"Built To Kill Part 1" Discussion **SPOILERS**

After they finished their dance, Nick told Catherine that he saw someone he knew and she said “I bet you do - go for it” so he knew the girl he spotted while dancing – also N & C apparently asked another co-worker to come with them, Grissom maybe? When Nick said before they started dancing “Do you think (Gris? Brass?) will show?” and Catherine said “Why not? He likes to dance.”) The single people I used to work with would go out dancing once in a while, no ulterior motive other than to have fun, so IMO it’s not that odd. I first thought they were going to make a Nick/Cath crazy night of too much drinking that would lead to bed, but the date rape thing surprised me. I don’t think she knows the rapist because she saw him and waved him off like “thanks but no thanks.” She should not have had the drink if she didn’t want to accept his invitation though. I don't think we really know how she left and what Nick saw - I'm sure next week we will. The Brass part was both sad & funny. He appreciated Warrick coming by his office, and seemed glad to be able to explain to a friend why he didn’t want the award. I can't wait to see next week - this one should have been two hours on the same night! Marg made me cry, and that was a first. It’s usually George that does it for me!

I am very concerned for Catherine after seeing next week's preview. Cat's daughter gets kidnapped? Why so hard on us Cat fans so soon after a little smile with Nick. I am sure that whomever drug/rapped Cat was a former convicted prep. I hope she is going to written as getting revenge I love Cat.

It was fantastic to see a loving side of Grissom when he said, "I got you a Veggie Burger" , and "Soy Sorry". I love it.

The writers now understand what we want the most, interaction with the characters seeing their human side. Yes solving crimes with technology and education is great. But after awhile we all fall in love with the characters , not the plot.

10/10

After the showed air, they went to commerical and said, "Next week on CSI". Is that called a preview? I am sorry if it is not. But you clearly see Cat on the phone about her daughter then the screen goes black, "Something will change forever for a CSI", or something close to that. I am writing it from memory.

O. Well on youtube the vid for CSI rocks.. with the dock they have all the team like dancing.. so this really confuses me. If she was raped in a car accident sam killed and daughter kidnapped why whould she be dancing?

Yes you are right, in the preview there was a car accident and then Cath said "they've kidnapped my (child/daughter/Lindsey)" so how that ties in to her date rape we shall see - maybe it was to keep her away from home all night so Lindsey could be kidnapped? - perhaps they are after a big ransom from Braun.

Maybe.. just maybe my theory.. Maybe the guy who slipped her the drug leaves and then kidnapps lindsay and hits catherines car? Maybe he is the one that is targeting the Willows girls.

i loved it! i just saw it now.
poor cath. how did the guy get the thing into her drink? he offered to buy her the second drink. and werent the lindsey and sam things supposed to happen in this ep?
the suicide case was pretty usual, but the imploding rampart was great. superdave...cutie. future inlawas. lol.
the circ was great too.
and my david...im upset the he didnt make the credits, but the 2 scnens that he had were GREAT. specially the seond one. with the chicken...wow. that proves a few of my opinions about him :p
nick and cath dancing was cute. maybe nick and that girl didnt leave together. dont know.
the brass scenes were touching.

where do you see next weeks preview?
You'll find it on on the official site of CSI ;)

AH I love you. =] I guess I turned the TV off too early last night=[

OMIGOD is that lindsay that Warrick and Catherine are looking down at? OMIGOD!
I love you too :D I watched the promo but it was sooo confusing. A bit John Mayer, then Griss, Sara, ahhhhhhhhh. *watches it again and slaps herself*

Last night's episode was rather powerful. The exchange with Warrick and Brass, the first two cases turning out NOT to be murders but a suicide and an accident, what happened to Catherine and how she processed herself afterwards using what was available in that motel room, and the setup for the next case that Grissom and Sara are working. I couldn't help but think on that one "There are some folks out there who REALLY want that to actually happen to Danny Bonaduce!"

What happened to Catherine was deeply troubling--because I've known women who had that happen to them. But another attribute that troubled me was that Nick took her there with him (at least, that's the impression I got.) And I know Cat encouraged him to go dance with the young blonde woman. However, if I were in Nick's place, I would have made sure Catherine was okay--I would have made sure she got home okay. I wouldn't have just let her go like it *seemed* he did. Granted, we didn't see everything that happened after she was roofied--and what we did see was blurred until she woke up the next day. However, it seems out of character for Nick to not make sure Catherine got home okay. He's a Texas man and he's chivalrous. Does anyone else see what I mean?

Totally agree - that's why we won't really know how she got from being dizzy at the bar to waking up in bed until next week. Maybe somehow Nick thought she was ok. I can't see him just dumping her at the bar either! He is going to be upset and angry with himself anyway after all this comes to light, that's for sure.

^ Toe Tags was the first episode they filmed, but no, it wasn't the season premiere. It will be aired after next week's Built to Kill, Part 2. :)
Thank you EricaSJ! :) It now makes much more sense to me. *huggles*
