Re: Bring It On Home To Me
Nick just nodded, softly nibbling on her bottom lip as he ran his hands through her hair. Just then a gunshot rang through the air and Nick quickly jumped, shielding Catherine with her own body. "Stay down, Cath," he told her. "That gunshot was close, and I don't want you to get hurt," he said, slowly poking his head up to look around.
Damn tinted windows... he then thought, trying to look around to see what was going on but unable to do so. Slowly reaching over to the glove compartment, Nick threw it open and felt around for his gun.
"Nobody move!" the shooter said from outside, holding his gun in front of him as he walked down the street. "I swear, any of you shit-holes moves a muscle and I'll blow your brains out," he muttered, grinning as everyone froze and stayed where they were. "Excellent," he smiled, spotting an SUV parked on the side of the road.
"Shit!" Nick cursed, seeing the shooter particularly focused on their car. "Cath, I've gotta move you to the back seat," he told her, gently scooping her up in his arms and placing her in the back seat. Turning himself around, Nick cocked his gun. "Stay there, Cath..." he told her, watching as the shooter walked closer and closer. "Just stay there..."
