calleigh asked about what she thought about Josh. Just like that, out of no where. Valera looked up to her, trying to read from her expression. What was she supposed to say? To be honest, personally she didn't like Josh, but she didn't think she should tell her that, right? And that wasn't even fair, she didn't know him enough to judge him.

Why would Calleigh be asking her that?

"I think... he's pretty tall for a guy." She said jokingly with a grin. Humor, a nice way to avoid the question. Calleigh was smiling but giving her the 'seriously?' look.

"It seems to me that you're happy with him." Valera finally said. Are you? Trying to read if her sentence had hit the intended spot. "And if you're happy, that's what matters, Cal..." She waited for her reaction. Don't you realize? It meant one thing, Calleigh wouldn't be asking the question if she was sure. What was she wasn't sure about Josh?

"Why are you asking?"
 
Why am I asking? Yes, why am I asking? God this is complicated.

"I don't know Max. Just wondering I guess. Or maybe...could I trust you with something? Something kind of confidential? Something that shouldn't leave this room?"

Then she realized Valera was off.

"Oh, no, it's past your shift, you need a hot bath. Go home, it wasn't important anyway."
 
Natalia didn't know what to think. Ryan said everything with him and Calleigh was going fine. They haven't seen eachother, but they were okay. He is always happy around her, well, before things got complicated with Josh. She always had that thought in the back of her mind everytime she was with him. He would be happier with Calleigh. But now that things arent looking too good, maybe he would be happier without her?

When Ryan asked her that she was starring at her menu. The tone in his voice, from the very first word he said, made her realise he was saying something important. But then he stopped, and totally changed the subject. She knew exactly why. He still couldnt trust her. "No, Im not ordering the chicken." She laughed nervously. "Im sorry about that, I just, well you said it was good so I thought you wanted me to get it. Anyways what do you need to know? Come on you can tell me."
 
He looks down at his menu nervously," it's nothing, I just was thinking about something, but it's really nothing." It's killing him not being able to tell someone, he hates having this stuck only on him, everything being up to him. The thought that he had to tell Calleigh about her boy friend really bothered him, but he knew of all people it was probably best to be coming from him, plus he would be there for her.

He puts down his menu and searches through the files," shit I forget to get the results from Valera, I completely left without getting them from her. Now she's going to be mad at me too." He sits back into his chair," we really needed those results too. Without them we can't compare the cases and we need to know if the DNA matched any suspects from before." He looks up at her but his mind goes off into it's own world thinking about Calleigh, of course.
They go over everything not really getting anything done. Once their food comes they eat quietly, discussing the case and that's it. Ryan looks over at her seeing she's finished and just waiting for her," ready to get back to the lab?"
 
He had said that Valera would be mad at him too. Natalia forgave him, so that only leaves Calleigh. She figured he lied, but she wasn't going to bring her up again. "Yeah, lets go." Her cellphone rang, and she had to take it. "Oh, Ryan do you mind if I take this?" He shrugged so she flipped open her phone. "Hey Heidi." "He's with you?" The voice spoke into the phone. "Yup!" She tried to seem as if she was talking to one of her friends, but she wasn't sure if it was working. She was nervous as hell. "Call me back later. I need the details on the case, Natalia." The voice was serious and she knew she had been slacking. She didn't want to work for them anymore. "Of course I will! I gotta go, see ya hun." She almost flinched when she said that, but she felt she had to make up for her shaking hand. "Sorry. Lets go." She smiled.
 
"...could I trust you with something? Something kind of confidential? Something that shouldn't leave this room?"

Valera looked at Calleigh. "Yes of course, Cal... You could tell me."

It had sparked her curiosity. And a bit concern too... What was she going to tell her? Why is it confidential? Could it be something bad?

She waited for Calleigh to say something... but instead, Calleigh just told her that it wasn't important and that she should go home.

"No, really, it's okay. That only means that I'm free now, if you need to talk." She smiled reassuringly. "Really, the warm bath could wait."
 
Hey everyone I'm in the process of moving and I lost my ISP, it's not avaible in my new area, so I will not be online for a few days. I'm hoping to hook up with AOL, *cringes at the thought of dial up* for now. My cable company said cable internet should be up for me in 2 weeks. Either way I'm hoping to be back online sometime next week. Right now I'm at my mom's. We are moving tomorrow. So Ryan and I will be mia for a few days but I will be back, promise. So this will be my last Ryan post for a few days.


Ryan acted like he wasn't paying attention to Boa's phone conversation but he couldn't help it when he noticed the nervous tone in her voice. She hung up and gave him a smile, a very fake looking smile." Sure let's get out of here."

He gathered up all the files from the table," now I have to hunt Valera down and try to make up with her." He thught in his head.

The drive back was quiet like always. She seemed nervous and he had too much stuff already on his mind to even try to figure out what was wrong with her. Last thing he needs is to get involved in another womans problems.

Just as they pull into the parking lot his cell rings. He grabs it," Wolfe." His tone changes to a worried sound," ok, ok don't worry I'll be right there Uncle Ron, don't worry and don't go anywhere. I'll be right there." He stops the car and looks over at Boa," I have to go, I um I have something to take care of. I'll be back later. Tell H I had to go take care of my uncle and I'll call him later." She gets out of the car and he takes off quickly.

Hehehe. Now everyone can wonder about this.
 
Well, since Sue is gone for a short while, I have an announcement to make: I found myself a Horatio. Snickergeek is reading through the RP and is gonna fill in the role of H as soon as she's catched up. So if you wanna talk to Horatio, you now can.

"No Val, no, I don't wanna keep you here, go. I'm not sure what I wanted to say anyway. Go home, take your bath, I'll go..."

She looked through the window and saw Ryan and Natalia sitting in his car. He answers his phone and his face grows serious. He says something to Natalia and she gets out. Then Ryan speeds out like he's being chased. She cringes.
