Finally got some spoilers for 6.16 "Uncertainty Rules". I'll be back in a bit with more info. :)

ETA: Ok, here goes:
6.16 "Uncertainty Rules":

~ The episode starts with a man wielding an ax in the street. He's swinging it at cars and screaming, bare-chested and covered with blood. He's clearly out of control. Two cops rush to the scene and are forced to use a taser to subdue him. They end up having to put him in a body bag (with holes in it) to take him in.

~ The man had a hotel key card in his pocket. When Mac and Flack go up to the room, they discover a gruesome scene: four victims (two guys and two girls), all killed with an ax.

~ Back at the precinct, they discover that their ax-wielding suspect is James Ritchie, and he was high on LSD when he was found in the street. His girlfriend, Sara, insists that James didn't do drugs. She identifies the two male victims from the hotel room as his friends Mark and Daniel. She doesn't know the two women, though. All she knows is that Mark and Daniel were determined to take James (who wasn't big on birthday parties) out for some fun for his 21st birthday.

~ All James remembers is being kidnapped by clowns - at first, they assume he was just hallucinating, but Danny finds two clown masks with Mark and Daniel's DNA on them. They must have worn the masks when they pretended to kidnap him before taking him out for a night of fun. From that point on, the team is on their own when it comes to figuring out what happened - and whether or not James killed his friends and the two women.

~ The women are identified as Jackie and Lacey, and they are both in the system for drug possession. That may explain where the drugs came from, but it doesn't explain how they knew the other two victims - or how all four people ended up dead in a hotel room.

~ Danny and Flack appear to have a lot of scenes together. Mac seems to have some good moments with James.

~ Since we've got three characters who have been MIA in some episodes this season, I thought I'd share what I can tell from the spoilers: Sid is mentioned (so hopefully he'll be there, although it could just be one of those times where he's referenced without appearing). Adam is mentioned as well. No sign of Lindsay, but that doesn't mean she isn't in the episode. :)

Episode 6.16 - Uncertainty Rules

CSI: NY - Episode 6.16 - Uncertainty Rules - Plotline and Casting Call

STORY LINE

The CSI team investigates a particularly gruesome murder with no easy answers...

[JAMES] 21... handsome, if not a bit nerdy looking, think a Ben Foster type - James is a college student, a physics major and science buff, the type of young man who would rather hit the library than the clubs. Forced by his well-intentioned friends to celebrate his 21st birthday in style, James becomes the unwitting victim of a surreal nightmare. Inadvertently drugged, he then becomes a witness to the gruesome slaying of his best buddies. He is freaked, numbed and awash in a combination of grief and guilt by the unspeakable incident...GUEST STAR. PLEASE ALSO SUBMIT OFFER ONLY IDEAS.

[RUFUS] 38, Caucasian, Rufus is a drug dealer, think Gary Oldman in "True Romance." A dark scary tweaker who does not take ingratitude lightly, Rufus is not about to lose two of his earners. Soulless and unnervingly creepy, he hacks up his defectors as well as their two new friend, later on the hunt for the only living witness...GUEST STAR.

[SARA] 21, bookish yet beautiful, she is James' girlfriend, deeply concerned when he is taken into custody. She explains to the police that James was not much of a party guy but that his two friends had made plans for his 21st birthday. She is shaken to see James, still high on the effects of LSD... ONE-DAY GUEST STAR.

[CALVIN] OPEN ETHNICITY, A little person, 32 year old Calvin is 3'9", a professional wrestler who enjoys giving the audience their money's worth. Questioned by the police about a brutal murder when some of his DNA shows up on James' leg, Calvin is understandably aghast to learn about the crime and explains how he had bit the young man's leg when he'd taken him on in the ring...GUEST STAR.

[KELLY] 26, brunette and stunningly beautiful, the hostess at a country 'n western themed bar. She sports a cowboy hat and a Southern drawl, but there's nothing Texas about this girl. She quickly drops the accent when Danny asks if she's from Long Island...ONE-DAY GUEST STAR.

[GERALD] 42, a Steven Wright look with a dead pan personality, he is a cab driver in New York. Not the brightest bulb, he tells the police that he'd let a couple of college guys drive his cab after they gave him a hundred bucks...ONE DAY GUEST STAR

[MARK] 21, a Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson type, he is James' well-meaning friend, insistent that James do some serious partying on his 21st birthday. High-energy, spirited, but rather immature, he (who is hardly a jet-setter himself) becomes the hapless victim of ill-timed providence. Unaware of the horrible fate that awaits them, they give a lift to two seemingly unfettered young women, only to meet a hideous end at the hands of an angry madman...ONE-DAY GUEST STAR.

[DANIEL] 21, a Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson type, he is James' well-meaning friend, insistent that James do some serious partying on his 21st birthday.

[MARY] 75, with more energy than most twenty-somethings, living in a high end, Upper East Side assisted living facility, she is a spunky senior who has nothing but good things to say about Mark and Daniel. Apparently, the two young men liked to join the oldsters for bingo where the stakes where invitingly high... ONE-DAY GUEST STAR.

[HENRY] 75, he is another resident at the assisted living facility, something of a sour-puss and the polar opposite of his bingo buddy, Mary. Naturally suspicious, he thinks the young men only came by to patronize and mock the older people... ONE-DAY GUEST STAR.

[JACKIE] Mid - Late 20's, she is a drug dealer working for Rufus, on the run for her life when she happens upon an unsuspecting Mark and Daniel who give her a lift. Opportunist, she is hoping to divest the guys of some of their very visible cash, but is met with a horrible death at the hands of their outraged supplier..sptv050769.CO-STAR.

[LACEY] Mid - Late 20's, she is a drug dealer working for Rufus, on the run for her life when she happens upon an unsuspecting Mark and Daniel who give her a lift. Opportunist, she is hoping to divest the guys of some of their very visible cash, but is met with a horrible death at the hands of their outraged supplier...CO-STAR - NO LINES.

[OFFICER] OPEN ETHNICITY, 35, this police officer tries to reason with a clearly demented and ax-wielding James...CO-STAR.

Yet again, the casting call gives away the ending.

Sounds like a good episode! Is there any good Danny/Flack banter or humor? :D

It definitely looks like Danny and Flack will have some fun scenes together as they're following in the guys' footsteps - the best one will probably be when they visit some old people at a Bingo game. :p

When is CBS going to let us know about the Danny-and-Flack-buddy-comedy spinoff?

Well, I do like Danny/Flack scenes. I can't wait for the new episodes to start back up in a few days.

Anyone have thoughts about what Eddie said in his interview? The little snippet about Danny being put in a spot?
