Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

Overall I thought the eppie was okay, but like some of you, I felt like it fell short of my expectations. The writing did feel forced, and the breakup of Hodgela was Blink! And You Missed It, which was pretty dumb, IMO. I thought it was pretty good how they made Booth to be a Fish Out of Water in England, because I think he really can be a real know-it-all lunkhead at times, which annoys me to no end, but they overdid it, and made it feel unbelievable. I definitely liked Sweets in it though, he tried so hard to give everyone what he thought was sound advice, but it ended up backfiring on him every time! Poor boy, he's still learning... And it was definitely weird seeing Torchwood's "Suzie" as Pritchard!

Next week's ep looks like it's going to be good!

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

^^^ I totally agree with you about the Booth "lunkhead" moments being way over the top. I was trying to think of a way to articulate it, but you've done it perfectly. Normally Booth is a little more subtle and amusing in his tomfoolery!

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

I so totally saw the whole Cam sleeping with Grayson thing coming a mile away. They all thought he was attractive, I didn't agree. I mean, he wasn't ugly by any means, but a god? Not even! I guess he was buff and all of that, but still...

I thought it was funny when Angela kissed him and then said "that's the last sugar you're getting from me. I want my divorce!"

I liked when Grayson said "Okay, the universe speaks. I get it." I was like "Finally!"

And did anyone notice they cut out the "spanking" scene from the promo? I was disappointed in that. I thought that was funny.

I kept thinking it would be funny if Booth had kept aggrivating that guard and the guard had kicked him or something like that scene in Shanghai Knights. Sadly, that did not happen on Bones.

I cracked up when Sweets wanted to touch the brain. He's such a kid. Too funny!

And Cam using Clark as a buffer with Angela was funny... well, his reaction. I liked when he said he wanted to work in a regular lab and things there were just too chaotic for him.

The breakup was the stupidest thing and the poorest writing ever IMO! Aside from the whole Zack being the apprentice of Gorgomon thing.

In the preview, who was in Brennan's apartment? It kind of looked like Russ, but I'm not sure.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

I'm upset about Angela/Hodgins breaking up, I don't understand why after all the effort to get the divorce Hodgins didn't even try to stop her. I'm not much a shipper person but I really like this two together, I hope they'll fix it.

All the London/Oxford part was just a repertory of all the topics about England...There were some funny scenes but I wish they have been a little bit more creative.

I already miss Zack, when any of the squints was having a scene with Clark it was so boring and I was thinking that if Zack was there instead, there would have been some hilarious scenes.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

Even though I didn't understand what all the fuss was about (regarding Grayson), I thought it was funny when Sweets walked in and upon first seeing Grayson said something like "Wow. I feel sorry for Hodgins." Or something to that effect.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

I thought it was funny when Angela kissed him and then said "that's the last sugar you're getting from me. I want my divorce!"

I wondered why Angela would do that? I mean if you're totally in love with someone (Hodgins) why would oyu jump another guy oyu're trying to divorce, and kiss him like that on the lips? I thought if they broke up over that, it would've been a little more believable.

I liked when Grayson said "Okay, the universe speaks. I get it." I was like "Finally!"

I liked that part too.

And did anyone notice they cut out the "spanking" scene from the promo? I was disappointed in that. I thought that was funny.

Yeah I was disappointed they cut it out too.

I cracked up when Sweets wanted to touch the brain. He's such a kid. Too funny!

Yup that was funny too.

 Yes Booth can be quite the "lunkhead", alpha-male at times. But the sweetest thing about Booth's character is that underneath all that, he's really a very sensitive, sweet guy.

Anyone know if Max Keenan is coming back? I really like the guy.

I really like Max, too! I'm definitely hoping they bring him back this season, he and Brennan have such wonderful chemistry. They really made a fine choice bringing Ryan O'Neal in for that role.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

*facepalm* Sorry but I have made my feelings known for Max and I hope to all that is good and true that they don't bring back Max! I think I don't mind if Russ comes back though...he was all right of a character before Max was brought in.

I am glad that Angela and Hodgins broke up and now they can learn to work out their differences. I DO want them together in the long run though.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

Alright I'm with y'all. For a season premiere, I was expecting a lot better. The writing wasn't great, and there weren't all whole lot of B/B moments. The case was confusing, and, I admit, I had trouble understanding the Brits when they were talking quickly.

That being said, I still enjoyed the episode. Jealous Booth is always cute. I wasn't thrilled by the Hodgela drama, but it wasn't terrible.

The award for best part of the episode goes to Sweets, though. I thoroughly enjoy his character--childishness and all. When he cracked up upon seeing Grayson I just keeled over laughing. And the brain thing was too funny. It's something I would have done ten years ago.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

Well, if he wanted to touch a brain, at least we know he isn't squeamish.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

Okay, Sweets has won me over. He was so funny and so much on the side of BB tonight. Good epi, better than last week, but I can only take so much, uh, manure before it gets a little creepy. Poor new girl; wants sooo much to impress Brennan, but just doesn't get it! But she ended up doing good work. Love Tempe's attempt at dating in a logical manner, but having it backfire on her. I know it's cold to discount the dead guy, but, overall, that was a really funny episode.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

Yes better episode than last week. And I liked Sweets too.

It was so funny to see Booth try to "discredit" the guys Brennan was dating. The best part had to be the last scene in Sweets' office. A surrogate relationship, I like how they put it. And I loved Booth's speech about convincing Brennan about the one person meant for her. I hope she got his hint.

What bothered me about the episode was how Hodgela acted like nothing ever happened. I thought there was supposed to be some awkwardness between the two of them? There was no mention of the break-up last week.

I recently read an interview with Michaela Conlin in which she hints things will work out for them later in the season. I'm rushed to do a paper right now, but I'll find it later, if no one else has posted it by then, and put a link in. Sorry, school is making me crazy right now, or I would have linked it earlier. Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

Yeah, this was a much better episode than last weeks. Felt more like the Bones I know and love. Not to mention, how often do you get to see a dude blown out of an exploding outhouse with his ass on fire?

I continue to find Sweets an amusing foil and just plain good comic relief. And boy, lots of B&B fodder in this episode, no? Man, that lingering look when Booth told her she'd find "the one" someday... Sigh...

I thought it was interesting that there was not even a hint of awkwardness between Angela and Hodgins. It's like they ignored everything that happened last week? I definitely didn't want to see them dwelling on it, but it seemed strange that there wasn't at least one awkward look between them... or maybe I missed it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I also like how Sweets totally fell for the crazy lab girl's sudden worshipfulness of him, and I was surprised he told her on the phone at the end, "I'm sorry you got fired." I guess they're just going to leave it as being understood that she was very brilliant, but wouldn't fit in with the group personality-wise, which is as important as any other qualification in group work scenarios. I did enjoy watching Brennan blow her off at every interaction though. Too Funny.

Re: Bones #2: The Jeffersonian Breakroom *spoilers*

I agree that this episode was a lot better than the first one.

I really liked the case. How do the writers come up with these kind of stories? Original and funny.

Brennan dating two guys at the same time... Too bad it didn't work out for her. I liked Booth's reaction to it. I'm wondering when they're are going to realize there is more between them then just being partners. I'm getting impatient here!

Sweets is just sweet! His reaction to the new girl was cute. The reactions of everyone else around them were even funnier.

I was glad Hodgela didn't get any attention in this episode. I agree it's a bit strange considering what happened in the premiere but I didn't mind at all. The time they didn't spent on them was spent on B&B. :D

Thank you for the link. Good to hear she's going to be more involved with the cases. I wonder what Hodgins is going to think of Angela's ex-girlfriend. :shifty:
