My favourite is Paul Millander. Even though theres some stupid mistakes in his episodes. But he's definitly the best villain. I love how Matt O'Toole portray him. Especially the interview scene in "Identity crisis".

Favorite villains? okay, let's see...

Shane Casey and Suspect X in NY for their cleverness (not so sure i'd actually like clever to be associate w/ crime, but well...). Abraham Klein for the evilness.

Natalie Davis of LV for obvious reason: innocent looking girl, who has photographic memory and the ability to create a precise miniatures, who triggered by bleach of all things.

I don't know why, but Nigel Crane from the Vegas episode Stalker is one of the villains that stands out the most to me, but I have a different reason. There's a guy that comes into the place I work that looks just like him, he creeps me out

I'm starting to really like Ron Saris as a bad guy in Miami. Kim Coates is doing a fantastic job of portraying him. Seems he went from creepy to REALLY creepy. Not only that, you just can't be sure what he's up to. I'm wondering whether he's a double agent, whether he's about to give the whole MDPD over to the Russian Mob or whether he may actually be straightening himself out, or what.

I haven't always agreed with Miami's story arcs, but if they do the Ron Saris thing right, I think they'll have a winner here.

I agree with Alamance. I'm really starting to like Ron Saris too. Before him my favorite was Clavo Cruz. I am too creeped out by Stewart Otis to even talk about him.

I love the way Ron calls Horatio "Red" and Stetler "Stets". That just makes me laugh. He's so creepy but yet so almost likable that I enjoy the episodes he's in. Was it Ambush or All-In (season 6) when he hits his head on the table and says something like "That bruise should arrive about the same time as the state attorney."

Oh yeah, we were watching Bad Boys last night and my husband was like, "You're gonna recognize someone in just a second." I heard Kim Coates voice and I was like "OMG it's Ron Saris!" LOL

On vegas,I will agree that paul Milander was the best.Great rival for someone so smart like Grissom.Natalie Davis was interesting but the end didn't match my expectations.

Clavo Cruz is the best from Miami.Wish he could come back.

I can't recall anybody that interesting from NY becouse I missed season 2 and 3.

I have to say Ron Saris is a great villain on Miami. I really love how Kim Coates plays the creepiness of him.

I think Drew was a pretty good villain as well.

i think the villain (although not sure you can call her that) that stands out for me over all three is the miniatures killer - that was a great story and she was so creepy!

From CSI: Crime Scene Investigation it would have to be "The Miniature Killer" Natalie Davis because she was so psychotic. In CSI Miami, it would be Ron Saris and Clavo Cruz. Finally in NY, it would be Clay Dobson...he cut the eyelids off his victims (that's just sick)!

yeah clay dobson was awful, the kind of guy you were willing mac to just punch out. but were then very glad he didn't because of what happened next.

actually another horrible villain for me in ny was more a collective - the longshoremen in hush from s1. the main boss guy was awful but his crew weren't exactly helpful. being a good little british socialist unionist i thought that was a great episode because as far as i'm concerned that goes on everywhere and it was nice to see it properly done. maybe sheldon should buy a bigger spatula ;)

Personally, I really didn't like the many villains they created who seemed to just be evil for evil's sake or evil because they were crazy. To me, those villains are too easy and far too simple and one-dimensional. Complex characters, including villains, are more interesting. Too many of CSI's big killers (i.e. the Miniature Killer, DJK) seem more like TPTB trying to show how evil and/or creepy they can make a character, solely for the shock and/or drama factor, rather than showing how complex or human they can make a villain. I would have to say that my favorite villains are the ones from ordinary CSI episodes that only appear once, but that kill for realistic reasons. That's one of the things I really like about CSI -- that, most of the time, you can't tell who the killer is from the beginning because he or she still seems like a normal person with believable motives and emotions. CSI's most hyped villains often seem the least human, which is what makes them the least appealing to me. The killer in 'Young Man With a Horn' was a good example, IMO, of a strong and intriguing killer.

happyharper, I completely agree with you. 'Evil for the sake of evil' is boring. Give me a semi-evil character with depth over one-dimensional pure evil any day.

i meant to add i really liked the 333 killer, just because it was more about how one event can totally take over someone's entire life. also i liked how he was so scheming and charming and wormed his way into people, it showed a lot of patience which just showed again how much this one thing many years ago had totally taken him over. i quite like that idea, of someone being totally consumed by something.

generally i agree with you - it's really interesting when people just snap, especially when it's over something that appears pretty minor, as seems to be the case pretty often in all the CSIs.

but then again, i do like a good deranged nutter
