Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILERS***

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

I really loved the episode. OK, i was never a big Speedle fan but i was happy to see him.
GIVE RYAN HIS JOB BACK! I loved when he said "I miss the team" like he was about to cry. *I miss you too Ry!*
Why don't you people like Jake?? I think he his very attractive. I even liked the vest that the wore xD

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

I wrote this review like an hour after the episode aired but there was so much ship material in it that it really didn't belong here. I did, however, tell Lucy last week that I'd cut out the ship parts and copy-paste it here. And since we share first names, the promise must be kept. ;)

I went a little overboard with the swearing and there's some character disliking so if you're easily offended, scroll past.

- What the fuck happened to H's one-liners?! Now they come up with weak shit like, "he's alive, call rescue." YOWWW! And where are his sunglasses?

- Natalia's nipples. Maybe I'm just a pervy little girl but wow, you can totally see her nipples in the first scene she shows up in. Is she trying to steal Eric with her nipples? News flash, Nat, Eric's seen your knockers and he ain't interested.

+ Eric's stubble. Welcome back, my friend, welcome back. We missed you dearly.

-- Jake's annoying as fuck. Someone please do something with his voice, his lip, his hair, his ugly vest-type thing that I'm only grateful for because it means we don't see him naked in Calleigh's presence. Is there a point to Jake other than to make sure the viewers know that Calleigh's sleeping with someone? Like how disinterested did Jake seem when Calleigh was talking about the coffee machine? I don't give a fuck about a coffee machine either but if Calleigh's talking to me about a coffee machine, I'm going to listen about that damn coffee machine.

- Eric's nonchalance about Speed's appearance. If I started hallucinating, I'd flip the fuck out. Eric? "Hey, Speed, help me find some evidence, 'kay? I'm talking to my dead best friend, so logically, the first thing I'm going to ask you is how to solve this case, because that's clearly the most important thing evar!!! Fuck questions about how you're doing or WHY YOU'RE THERE, let's find a beer bong together! b^_^d"

- The male vic (Brandon?) breaking the car window with his feet. Physically impossible unless he was the hulk or the glass was heated to such an immense temperature that he'd be fried inside-out anyway so he'd be dead and there'd be no second case and the show would've finished twenty minutes early so they can stream a feed of porn. "but loosy, its a tv sho lol!!!!!" No. Shut the fuck up.

+ Frank Tripp = awesome. Especially bald Frank Tripp. Doubly awesome. And when Eric was tripping again and Frank's kinda like okie dokie...

++ Alexx. She's great with everyone, and her concern for Eric is so genuine. I like that she rejected Ryan, too. Make that SOB work for it.

- Ryan. Yes, he lost his job and his friends and his integrity, but whose fault is that? Go whine about it to Dr. Phil and then write a sappy autobiography that'll sell just enough copies to feed your drug addiction.

- Natalia should not go into marketing. "You obviously haven't seen our new Turbotron X1600. " Shut up. Eric doesn't give a damn about your new gizmo. He's too busy fantasizing about make-up sex with Calleigh after that hummer fight. I mean, thinking about how he's hallucinating Speed... yes.

-- Wow, how fucking stupid can you be to leave that burn residue crap on the observation deck? It wasn't even like they had to use their superspy equipment on it to see it. It looked like group of pigeons collectively took a shit there. You're a burn victim, Brandon, not a retard. Though I suppose if you're 41k in debt, you are, in fact, a retard of sorts.

+++ Calleigh: "You don't think Eric got hurt? You don't think I'm hurt?" I love Emily. Seriously, wow, I'm so impressed by the way she delivered that line.

- Cooper. I just knew that one day he'd fuck up, and fuck up bad. But it seemed like the writers kinda pulled it out of their asses and was like, "hey, one fuck-up isn't enough; let's add Coop-dee-doop because he's just a lab tech and because we hired a better-looking lab tech even though she's boring as hell and has only made one appearance." (i.e. wtf happened to Sam?)

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

Well, I thought it was one of the best episodes in a long time. Granted, I'm biased because of my love for Speed, and my dislike for Cooper (seriously, am I the only one who never liked him?). But anyway, yeah, I liked it.

It was just so thrilling to see Rory again! And the Speed/Eric banter, oh how I've missed it.

I agree with Geni, the writers finally did something right. I just loved that they showed Eric at the grave, and the flashback to Speeds funeral. Great touch.

And if Eric hallucinates Speed in one episode, he can always do it again, right

As for Cooper, well, as I said, I've never liked him, so I'm not at all upset about what happened. Well, I mean, I like him even less now... what a horrible thing for him to do. Goodbye and good riddence.

Just one thing though... "When we get one of these coffee makers" WTF? We? So Calleigh and Jake are living together now? Please.

*runs off to watch episode again*

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

I loved this ep b/c it was about time they addressed Speed's death in a meaningful way. It only took them three years to do it but considering the way in which they did it and the circumstances surrounding his appearance, I think they did it very well.

Didn't get the whole coffee machine thing....everything with Calleigh and Jake is soo forced and out of place that it makes it hard to watch. My consolation is that Jake is just filler and only serves the purpose of filling in for Frank while he is doing his Patrole hours and to progress the E/C storyline.

As for Cooper, I couldn't believe he actually tried to rationalize that what he was doing was ok and not a big deal.

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

All in all a pretty good episode.. other than the Calleigh/Jake coffee maker scene....geesh, she is such a great lady but she always sounds like an over eager puppy around Jake....

One thing I didn't quite understand HOW did Speed's credit card end up in Eric's hummer??
I was really sorry to see Cooper written out that way.. I liked him, heck we even have the same last name so what's not to like??

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

I enjoyed the episode overall a lot. It was better than I expected it to be so big ups to the writers. Eric/Speed banter was the greatest. I thought they were going to have Eric in shock or freaked out about seeing him but he was actually happy to see him. Don't even get me statred on dumbass Dan and his stupidity for using the credit card!! The shipper in me was happy with the scenes Eric and Calleigh had so I won't get into it. The JC coffee machine scene made no sense, I mean what was its purpose..........seriously?

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

This was my favorite episode of the season so far. I loved the case. I was kind of mad though that the guy was trying to commit suicide with his girlfriend and then killed the guy that was suppose to be bad. Then I had to be mad at who I thought was victim. Good way to have a surprise thought.

The whole Speed story was cool. I can totally get why Eric was freaked out. If the credit card of someone I had know was dead for three years was in use I would freak too. I did not believe Speed was alive until Eric called about the card. Then I started to wonder. The idea of maybe he was in witness protection or something came to mind. When it was revealed that Cooper was using the card I was pissed. I wanted to punch him. He had always been a little creepy to me, but this just made me see he is a bad seed. And the fact that he tried to explain away the fact that he used a dead guys card as "he won't need it" makes me mad. You have to be cold to steal from a dead guy. He even had to go in Speed's locker to get it!

Now, way would they keep all of Speed's stuff in his locker all this time. 1, wouldn't his family want his belongings. 2, don't they need the locker. And 3, if they want to keep it wouldn't they lock it up or at least think to disconnect the card.

Anyway, that was a great episode. Now I have to morn Speed all over again.

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

I liked this episode more than the rest from this season, even though some things did not make sense.

I liked Eric's scenes with Speed, they were always friends and Speed's death did hit Eric hard

I liked Calleigh trying to get Eric to talk about what was bothering him, and I was hoping he would tell her, I was kind of disappointed that he didn't

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

I love it!! Sure my heart got hit by 2 arrows at the end when Speed out off into the sunset, and when they show the his death scenes. But I I thought they did a wonderful job and I love the story line. Maybe they could show more of Rory and I would love to see alive at the end, But that would been wishful thinking. '
I also wish the ep could last forever because now I have to
wait along time for the rerun

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

just like to thank you for all the reviews of S6 as ikonw i am going to enjoy it when it airs here in the UK next year :)

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

Well I have just finished watching BBYD and during the very last scene between Eric, H, and of course Tim the tears flowed, near enough as much as they did during LS. I held the emotion down during most the episode, but it was bubbling to the surface when Calleigh was giving it to Cooper and then in the grave yard I fell apart.

I really enjoyed the episode, yeah there was plot holes and whatnot. I can't compare it to other S6 episodes as I haven't seen any yet. Hell I'm only upto No Mans Land (which will be on in a sec) so tonight I was watchin Delko suffer hallucinations from a GSW to the head which he hasn't had yet in the UK  I simply couldn't wait till next August to watch Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim :p

I kinda of filed with pride when Dan was tryin' to justify his actions 'You guys speak so highly of him, I wanted to see what the guy was like' I was like 'Thats our Tim he was the best.

Anyways I shall go dry my tears and watch Clavo Cruz escape from Prison

It feels a little odd posting this, but thanks Lucy! :D

Thanks for bearing this in mind - much appreciated, even if I do personally like reading about E/C. ;)

*Mod hat on* Re swearing, we try to discourage excessive swearing as this is a PG-13 Board, though occasional usage is fine and at times more than understandable!

Thanks for the heads up. I knew I was pushing it but I couldn't help myself. EC gets me overly excited, and gaping plot holes make me unnecessarily angry.

I've never been a huge fan of Speed, but I like the closure the team, especially Eric, got. I don't think the writers give us enough scenes that show us how life-changing moments like the death of a loved one impact the characters. Eric never really got closure for Marisol's death (I mean, okay, he went to Brazil to kill Riaz; barely constitutes closure and it was made out to seem like it was a bigger deal for Horatio), so I'm glad he could properly say let go of Speed in this episode.

That's okay. I can definitely understand the reasoning. ;)

Re: Episode #604: 'Bang Bang, Your Debt' ***CONTAINS SPOILER

The episode definitely gave us closure on Speed, but did it make anyone else sad to think of the "good ol' days?" (ie: Season 1-2)

No matter who you ship or like together, I think a lot of fans would say the earlier years were way better. All the characters interacted and there was a sense of brotherhood/sisterhood and comoraderie that is LACKING now.

The closest we got to comoraderie in this episode was Cal and Eric - it was nice to see them trying to talk about Speed as friends - they need to drop this whole soap opera "love triangle" thing IMHO and get back to what makes this show work - the interaction between the main cast.

This leads me to another point people may or may not care about. Practically every major character interacted with every other character in this episode (except for Ryan who was MIA) - everyone except Horatio and Calleigh, the two leads who went through hell when Speedle died.

I'm not pushing a ship here, but is it weird that H and Cal haven't been in one scene together in 13 episodes - and that's if you count the 5-second exchange in "Man Down." If you don't count "Man Down," it's actually 20 episodes without a scene between the two leads. That doesn't make any sense to me, and is part of the reason why comoraderie has been lost.

Speed and Eric had a great relationship, a great friendship, and that really came across in last night's ep. But what about the characters now? Eric and Cal are strained b/c of the stupid love triangle thing; Ryan and Eric are always bickering; Cal and Horatio don't even talk anymore; and Alexx has been MIA until recently.

There's too many characters on this show now, and it's detracting from it. Jake is a one-dimensional joke, yet they're putting him in every other episode like they need more actors?! What the #$#@!@

Anyone else feelin' me on this?
