"Built To Kill Part 1" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Hiii. My best friend is over, so we shall both use my account to post... (don't kill me, moderators, it's not against the rules.)
Not totally no but its highly unadvisable, see the Board Rules: Account Sharing lets just say as long as it isn't a habit I will let it go this time. Thanks. :)

Don't get me wrong, I think it's nice that they were able to go out and have a good time for a change, I just thought it was kind of unusual for their characters. Especially seeing Nick leave with that woman. That totally shocked me  And yeah, where was Greggo? He was in it for all of what, 3 minutes? Oh well, I totally forgot after that ending. haha

wow...what can i say about the episode? the beginning sequence with the cirque de soleil was pretty amazing...i like how they didn't hype the GSR too much...the dead guy on the table and the model is kinda unique but freaky...and the ending with catherine...man, i gotta tip off my hat to her to be doing her own rape kit, lots of people in her shoes would've been a basket case...something about the way nick leaving catherine at the club kinda bug me, it's like foreshadowing something...cant wait for next week, it's going to be a long week

I think this premiere was more than average. It was the kind of stuff CSI does better than everybody else.

Slow start, a bit boring it's true but aren't you glad you get the salad before the chocolate cake ?

The main course seems ordinary, the actors go through the motions, is Grey's anatomy going to kick CSI a$$ ? NO WAY !

And I thought TPTB were pairing Cath and Nick to follow the usual TV formula... nope. The last part proved me wrong. Boy, am I glad CSI is back in true form :D

I'm watching the episode again right now b/c I was busy cooking dinner when it first aired. Some key points I remembered-
Warrick- "At least we know one person who shot the dead guy"
Poor David. It just wasn't his night!

Nick dancing with Cath- he's a hott man that one!
3.gif

Sara: Thanks
Warrick: What about me?
Grissom: I didn't know you were here. Soy sorry.
Warrick: Where's the love?!
Sara: *beams*
That was a cute scene!

Re: people discussing the guy who raped Catherine coming back- I thought about that too, but you never know, she could have but the lock on so he couldn't enter (we have one like that on the inside of our door). She was coherent enough to process herself, so I'm sure she thought about that.
I felt so bad for Catherine in that last scene! :( Great job by Marg!

David really didn't have a good night, poor guy.
I thought Nick leaving Catherine there was a little odd for him, and that woman, she moved just a little fast, I mean, Catherine was barely out of sight and she was all over him (noth that I blame her :).) But Catherine, that scene the next morning, felt so bad for her.

And GREG, for that whole one scene he was in, of course he was great and adorable and I like the hair!!! Even the longer sideburns. Hopefully he's in the second part of he episode more, from that preview pic, I'd say he is.

And I do love his new little scene for the opening credits!

oh what did nick do to his hair ....Cries...
I was sort of hoping for them to contuinue or show what happened with the season ender with Grissom and Sara.. -anybody else wondering what happened?-

Poor Catherine. :( I really felt for her, But at least she knew what to do and kept a cool head.

It was really good. Can't wait till next week.

meh, it was just ok...the cases were nothing special. The ending was pretty good though. And the Brass parts were excellent, I am surprised they actually continued a storyline like that.

I didn't like how Grissom was sort of in the background in the episode, just like in the second half of season 6, it is so stupid that he is always absent, yet they haven't made a storyline that would explain this. He is the supervisor, it doesn't make sense that he would be missing like that. I find the show becomes disorganized, like there isn't any leader even in the show. And the scenes he was in the show, he was googling up Sara...ulg. Puke, that was the most forced affection I have ever seen.

Plus last season, Grissom was either ignoring Sara, taking shots at her, or running away from her. And now suddenly they are acting like they are in love. I always saw Grissom and Sara in more of a 'father daughter' relationship, by the way they act around each other, so this is just nasty.

Also, the science is getting less and less, as Grissom was the only character that actually resembles an actual scienctist. This is what makes vegas unique. Without the strong Grissom presence, the science is lacking, and it is becoming like any other cop show now. It just seems like Grissom is fading away. He is Sara's whipping boy now.

I like the other cast members, but the csi shows have the distinct lead male roles, with the lead females, then the supporting cast. And without Grissom being the leader, there is this gaping whole for leadership.

I lOVED The Cirque du Soliel part, that was fabulous!
The lighting, etc...
but they seemed to have 'hurried' the case, no depth was put into it at all...

The couple at Sam's casino also hurried a bit

Cath and Nicky dancing, kinda cute ( love John Mayer ;) )
and earlier when he asked her if she still liked to dance and she said Yes, I do.. that made me go ..HHHMMMM???
BUT CATHERINE... WOW!!!!

We'll see what happens NEXT WEEK ON CSI

A friend of mine living in the eastcoast told me what happened before I watched the episode... and I swear, I was crying for like an hour before it actually came on. But I was prepared, so I didn't actually cry at the ending scene with Cath, but...! *sniffle* If Sarah Goldfinger knows what's good for her little demented writing ass, she'll let them kill the bastard(s) that did that to Cath!!!

*cough* I did appreciate the CatNip, GSR and Swarrick moments :D

WELL-WELL-WELL- fantastic premier ;) here we go again- the beginnng opening is different- was a bit stunned to see Louise Lombard part of the team-WHY?- moving on, the Cirque Du Soleil was excatly like it is- mesmorzing-and when they were in the theater, I got De ja Vu because I've been there- so it gave me chills to see Grissom & Cath standing there-

San Braun-again he always seems to be around when a murder happens :(

Good to see Brass back up to his old self ;)with a shorter haircut- what's up with all the hair cutting and shaving??

Nick's hair WHY-he's so handsome- George - grow it back-PLEASE

Sara's hair is also now parted on the side- (I notice these little things)

Warrrick looking as sexy as usual :phe never changes- which is a good thing

And Doc, as great as always- knowing that was Tequila-and is hair is also shorter- what's up with thie hirsute issues here?

And adorable Greggie- where was he? :(

The "vegie burger" scene-with Gris & Sara- how sweet and caring- "feel the love" ;)AHHH GOOD BOY

Hodges as annoying as always

The Warrick and Brass scene with the plaque- sweet- and Brass gettting a tatoo-WHAT

Nick & Cath dancing -cute ;) and I like John Mayer- very smooth-when have we ever seen them, or any of them dancing-?

And Grissom, my fav. character- his hair is way to short & the NO beard- not sure yet- :( will wait on that one  and he seemed bored and just going through the motions- the spark of his character seems to be a bit off!!!!!!! :(

And Cath, lord what the hell happened to her-? weird and creepy- were Gris and Sofia in the same apt she was?- she very smart to get all the evidence-off herself--good acting-- but how the hell did she get there? and who was the dead guy? and who killed him??????? riveting, the last 10 minutes-- so I'll give it an A ;) CSI ROCKS AND ALWAYS WILL- ;)

ok dont get me wrong, i did love that episode (or should i say half an episode...im not sure) but it did get a tad bit boring there in the middle.
i loved the cirque (i'm all for canadian talent), and i loved the last 15 minutes.
i felt totally bad for super dave. and dont even get me started on how bad i feel for catherine. i mean it brought tears to my eyes. i really dont like the fact that nick left without checking on her, i mean he just doesnt seem like the kind of guy to do that. but knowing nick he'll put all the blame for this on himself.
i didnt like the lack of greg time either, but hopefully that will reverse itself for the next episode. i do like his new look though.
the 'mini crime scene' house was pretty freaky and grissoms fasination with it was understandable, mean its not every day you find a exact replica of your crime scene premade. i have to say that i am not in anyway a GSR fan, but i did like that little bit of humor with the veggie burger. there i said it...lol. i cant wait for the next episode on thursday!

Wow, this episode was great!! It was definitely filled with continuous twists and action! I loved the GSR scene - with their secret looks! ;)
It's kind of sad that Brass doesn't feel he deserved that medal of honor, but him getting the tattoo must have been gratifying.
I was completely shocked for the last 10 minutes.. seeing Catherine - it was really sad! And yet, it only looks like more bad events are headed her way. I can't wait for next week's episode!
SEASON 7 ROCKS! :D
