ETA: NEW CHAPPIE! HOLY POOH! I have timeee !

Sara was still nervous when she pulle dinto Catherine's driveway ten minutes later. When she knocked on the door, almost immedietly she was greetedby four bubbly, laughing thirteen-year-old girls, followed closly behind by a scowling strawberry blonde who shooed them away. They ran fron the door and down the hall quickly, giggling like mad.

"Hey," Catherine greeted, "Come in! Sorry about them," she said sincerly, closing the door behind them, "Lindsey's having a sleepover." She shot a look across the hall, and rolled her eyes. Sara laughed and followed Catherine into her bedroom.

Sara stood akwardly by the door, while Catherine gathered up hair products, brushes and other appaliences.

"You can go sit in the chair," Catherine looked up at Sara, "In the vanity."

Sara walked over to the vanity that was against a wall on the far side of the room. It was a topey colour room, with an off-white bedspread, made up with 6 or so throw pillows. She sat down, and Catherine came up next to her, laying the hair things on the surface infront of Sara. She then pulled Sara's hair out of the clip that was holding all her damp, curly locks close to her head, then picked up a brush, combing Sara's hair out. Catherine plugged in the hairdryer into the outlet underneath vanity, and let Sara start to blowdry her hair, then took the hairdrier and did it herself. Sara laughed, and Catherine shot her a playful "stern" glance in the mirror.

When her hair was dry, Sara ran her hands through it, and Catherine pluged in her curling iron.

"What are we going to do with this mess," Catherine joked, and Sara smiled.

"Uhm, curl it," Sara stated, "obviously." Catherine laughed.

"Why don't we straighen it," Catherine said, unplugging the hair dryer and then putting the straightener in it's place, "Then curl the ends." Sara nodded,

"You're the boss, it's all up to you."

-- Ten Minutes Later --

"Alright," Catherine said as she put down the curling iron, and unplugged both, "You're done. Now, I'm doing your makeup." Sara smiled and nodded.

"Do your worst, boss lady." Catherine gave her a weird look, then picked up a foundation that would match Sara's skintone, almost a bronzy peach, and a soft eyeliner, brown. When that was done, she moved onto eyeshadow - a tope, and a tinted lipgloss, watermelon pink. Sara looked at herself in the mirror when everything was finished, then stood up and looked at her outfit.

"Cath.." Sara looked at her blue eyes that were shining, "Can I -"

"Okay, an outfit," Catherine moved to her closet and opened it up, "How about this?" She pulled out a white knee-length skirt, with pink embroidered flowers, and a white teeshirt, topped by a pink button-up sweater. Sara gasped.

"I love it," she took the outfit from Catherine, "Can I change in the bathroom?"

"Sure."

---CSICSICSICSICSI---

When Sara came out, she looked absolutely stunning. Her hair and makeup matched the outfit perfectly, and she looked so sweet, while a smile played about her lips, making her look even younger than her 38 years, which shedid anyway.

"I'm so ready for this," she said to Catherine, who smiled. "Sometimes I think you're all I need."

A/N: More soon, all the date and so on. That's not the end of the story. Sara prob'ly will say "All I need," again, but, yeah. Kay, BYEE! :D

Yay! New chapter.

Sara had driven home, and was waiting in her apartment for Grissom to come. It was almost time for him to be there, and she was getting antsy. She couldn’t wait, and all she could think about was how grateful to Catherine she was. This was going to be a great night.

Sara studied herself in her bedroom mirror. She looked great, but the bulge in her stomach was something to draw attention to. She thought it was beautiful, and it had only been a few weeks, but already she was showing a little bit. It was the most exciting time of her life.

Finally, at eight on the dot, there was a knock on the door. Sara rushed to the door, and swung it wide open. There, standing in the doorway, was Grissom, looking exceptionally handsome in his black suit. He was wearing a black high-neck tee shirt under a black blazer, with black slacks and shoes. He handed her a large bouquet of yellow daisies. Sara smiled, and walked out the door, locking it behind her.

“Hi,” she said, looking up into his blazing blue eyes, “I’m really excited.”
“Me, too,” Grissom replied, staring at her, “You look nice.” She smiled again.

When they arrived at his black Tahoe, he opened the door for her, closing it gently after she was in, then walking around to the driver’s side. Grissom started the car, and popped a C.D into the stereo, turning it on a perfect volume, loud enough to hear, but not too loud. Sara beamed, it was ABBA, Does Your Mother Know? Perfect for them, and they both sang along quietly, each in turn glancing at the other, not saying a word.

Not until the arrived at the restaurant did Sara say anything.

“I love this place,” she cried breathlessly, “That’s amazing! How did you know?”
“Just a theory,” Grissom replied, looking straight ahead, reaching for Sara’s hand and taking it in his own. She felt herself blush, “A theory that has been proved by evidence.” He smiled and looked at her lovingly.

In the restaurant, Grissom had a table reserved, with candles and a champagne cooler bucket, all laid out perfectly. It was so romantic, and Sara felt herself flush again.

“This is perfect,” Sara said, sitting down in the chair Grissom pulled out for her.
“Anything for you, honey,” he said, sitting down across from her, taking both her hands in his and gazed at her, all his feelings shown in his bright blue eyes like they were windows into the deepest parts of his heart and soul. Sara looked away bashfully, just as the waitress came up to their table, pulling out her notepad. Both occupants looked up at her.

“Hi, I’m Lisa,” said the pretty, young redhead, “and I’ll be your server for tonight. Are you read to order, or do you just want drinks first? Or – Or I can come back, if you want.”
“No, that’s okay, honey,” Sara said to her, noting the girls tension, thinking she was probably new, then looking back to Grissom, “drinks?”
“Yes, please,” he said, looking from Sara to the waitress, “I’ll have a water, and..”
“A diet coke, please,” Sara said, “thanks. We should be ready to order soon, though.”

The waitress nodded, and turned to go back to the kitchen to get their drinks. The couple turned back to each other, finally ready to make conversation.

“Sara,” Grissom started, looking worried, “Are you sure.. About the baby.. Is it really mine?” Sara put her hand to her stomach, nodding.
“I’m positive, Grissom,” she said, “but it’ll be all right. I’m sure, it will.”

Lisa walked back to their table with their drinks balanced on a tray on her hand. She was looking straight ahead, making sure to keep her balance. After laying the tray on the table, she pulled out her notepad and a pen.

“Anything yet, folks,” she asked quickly, glancing behind her nervously.
“No, not yet,” Grissom said, “come back in a few minutes and we should be ready.” She nodded and walked off quickly.

After a few more minutes of loving gazes and small talk, both Sara and Grissom had looked over their menus and picked out what they wanted. Sara chose a small Caesar salad, and a slice of garlic bread, and for Grissom, being considerate, no meat, just an Italian tomato soup and a side of white rice and cheese sauce. Lisa came back, took their orders, and went to the kitchen, coming back ten minutes later with their food.

Sara picked up her fork and dug in greedily, as did Grissom. In between bites the chatted about names for the baby,

“I love Meghan,” Sara said, grinning, “or Jorja. And for a boy, Noah or probably Andrew.”

Grissom thought for a moment, and then said, “I like Jorja for a girl, too. And for a boy, I like Evan. I think it’s a really different name.”
“I think, for a girl, a middle name,” Sara took a bite of salad, chewing and swallowing, then taking a sip of her coke, “Catherine.”

Grissom smiled, and nodded. “I think I know a certain strawberry blonde who would be very pleased with that.” He was done his soup, and pushed his bowl gently into the middle of the table, Sara doing the same.

“Are you ready to go,” he asked, checking his watch, “it’s 9:30.”

Sara laughed and smiled sweetly.

“I guess we lost track of time,” she said, standing up, “I’m ready to go if you are. I can pay ..”

Grissom shook his head. “You’re not paying anything, this is my treat,” then added, “Time flies when you’re having fun. Now let’s pay this bill and get you home.”

A/N: I know my little summary things have said Season 7 - 8. That's supposed to be season 6 - 7 :)

Ah hah my favorite part...

Grissom thought for a moment, and then said, “I like Jorja for a girl, too. And for a boy, I like Evan. I think it’s a really different name.”

I love all the names they've given out. Now I wonder what the baby's going to be  And what's going to happen *mmm...*

Wait no longer! Here I am with a supersuper update, if I do say myself!

When Sara and Grissom arrived at Sara's apartment door, they stood outside, Sara's hand resting on the locked doorknob.

"I had a really fun time tonight," she said, crossing her hands across her chest, "thanks so much. I really needed this, you know."
"I can imagine," Grissom replied, touching her shoulder, "I had fun, too." He reached for her face, stroking her cheek gently, and she unfolded her arms, putting her hands on his shoulders, and their lips met. Sara's eyes closed, and she felt her heart skip a beat. Grissom touched her so lovingly and carefully, and he knew she was perfect. He always wanted to be with her, for the rest of his life.

They continued to kiss passionately, and finally Sara drew back smiling.

"For so long I've waited for you. I've tried to forget all about you, make myself realize that we can’t be together, but we’re meant to be together. It’s like there’s no one else for me anywhere. Hank was a total failure; I’ll admit it freely. I think it’s my fault he cheated, I didn’t give him enough. But I know you’ll be ready to take it slower, or go faster, depending on the way that I need to feel safe. It’s going to be a long ride, Grissom, I know that we both realize that, but together we can do anything. This baby is going to bring us closer than we’ve ever been, and I don’t want anything that happens to make that different.

“We both know everything we do together is going to be harder than a normal relationship because we’re both so insecure. We need to be open with each other; we need to take time to talk about everything. And we need to tell each other everything. I know you may feel like I’m coming on really strong, but this is how I feel. Do you understand?”

Grissom looked at Sara with understanding in his eyes; he knew she was dead serious about having a real relationship this time. No more chasing rabbits for her any more.

“I do, honey,” he said sincerely, “I really do. Now, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Bye,” Sara said, turning and sticking her key in the lock, then opening the door and walking inside. She closed the door behind her, and leaned against the door, sighing happily. Everything she ever wanted with Grissom was finally happening, and perfectly. He was a perfect man, and now they were having a family! It was like her life was finally making sense, and opening like a blank book, ready to be written in with a happy ending, and Sara was ready with her pencil poised. She went to get ready for bed, smiling as she walked into her bedroom to change.
--
At Grissom’s town house, he was brushing his teeth in the bathroom, thinking about the wonderful night he and Sara had just had. She was everything he wanted and more. They were finally starting a life together, and so far it was amazing. A baby, a love life, and somewhere down the line, maybe marriage. That’s what he had hoped since he met Sara at that seminar in San Francisco.

He vowed to himself as he walked into his bedroom to never hurt her. He didn’t want anything to come between them now, nothing. He wanted her to be the happiest women in all of Las Vegas – No, in the whole world. He never wanted to say anything to her, do anything to her to make her feel unwanted or unloved. Everything he did would be perfect.. He’d be perfect for her, for the baby, for all of them. The Sidle-Grissom family. Grissom smiled as he drifted into a deep sleep, dreaming of his favorite brunette.
