Just a quick question about AJ. I assume this is the place to ask it!

I thought I read somewhere that he was born in Ireland, moved to Canada while he was fairly young, then moved to the US. If that is true, does he have to work at not having an Irish accent? I love Irish accents! :p
 
Yeah, he was born in Dublin, and moved to Canada when he was 6... I've heard people say that he has an Irish accent, but I've never heard it, and I mean, that's something I quickly pick up on, being from Northern Ireland myself. But if he does have an Irish accent I'd love to hear it, I bet it's really cute... :adore:
 
I saw a clip on YouTube with various roles that AJ has had over the years. He played the role of an Irish man in a movie. He had a great accent, but I wasn't sure how "real" that was. I hope it was real, cause I liked it!

Where in Northern Ireland are you from? I would LOVE to visit that area sometime. I've heard it's beautiful!
 
Aww, I'd love to hear his Irish accent, what movie did he plays an Irish guy in? Hehe, anything AJ makes me very happy. :D I bet he sounded adorable, I don't really think an Irish accent is something that you can easily loose, so I bet there are still something that he says which sound Irish... :lol:

I'm from just outside of Belfast. Some parts are pretty, such as the North Coast. ;)
 
There was a video called "AJ's acting Demo" or something like that. I don't remember the name of the movie, tho - sorry.

I think I am starting to feel the same way about AJ/Adam (shhhhh, don't tell Fay)!

It's okay, I'm willing to share...mostly. :p

I feel like I should know the answer to the accent question, but I must be getting old because I'm drawing a blank. :lol: (I don't really hear an accent when he speaks in interviews and such, but I'm no expert on Irish or Canadian accents to say he sounds a certain way.)
 
i just watch a.j. buckley acting demo and omg that guys got talent. i especially loved the scene from the box in it he looked hot as hell:drool:. i need screen caps.
 
I love that scene too. Just because it shows a different side of AJ. Sooooo, I just HAD to look it up to see if I could get my hands on that movie. YUP! At bestbuy.com. The reviews are awesome, but apparently, he doesn't have a hige role. But hey, AJ is AJ, right?!
 
He had an Irish accent in "The Last Sin Eater". I was watching it last night, and I was like, Hey! There it is! :lol:

I bought The Last Sin Eater in LA for like $5 used. It's not the best movie ever, and the religious message gets heavy-handed toward the end (as tends to happen in religious movies), but it's pretty good. And AJ playing a father makes my ovaries squeal. :p

However, wasn't his accent supposed to be Scottish in that one?

Are you sure? I just watch the trailer on youtube and they didn't sound Welsh at all (I lived there for 3 years), they all had weird accents which I couldn't place.
 
I haven't seen it yet, but have got a used copy coming from amazon website. I think it was on IMDB forum that I saw Welsh people complaining about the dreadful accents. I expect that a Welsh accent is difficult to do, I can't even pronounce Welsh place names. :)
