Add a Line Miami Style Part 2

"Oh, that's interesting." Catherine said, sensing Rick's uneasiness with her question. Rick gripped the steering wheel a little tighter and shifted in his seat.

 

I'm going to really have to keep on my toes, working to rescue 2 victims as well as outwit a very good CSI , Rick was mentally already making a plan...

 

He's awfully nervous, Catherine thought, noticing Rick's posture. I wonder if he and Horatio--

"So!", Rick said, a little bit louder than he meant to, "How long have you known Gil Grissom?"

 

They were both silent after that, the silence answering each CSI's unspoken query. "I've known him long enough to know that he doesn't like people who can't keep certain *things* about his friends quiet," she nodded at Rick, placing her hand over his on the wheel in a gesture of trust.

 

Her ability to read the situation so quickly startled Rick, but he was heartened by her understanding. He gave her a grateful nod in return. Catherine went back to watching the passing scenery, and Rick found himself fantasizing about when he would see Horatio again.

 

"What? You DON'T SAY!" her face turned pale as she gasped...

 

"Oh my god," Rick said. "Does the FBI know that there are now three people involved?"

 

"We'll have to be prepared for anything right?" Rick said his jaw set in determination

 

"Yes," Catherine said. "These hostage situations are always tricky."

 

"He's so restless, the question is will the hospital be safe ...from HIM?" Rick said, remembering past time sojourns of the Lieutenant in the hospital
