I hope they resolve the Ray/Haskell thing before the season finale because this being Marg's last season as a regular, it is my opinion that the season finale should be centered on Catherine more than anyone else.

Sometimes I wonder if they are leading up to a Gideon like ending for Ray. On CM, Gideon's battle with one particular serial killer ended in the psycho killing Gideon's girlfriend and Gideon ended up leaving the BAU cause he just couldn't handle it after that. If LF decided to leave CSI (NOT saying he is leaving, this is just a scenario for if he did someday decide to leave) then I can see them having Haskell kill Ray's ex-wife and Ray leaving the job due to that. But if LF does sign on for next season, then I see that storyline going a little differently. I see it as Haskell kidnaps Gloria and her new hubby and kills the husband, but Ray and the other CSIs/cops get there in time to save her. And then eventually (much later on) Ray and his ex will get back together. Whatever happens, I just hope Haskell is killed off this season. I'm sick of him.

As for Haskell wanting Ray to see what he does to Gloria, I can see that happening... but I think Haskell would probably have cameras set up sort of like the guy who buried Nick alive did.
 
I really hope they don't do the finale on Ray. This would be the third in a row. This has never happened previously. Grissom had a majority, but never in a row. The others had at least one finale focused on them: S3 - Cath, S5- Nick, S6 - Brass (sorta), S7 - Sara (and Grissom, but people remember it for Sara), S8 - Warrick. If this is Marg's last season as a main, it needs to be about Cath.

Well, for once I totally agree with you Praetor they certainly should focus on Cath, this should be a go:bolian:
 
OK, according to my math (which could very well be wrong... I hate math and math hates me ;) :lol:) the 250th episode should be airing this season (episode #21). I'm curious to see if it'll be a 'big event' or just your typical episode focusing on Dr. Ray and his hunt for the smartest serial killer in the history of mankind. ;)
 
Maybe Haskell's crazy girlfriend will end up killing haskell, or he and Ray have to work together to escape her crazy clutches!! (and then they become friends and live happily ever after).

I find it hard to believe that they would even consider the last episode being all about Ray and not Catherine. Way to show loyalty to one of your longest serving Actors.

If they do have Haskell in the final ep and he's still going after couples then i hope they don't go the cliche route and have him go after Cath/Vartann or Gloria and her husband.

I just remembered we've got Sqweegel as well, maybe he'll come back for the 250th episode?
 
Well, we basically know how the Haskell thing will end. They set it up perfectly at the trial when Ray told Haskell that he has the same murder gene, but hasn't killed anyone yet. So, it'll come down to a situation where Ray has to kill Haskell in self defense. The writers are getting way too predictable.

I don't really see Catherine walking out of the lab being the final scene of the season. What I'd really LOVE to see is something like the end of Season 1 where they're all sitting at the cafe eating breakfast. That would be a perfect way to have Catherine end - at the table with the people who have become her family. It's been very noticeable this season how "motherly" she's become to them all.

Nooooo!!! The last time they ended an episode with a happy breakfast, Warrick was murdered!! :eek:

:lol: But really, yes, it would be nice to have a simple end of season show that isn't gimicky or a cliffhanger. But I think those days are over.

:lol: I thought about the Warrick cliffie and the diner scene, but my favorite will always be S1.

Here's a thought: How about them with a get-together at Cath's casino - whether it's in a cafe, a night club, or the VIP room?

Yeah, I heard that. That's why I'm hoping they have Catherine go into the casino business after leaving CSI. There would be many possibilities for her to return in some capacity - just as long as she doesn't take after daddy in the "mob" part of the business! ;)

I really hope she comes back as some kick a** casino exec. It'll be great to see her balance her previous knowledge of all things forensic with the need to protect her casino's reputation.

She mentioned doing a few episodes next season in this week's People magazine.
