here are some funny comments about quebec as a nation within canada. rick mercer is the best!

Re: Canadian Thread #4

 I loved the last paragraph and two lines.

And he's right. We're a big family (Canada) so Quebec shouldn't be seen as the favorite sibling. And I loved:

Blog
Take the Cree for example. In Quebec. If the Quebecois are a nation clearly the Cree are a nation. Well actually they will be a nation inside a nation inside a nation.

Hilarious. Thanks for posting the link allmaple. :) (And I hope you get more snow. :p)

Right now in Alberta, they're having the campaign to find our new Premier, and there's three candidates. I believe Morton was the one who said "Edmonton is the capital of Northern Alberta" ...Wtf? Edmonton is the capital of ALL of Alberta.

Let the Calgary/Edmonton feud continue.

Re: Canadian Thread #4

Thanks for sharing that, allmaple! I love Rick Mercer.

BlogBecause Canada, as screwed up and dysfunctional as we are, is still a family. And anyone who grew up in a large family knows that sure, some kids might get away with more than others, some kids might even get special treatment, but there’s not a hope in hell that mom is ever going to stand up and recognize one child as the favorite.
 He makes a good point. I loved this part. Well, I loved the whole thing.

Maybe we could make our new thread title something about being a screwed up dysfunctional family...

Re: Canadian Thread #4

^ XDDDD
I LOVE YOU DR. SHURIYU! Now fix my crippling pain! Fix it....

So, apparently there's a new Premier for Alberta. Everyone was talking about it. Except me. Because I was downstairs with breadsticks watching a certain mob family take out a rat. And everyone was like "WHOOOO! NEW PREMIER!" and I was all "YAY! STUPID RAT!"

And then I woke up and cried because it wasn't a dream. D:
Is any of this relavant? NO? OKAY!

Re: Canadian Thread #4

O___o Who'd you want, Palm? Kennedy? >.>; <.<; Martin! Where art thou?!?!

Geni, I think it was, was telling me about this and was saying "Edmonton is the capital of Northern Alberta!" .. Well.. Edmonton is capital of all of Alberta, but there HAS been stupider political leaders.. >.<; Geni, that WAS who you were talking about, right?

*can't..exactly..remember..* Gya~! *runs and hides from flying snowballs*

Re: Canadian Thread #4

Ted Morton was the one who said 'Edmonton is the capital of Northern Alberta'. *sigh* But you're right, there have been dumber political figures. And yup, I'm the one who told you. :p

Re: Canadian Thread #4

^^ I wanted Ralph Back. D:
Because he made jokes that made normal people get angry but I'd laugh until I cried because I think people are too uptight. I mean, c'mon. That Belinda Stronach joke made me laugh so hard, I choked on my muffin.

Now we have whats-his-nuts and I'm all "...Meh."

Re: Canadian Thread #4

I loved Ralph. He gave us money :)

I think politicians have to have a sense of humor with the kind of job they have. They deal with uptight people all the time, (And let's face it, some of the politicians have some sort of stick up their butt anyway) so why not make their job fun? Ralph was good at that. *stomps foot*

Re: Canadian Thread #4

When mom used to work in Calgary, she said she'd actually have Ralph stop by and say hello and they'd chat..

*thinks over it* ... =__= My family has been in contact with too many political and movie figures.

Re: Canadian Thread #4

I miss Ralph, i really loved it when he said he was giving us the 400 dolours

You know it took me at least 4 months to to figure out who was the PM of our country when Ralphy was in  i'm a little slow when it comes to politics so i just knod and i keep my mouth shut when people talk about them *knods*

Re: Canadian Thread #4

Just wondering, whether you guys had decided on a title for your thread? :) Or you just want to leave it as it is?
