Carmine Giovinazzo

U have taken the words out of my mouth...
Carmine has to be lauded for pulling off Danny so convincingly...
And for inspiring others..

Carmine really has Danny down so well. I don't think it's by chance that Danny is the most popular character on the show. There's something about Danny that makes the viewer really care about him.

You also have to credit the writers for giving Danny so much of trouble that we go to the extent of caring for him...

Yeah, definatly. GOD what I would do to get him in a room alone for an interview. I want to know if he visits the site. He is such an awesome person, and he plays an awesome character, that makes him awesome all around! lol. I always wanted to go on CSI NY and play his long lost daughter for highschool or something.

I think the writers definitely created a great character in Danny, and his development certainly seems to be a team effort (between the writers and Carmine). It seems to me that the writers genuinely enjoy writing for him, and putting the character in interesting situations. Even episodes that don't focus on him specifically, like "Risk" and "The Closer," have had fun extra Danny moments in them. I think a lot of things have come together to make him the show's most popular character, but they've really come together well.

lol I just think it would be fun to play his 'long lost' daughter. He could have made a really stupid decision in the past....and then.....poof! I arrive lol. I would love to see his character react to that. And then the daughters reaction to her fathers reaction....if you get what I mean lol.

Top...
There's a secret recepie for this...
What the recepie is,i don't want to know...
So long as the output is fantabulous, why should i bother myself with the recepie?
I'm sure you'd agree with me...When you've got a great output like the character Danny...
Haha...

ilovegrissom..
Haha...
Fantasies leave something to be desired eh....
It sure would be nice to delve intop that as a storyline...Especially for the ladies...
But given your age,and given Danny's age, you'd be a tad too old to be his daughter from high school..
Maybe a 10 year old daughter would be more believable...
Haha..Thats my humble opinion anyways...
Feel free to contradict me... :D

Oh yes, I just like watching Danny--I don't need to know the formula! But I did find it interesting that Carmine ad libs lines and slips things into his performance that feel natural for his character. That's very cool and makes Danny seem more real, as opposed to just a character on the screen going through the motions to solve the case. There's a depth to Danny that few other characters share in this genre (crime dramas).

Thoght you'd say that!!Haha...

Its that depth of reality and a wholesome natural feeling that Danny has that makes him very pleasing...
In my opinion,Danny has got to be THE most real character on tv today, regardless of the genre...
I don't think i've cared this much for an on-screen persona like i have for Danny!!

Yeah, actually, Danny is definitely in the running for if not the most real character on TV. And it's really the little things that make him that way--the fact that he complained about the smell of fish in "Dancing with the Fishes" or got challenged to eat a bug and did it in "Fare Game." The little stuff like that adds subtle layers to his character.

I'm sure there will be more angst for Danny in the future, so anything's possible. I want to see his father! There's some speculation that Papa Messer was in the Mafia since the Tanglewood boys tend to be second generation Mafia, and Louie was one.

I love how he is more 'Danny' than he is Carmine, lol. He's just so awesome and I just love watching how he acts and talks. It would be awesome if in some fanfic 'Danny' meets Carmine. LOL. That would be worth reading.
