I'm not really all that worried yet. I mean, if they had wanted to end Cake for good, wouldn't they have just had someone say something about them breaking up or that Jake died or whatever? To me, actually bringing him back sounds like good news for the couple. I hope anyway. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Yeah your reasoning is perfect & I totally agree with you. I'm the first one to think about it in the same way but still I'm a little bit worried. Birnging him back may mean a lot of good chances for CaKe to go on but we know TPTB doesn't go easy with Jake's character (they never did it so I can't imagine them not going on in this way) and their troubles.
I really don't know what to think about it, hopefully you're right

Im having several different thoughts about his return. On one hand I do think it could be a good sign that he's returning at the beginning of the season opposed to the finale.
I also think it's possible he could die & leave Calleigh in shambles though too. (I know you hate that, FLO):lol: but it's a Miami thing, and it would give Eric the chance to see how Calleigh really feels without her having to say it herself.
Like GNRfan, Im not real worried yet. There's alot that stands in the way of CaKE & E/C, so who knows. One thing is for sure, the question of the "triangle" has never been a matter of will she choose Jake or Eric, it's been a question of "will she choose Jake or her career ...and a question of if she even really has stronger feelings for Eric.
Having said that, I cannot honestly say that Calleigh looks like she is falling in love with Eric, it's not showing. I do think she feels something completely different for Jake...whether he winds up a drunk or whatever...she loves him, she's not going to jump to another that quickly, & if they already broke up after 'SYG' then there's even more reason to believe she doesn't feel that way about Eric.
Besides hasn't anyone heard the phrase... you love by chance, NOT BY CHOICE??!!!?!?!!
Honestly, I don't think it will end with a happy-ever-after for EITHER "couple". Miami doesn't believe in it, so I don't know where they'll take Cake, and I don't see her gaga happy with Eric, either, it's more of a friendship.
She'll probably have a breakdown & bury herself in the job... just like Calleigh always does.

Maybe he's coming back to reveal that he and Calleigh secretly got married a while back. I would so love to see them get married. There could be drama if she got pregnant and was torn about when she should take off for maternity leave. :lol: But, I don't want Jake to die. There's been too much death on CSI Miami in the last several years. If anyone's ex or current flame has to die, please let it be Julia. :lol:

Okay, so... if Calleigh and Jake ever had a kid what would they name it do you think? Girls- I could see Jaycie maybe or Jade (the latter using Jae from Jake's name and the D from Calleigh's last name). Boys- Maybe Caleb/Calleb (most of the letters being from Calleigh's name and the b from Jake's last name).

Alexander Berkley, Thomas Berkley or Duncan Berkley. Hmm... those all sound good... and I like the Alex one cause Calleigh and Alexx were so close, so it makes sense that she'd name a kid after her.
