Yeah the look on Sweets' face as he watched Booth talk to Brennan and her agree with him about monogamy, I betcha' he knows they both have fallen for each other whether they know it or not. I bet B&B are like the best "experiment" he's ever had! Maybe that's why he wants to hang out with them so much.
Lol aside, I think you've hit the nail on the head! I just thought he liked hanging out with the popular kids, but, no, it's a case study for him! And his own probable lack of experience with successful relationships makes him even more inclined to watch BB, to learn as well as to "file away" the pure psychological insight he's receiving.
^But I also think another reasonis that Sweets wants to hang out with the popular crowd.
I thought it's supposed to be spelt Jared? Anyway that's not important. I read some spoiler that Brennan and Booth's brother, Jared will kiss, and Booth will find out and it'll mess things up for the B&B dynamic. Bummer, considering I really like the point that the B&B relationship is at now. Of course it could be a once off, meaning they could get the whole issue resolved in one episode, like they usually do for B&B. Like by the end of the episode it'll have them at some place talking and reaching some agreement about things and making up. Or it might take a few episodes like with Booth arresting Max.
Basically, a guy was shoved into a "poop pit" and it turns out he was Bill Rourke, a tv personality who catches cheaters. Meanwhile it turns out Brennan is dating two guys at the same time. One for sex and the other for...mental reasons (?) Booth of course doesn't approve and tries to tell her, but she gives a bunch of anthropological reasons for why our society is meant to be polygamous.
The new intern was annoying but Sweets loved it when he found she was a psychology minor in college. Of course...
Thanks, but no I don't need to hear any more. I actually went over a friends house and she had it TiVoed. So I watched it there. Sorry for not replying quicker. I had forgotten that I posted here.
Anyway, on to tonights episode. It was interesting, what with the dogfighting, and I absolutely loved seeing Cesar Millan. I just love that guy! He's adorable!
The actual case wasn't great, I thought, simply because there didn't seem to be that much to it. Also it was broken up by so many other character related plots that it became somewhat confusing. However, Sweets was adorable as usual, and I was glad to see that Hodgins and Angela are getting some plotline.
Of course the ending was standard BB cuteness. As is with my life, my TiVo cut off the very last moments of it, but I caught the beginning of the hug. So cute.
I can't wait until next week. I'm hoping for some more BB fluff!
I just wanna say, is it just me or does Brennan and Booth look better, notter with every season?:thumbsup:
Another great episode IMO. Left me feeling all nice and warm at the end. Don't get me wrong, it was sad about the dog fighting and that Ripley had to be put down, but the ending was pure BB goodness! :luvlove: Awesome hug at the end. Booth is always there for her and knows exactly how she feels.
I loved when Brennan had Ripley on her lap and she told Booth the dog reminded her of him, "Warm brown eyes, yet capable of great violence." So that's what she thinks of Booth.
And Parker! I love the kid, he's so cute. And he idolizes his father and he's such a great kid, great heart, just like Booth. A mini-Seelel Booth! And Booth was so funny, worried he had traumatized Parker for life with the finger. Like Brennan said, Booth makes a great father.
I think the fact that Brennan wants to adopt a dog is a big improvement in her character from season one, she's more open and willing to feel now, and I think it's cos of Booth. That's what I thought was so great about the episode. That Brennan wanted to adopt the dog, and be willing to be emotionally attached to it. I love how they wrote it this way. Not a great plot in terms of the crime they were solving but amazing B&B-wise.
Which makes me think
Brennan seems at the brink of being ready for some kind of emotional attachement, I mean it starts with a dog. But Who knows in future she might be thinking of kids. And she thinks Booth is a great father, you put that two together and..... while I'm getting ahead of myself here, but then there was the spoiler I read some where that Brennan will mention that if she were to have a child she'd want Booth to be the father.
And I'm glad they addressed issues of Hodgela and Zach.
Is next week the episode where Zach is back? I kinda missed him too. And I liked the intern-of-the-week. I forgot his name but he used to be on 'The Practice'.
i liked this episode, and i liked how even though the subject matter was similar it was still very different from the csi episode with dog fighting.
i liked what how the dogs brought out a more human side of bones, they had kind of been going a little far with her quirks recently. what i found was a really nice touch was the name on the collar was 'ripley brennan', not just ripley, but her last name too.
Any idea if next week is the Hallowen episode or the week after or is there any Halloween epy this season? I love to see Wonder Woman and Clark Kent again.
Man, I feel so out of touch- I didn't even know the Emmy's were on last night. Coincidentally, my roomie and I were watching last week's Bones online because we missed it last Wednesday.
I hate to say it, but David's wife looks a little... plastic. Like a Barbie Doll. Then again, it's Hollywood, right?
Bones won EW's Ewwy Award (for shows, stars who should have had Emmy noms but didn't get them) for Best Drama in a squeaker over Battlestar Galactica. Only the show was nominated, none of the stars. Here's the link for all the winners: http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20045108_20045120_20227779,00.html
Thanks for posting. To be honest Bones is an amazing show, but I don't think they'd win an Emmy. But it's ok Bones is still my fave show.
I was wondering in 'The Man In The Outhouse', Booth replied to Brennan that he "does alright" when she said she assumes Booth dates and has ways to satisfy his biological urges, what do you think Booth meant by that?
IMO Booth was lying. Like I said, we haven't seen him dating anyone since Cam, so I'm gonna assume he really doesn't date or have anyone to satisfy his urges but he just doesn't want Brennan to know. Cos he already in this surrogate relationship with her and it is keeping him from dating other women.
It's a pity that Bones isn't the type of show that they'd nominate for an Emmy. But maybe a SAG or People's Choice? CSI never really seemed to be the type of show to get an Emmy, but they won both SAG and People's Choice.
ETA: Baba O'Reilly - I agree with you about David's wife. Sorry, but she does look that way.
AHHHHHHH! Awesome! Though I can't see him and Em together. Maybe Zooey, but not Em. She looks older than him. But, I love him! I was so sad when Miami made his character Cooper such a jerk- what he did to Calleigh and all. He really looks like he could be David's bro too. Awesome! Great casting choice! The best. I couldn't think of anyone. I could think of plenty of older brothers, but none younger. This is just the best casting choice I've heard in a long long time. Woo-hoo! So excited now. Can you tell I'm excited?
I haven't watched last week's ep yet. And now that I know it involved dog fighting, I'm not sure I can. I saw a few minutes of CSI's "Lying Down With The Dogs" a week or so ago and it just made me cry, so I had to turn it off. I have three doggies myself. I just can't stand the idea of dog fighting. It's so cruel and its heartbreaking to see those poor animals in that kind of situation. But, knowing Parker's in the episode makes me wanna watch it. I'm torn.
What kind of dogs are in the episode (out of curisoity)? And what kind is the one who gets put down? Was it put down because it was vicious or because it got hurt too badly in a fight?
