Anyone else here really hating Roland Burris right now? Obama's got so much good momentum going, and IMMEDIATELY his pseudo-Senate-successor goes into a self-righteous, self-centered tizzy. I wish Burris would resign already, and leave the scandals to the GOP. The last thing the Dems need is a corrupt Senator, let alone one who's supposed to be filling Obama's seat. Talk about raining on the parade...

Also, anyone else been hearing about the Bunning controversy? Or rather various sources of controversy?

EDIT: What did everyone think of Obama's speech tonight? It sounded amazing, IMO.
 
Hearing Obama's speech made me so happy. He is so headstrong, but not idiotic. He lays down his ideas and doesn't take $#!T from anyone. I love how strongwilled he is. it really gives me faith that we will be able to get through this in one piece. That is, if people just give him a chance before judging him.

Me too,:bolian: the guy has been in office about 6 week's and the flack he's getting and all the negative vibes from the 'others' is heart-wrenching so much downer news. Hannity and Bill O'Reilly are so off the wall and just revel in smearing his whole persona, and than Rush Limbaugh, what a troll and a negative awful person, he needs to go away:scream: He's doing what he promised in all his campaign and everyone should support him and wait a while before slamming his promises, it pi.... me off:(

OH don't get me started on Rush. He is so full of crap, he has to spew it somewhere. I think that if Obama was in office for longer than a year, and he didn;t make due with his promises, then alot of people would have a right to say what they are saying now. He needs to be given a proper chance.

And does anyone else think its funny how no one wants anything to do with Bush, but they wait til he's out of office. But before that, they were all kissing his behind. But now that there is new leadership, everyone has turned their back on him. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

I got an email today, an email I will not share because I will not further perpetuate the hatred that is swirling around this coutnry. I will give you the main idea. In the bible it states that there will be a middle eastern "prince" if you will, who will trick everyone with his words and great ideas. This "prince" is the anti-christ and was sent here to test humans. At the end the posted a picture of President Obama. It then said "don't drink the purple kool-aid" which I find offensive. I just thought I would share the stupidity with the rest of you. Sorry if some of you don't like to discuss religion.

That's so bizarre. And why do they even mention it being a middle-eastern prince in particular? Pretty much everyone in the Bible is from the Middle East... It's people who spread rumors like that that make me ashamed to be an American.
 
DAMN STRAIGHT! Thank you happyharper13. Seriously, I don't know why people are so stupid. The whole email was ridiculous pretty much calling Obama the anti-christ. Not everyone believes in Christianity, so not all people really give a crap.

Not to mention most of the stories told in the bible take place in Egypt which is in Africa. So once again, people get it wrong.

But anyways, I think the negativity of the American people will be put to rest when Obama proves all of those doubters wrong. I have so much faith in him, it's scary! I see it as he HAS to succeed. There is no other way. he HAS to fix this country. I honestly believe he is the only one.

Oh, and one more thing. Did any one find Bobby Jindal so ANNOYING after Obama's speech? He drove me crazy! He has no idea what he's talking about!
 
I have a great idea about where Rush Limbaugh should go.. take him in an airplane and parachute him over downtown Baghdad, see how well he fares over there:cardie:

Lol. That would be an insult to the fine art of bitchiness, speaking as someone who subscribes to the Tina Fey School of Bitchiness ('Bitches get stuff done'). But I totally agree about Coulter. She is despicable. Oh, and this convo totally reminds me of one of the newer cold opens on SNL, featuring the GOP congressional leadership debating, among other things, whether Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh is the most intelligent person alive. :guffaw:
 
I'm not going to critrize Obama and I will give him a chance and He will surprise us and He did good so far.

Ann Coulter- I read about her on the internet and she got mad at the Today Show, because they cancelled on her about something.

Rush Limbough- I know my Grandfather love him. I think he weird. He complaint about economists is going down. I don't see him help Obama and other stuff when he was with Bush. He is the blame as much as Congress did. Back in 2000 or 2001, Bush told the Congress about economists is going down and they didn't listen to him and now looks what's happened today. People wouldn't lost their home or job or business.

It was Michaela Watkins as Anne Coulter, I think. I'm fairly certain that it was an online exclusive though.

I don't quite understand what you're saying. Are you saying that Bush warned Congress that the economy was going downhill in 2000/2001 and that, because they didn't listen to Bush, the economy is going downhill?
