Here's the synopsis for the finale so far. I said this in the designated thread as well, but this is the third or fourth time Lady Heather has created "manical controversy between Grissom and Sidle" :shifty: hope they have some new tricks up their sleeve. also sounds quite interesting..
Spoiler It's all Heather creates! As much as I hate the thought of Heather in the finale, I'm not worried about her. It's the ideas some writers can get that worry me more, since they can cause enough havoc without her around anyway. Interesting how they are mentioned in the same sentence. Since we know D.B. moves to FBI, then Sara either takes his place or retires... and since she's too young to retire...
I was also thinking she might leave with Grissom. If the writers chose the "they get back together" route. I was excited when we found out they were serious about tying up the loose ends with GSR in the finale, but the inclusion of Lady Heather guarantees frustration!
It wouldn't be bad if she left the lab to be with him, although that'd be a greater sacrifice for her than the one he made when he left; he left things in order while she's at an age and time that Grissom was when he became supervisor. They haven't given her any other particular interests to pursue, unless she chooses a path that deals with victims/children instead of forensics. Spoiler I'm torn about LH... I can't easily re-watch any episodes she's in and to have her in the finale is a problem... but maybe they'll do it right this time. Also, Grissom hasn't cheated on Sara, regardless of LH's appearances, whereas we can't say the same about Sara and random guys at bars (and all because of that stupid episode)...
I hated that episode and everything it created, but the episode did make it clear that she wasn't cheating, her and Grissom weren't together at that point. Part of why the episode sucked is because WP wasn't there, so everything was so one-sided! We didn't know what Grissom was doing or why, we don't really know what Sara was doing or reacting to. It was just awful. And I think they've set themselves up with a hard story to close. Sara told the entire team that they were no longer together.. everyone knows about the awkward triangle with LH.. this finale might be awkward. EDIT: Might rewatch some season 6 GSR tonight..
It's strange, because she still hoped for him to show up on her birthday, she did get a text from him and the photos happened before that night, so whatever he had done/said she still wanted him back... Also, the only problem we were told they had was distance. Now they have to tell us that there were either more serious issues behind this, or that there's no distance between them anymore and they can be happy again (which is a weak excuse and story for a finale). I'm on season 4 myself. I've noticed that one of CSI's weaknesses started when the spin-off started, because they became limited to Las Vegas only - related stories. It used to be about all kinds of stories and crimes, but it slowly became mostly about casinos, prostitutes and gambling.
Spoiler This feels like old times I'm going to be so bummed if they pull this off, because I want to see these two on screen forever.
Very sweet interaction last nite at the Paleyfest between Billy and Jorja. They both got a little teary-eyed, and so did I. Love these two. @CSI_CBS: "I think Grissom fell in love with Sara because you got him, and you got me too." - William Petersen to Jorja Fox. #CSIFarewellSalute
Well guys............. tomorrow is the last time we will ever see Grissom and Sara on screen together. It's also the first time we'll see them on screen together in years. Tomorrow will be rough.
I've just finished watching it I wish I felt like most people do about it. There was more Lady Heather than necessary. At some point I even thought "just how many times have they said the words 'Lady Heather' on this episode?". As for the GSR part... not the most romantic one for me. If GSR was always like this on the show I probably wouldn't like it as much.
