Rhonda (1CSIMfan, doncha know ) and I have been talking about it, and I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I can get it to work out. I've got some money in my savings account, and I'm not afraid to use it all--this could very well be my one chance to go to LA before I'm old and dead. (And yeah, I'm only 21, but you never know what life will throw at you. )

A hike? Going up those big steps??? Okay, I'm planning on losing weight, but I'll still be a lard ass. Hopefully a 50-pounds-lighter lard ass, but y'know...(Of course, I'm saying this as I eat leftover pizza as my ridiculously-late lunch--I obviously need to get my ass in gear. :lol

But I flatly refuse to drive. :lol: Me+driving=disaster. :lol: I hate driving around this town I've lived in for almost 10 years, and I still get lost here. Someone else will need to be behind the wheel, unless booze renders everyone else incapable. :lol:

As for not meeting hotties--damn. :lol: I was so hoping to kidnap AJ and force him to be my love slave. But alas, I suppose I'll have to compromise and steal one of you lovely ladies. :devil:

I'm really excited about this, and I have absolutely no problems letting someone else make the arrangements and tell me where to send my money.

So as it stands right now, I'm determined to be there, but don't hold me to it, because sometimes life sucks like that.

and like Deb stated in her first post, we all pretty much have an idea on how everyone is and I don't think that any of us would really stray from what we know of each other on-line.

Plus, Fay, it would be a great opportunity to scope out AJ and profess your undying love to him. :lol:

You can count me in. I've already gotten the time off from work and I'm all ready. Now, who's gonna shove me on that plane? I've never flown and I'm not really looking forward to that part.

As for driving...I'll gladly drive. I plan on getting a rental car and I don't drink so I can help haul all the drunk asses back to their hotels. :lol: Seriously though, driving around LA doesn't scare me as much as riding in a plane. I could care less if I get lost or something. I always manage to find my way.

I'm really, really excited to see so many people are coming or considering coming! A huge thanks to MrsG, who is simply a goddess of organization.

I just want to underscore a few things:

1) I'd highly recommend buddying up with one or two people for the trip. You can share the costs of rental cars or cabs (just make sure to schedule flights at similar times!) and even rooms if you're comfortable with that. LA is not horridly expensive, but it helps to split costs on the big expenses, like hotel and transportation.

2) Drinking and going out at night (or on any activity) is entirely up to you. I do drink, so for those that like to imbibe, there will be others to raise a toast with. But don't worry about being pressured to drink or anything ridiculous like that--it will not happen. And no drugs, period. I'm not high enough on the Hollywood food chain to have my own cocaine dealer.

3) Running into CSI: NY hotties--sorry, gotta echo MrsG on this one. I've lived in LA for 6 months now, and I think I've only seen two celebrities, and one I would have missed if MrsG hadn't pointed her out. It's possible I'm especially oblivious (don't agree! ) but there are many, many more regular folks here than celebs, and trying to find someone from CSI: NY would literally be looking for a needle in a haystack. (Watch AJ fall out of the sky right in front of Fay when we're walking down Hollywood Blvd. now that I've said that. :lol: )

4) I've met a lot of people in person from online sites and have yet to come across anyone I found to be a true freak. I've liked most a lot. It's fun, and this will be a big group thing, so no worries on the sketch front.

Bitten, get your ass down here! If we go to a male strip club, we can get you a lap dance.

I'll definitely do my best to make it, it sounds too good to pass. And I'm just about up for anything, early morning run/hike included, though I might join MrsG in the "sober" club seeing as I'm not a drinker.

Top, just brought up a great point that I wanted to mention, I will be the first person to grab a drink with you or a Dr. Pepper, I don't care if you do not drink, but I am adamantly against any form of illicit drug use. I see this everyday at my day job and I will not tolerate it. period. It is illegal and it will not only get you into trouble with the law, but it will potentially kill you. Ok so that was my public service announcement for the day. :lol:

on a lighter note, I am sooo excited to meet everyone and see MrsG and Top again! I also am rather interested in seeing male strippers! :lol:

I have excitedness overload right now. I don't know which I'm more excited about right now: LA this summer or JC Chasez at my rinky mall on Tuesday. I screeched like a fangirl at that on my way home today when I heard about it. :lol:

Ooh! I'm so excited to meet all you guys! Hopefully, everything will work out and the parental units won't have major meltdowns a few weeks before or anything. I mean, my mom knows about it and she tells my dad everything and he hasn't said anything about it yet. :lol:

I just checked out a map to see how far LA is from T.O and damn it's far :lol:

This is a really cool idea, and sounds like so much fun. I've never flown before, so that could be a problem. If I can sort out the money issue and my fear of flying, Im totally there.

Y'all seem like a crazy bunch, I can't imagine what you're like in real life :lol:

ETA: What's the weather like in L.A. during the summer, this little Canuck can't take too much heat :lol:

Leave it to Top to have located the male strippers already. :lol: I'm always game for anything. ... Funny little OT stripper story: A few summers back, literally every one of my friends got married. I went to bachelorette parties in Vegas no less than 6 times in the span of one summer! Each one involved the requisite trip to Olympic Gardens to see the male strippers. I fell into a pattern of getting lap dances from the same guy every time. Dominick. :lol: Dead serious. Pre-CDG fangirl days though. Anyhow, I thought Dominick was HOT and damn the boy could dance. On my last visit, he knew the bachelorette parties had come to an end and I wasn't coming back. So he pulled me up on stage during one of his performances for a little bump and grind and my friends took pics. When I got the pics back a couple weeks later, it was like, "OMG! How freakin' dim must those lights be???" The dude was heinous! :lol: But anyhow, back OT, I'm all for shelling out for lap dances from some man whore who can't withstand the day light test, if any of you are interested. :lol:
