Oh, that is it! I am making something of those two pics ^.

Alright, this a few hours ago (Technically last Tuesday), John Cena had a match on SmackDown!. Here are some pics to prove it:

00000000038.jpg

*squee* 3 of my favorite Superstars teamed up! Cena, Lashley and Batista.

3396862.jpg

Then Edge had to come in and Spear John. Phoowee! But at least Lashley pinned Booker. That's something for me.

And I think, with this pic, Cena was talking smack. (After, all the show is SmackDown!)

00000000013.jpg

“Tonight, the odds are even,” the WWE Champion proclaimed, “because in my corner tonight will be Bobby Lashley. In my corner tonight, I go to war with Batista. Tonight from The Champ there will be no kissing feet because tonight on SmackDown, we will simply kick [King Booker’s] ass.”

^That's the John Cena attitude I like. And that's why I love John Cena.

Oh, and watch out for a Steel Cage match, Cena vs. Edge, for the WWE title.

And for me to think that No Mercy is 9 days from now. Makes me a bit nervous for the World Title match.

Okay, then. I'll watch SmackDown! tomorrow night. Hmm, speaking of WWE. Bottomline is on right now. Okay, I'll make this quick...

Here's something we haven't seen in a while:
Rey Mysterio def. Elijah Burke

Take note of the word "defeat".

17-1.jpg

16.jpg

And thank goodness! As far as I can see no more crap load from the Guerrero/Mysterio storyline this past week. Yey!

Then wwe.com contradicts my opinion:
Although they did battle last week, the family feud between Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero is far from over. With Mysterio looking more focused than ever and seemingly having put the deception and betrayal of former friends Chavo and Vickie Guerrero behind him, he pummeled Chavo into the stands and on the cold concrete arena floor. The confrontation barely qualified as a match – Guerrero and Mysterio may as well have met in the parking lot and brawled bare-knuckle style. This will be the last time either man can make a statement heading into their match at No Mercy. Will Chavo regain his psychological edge? Is Rey Mysterio back and mentally healthy for real this time?

(Sigh) I was watching Surreal Gourmet on Discovery Travel and Living, and it just so happens that they're ep featured WWE. Val Venis, Jim Ross, and of course, Trish Stratus were there. I didn't watch the whole of it because I was watching The WWE Experience on another channel.

Anyway, when I was watching Trish cook (more like help the host), I felt nostalgic. I miss Trish! She truly is the best Diva in history.

(Sigh) memories...

Okay, here's something I wanna say:

I'll take of my problems with the Mysterio/Guerrero storyline if...

At No Mercy Rey and Chavo have a No Holds Barred match. Any match. As long as it's not a regular match. They can have a Lumberjack match if they want to. Put the two in a steel cage, no problemo. Hardcore Match? Why not?!

I watched a Rey vs. Chavo (Though it ended as No Contest) match on The WWE Experience gave me this desire. I was already chanting "No holds barred" in the living room (I was alone in the house, don't worry). Geez, Rey was driving Chavo into the barricades as they were already in the crowds. Sitting Centaun from the barricade and landing Chavo into the conrete floor. Man, that "match" called for aggressive type of matches. I gotta agree with JBL. "This is a new attitude for Rey Mysterio. And I'm loving every minute of it."

There was something there that made me go back and say I'm a fan of Mysterio. I gotta admit, I kind of turned on Rey after he lost the title and watched Cena. Because there's something in Cena that makes me like him that I don't see in Rey: AGGRESSION. Because for me, at the beginning of the ReyChavoVickie storyline, it looked like Rey just sat there and took it. Edge and Cena's story, Cena got screwed at ONS, he took every ounce of gut in him and went through hell to regain the title. He won via DQ at SNME, He was pinned at SummerSlam until he finally climbed the ladder to success (literally) and became a 3 time WWE Champ. Rey, well, WWE gave him only one World Title rematch, but storyline aside... the only reason Rey's current stroyline became a peace of sh*t was because the Guerreros had the upper hand... unfavorable to what the fans want to see.

So, for me, Rey better keep up this 'tude.

Anyway, when I was watching Trish cook (more like help the host), I felt nostalgic. I miss Trish! She truly is the best Diva in history.

Then you should've watched Heat this past week. They did a Trish Stratus special.

At No Mercy Rey and Chavo have a No Holds Barred match. Any match. As long as it's not a regular match. They can have a Lumberjack match if they want to. Put the two in a steel cage, no problemo. Hardcore Match? Why not?!

Unfortunately, we'll have a reagular match scheduled for one pin fall.

Geez, Rey was driving Chavo into the barricades as they were already in the crowds. Sitting Centaun from the barricade and landing Chavo into the conrete floor. Man, that "match" called for aggressive type of matches.

;) and that's why Rey was from ECW before WWE.

Oh wow, how awesome was last night's RAW? Jeff's the new Intercontinental Champion! I feel really happy for him. I especially loved the part when Maria interviewed Jeff backstage and Melina came and was about to drop off a bomb but in the end she shrieked into the microphone and Jeff covered her mouth.

And DX ran RAW after "taking out the trash", which was Jonathan Coachman. Man, they made the Spirit Squad wear girls' cheerleading outfits!

Oh wow, how awesome was last night's RAW? Jeff's the new Intercontinental Champion! I

In the words of Mike "The Miz" Mizanin: Hoo-ra! I so f'n knew it that they were gonna book Jeff Hardy as the Intercontinental Champ.

 Here's something strange. Two nights ago, I was watching ECW. Yeah, as in ECW the one showed on SciFi in the US.

What I was watching: RVD vs. Hardcore Holly. I didn't dare watch the entire show or else my dad and I would've had it.

He'd go on and rant about how wrestling is like this and that.

Anyway, ECW wasn't bad. Although the commentary was deactivated. :D. I didn't know they even had ECW in a Philippine TV Network.

There goes a reason for me to watch Raw this Saturday Night...

... To see Melina have her mouth shut!

I've got pics from the premiere of Cena's movie, The Marine:

marinecenatroops.jpg

Wow. You really get the Marine vibe, eh?

20tripleh.jpg

Ey! One of our DX men!

Of course...

32cenakelly.jpg

The stars themselves: John Cena and Kelly Carlson (Who, BTW, became a guest star on 'Poppin' Tags' or another ep in S6.)

Aw, cool! I am gonna watch The Marine as well then.

Yeah, Kelly Carlson guest starred on CSI. She had a scene with George. That whole "Yeah, it Derk." She played a hooker, you see, and Nick contacted her, pretending to be interested and all that.

Ahem, so this Sunday is No Mercy. Here's a recent announcement:

We've got ourselves a Fatal-Four Way match:

3414066.jpg

But, first, watch out for a Finlay vs. Booker and a Lashley vs. Batista match. Booker and Lashley both had opportunities to pick an opponent for the other. Yeah, Lashley pic an opponent for Booker and vice versa.

^ Fatal Four Way?! No sh*t!

But, first, watch out for a Finlay vs. Booker and a Lashley vs. Batista match. Booker and Lashley both had opportunities to pick an opponent for the other. Yeah, Lashley pic an opponent for Booker and vice versa.

Though Batista and Lashley's match ended as a No Contest, I have this pic to be proud of:

28-1.jpg

They did a handshake before the match and all I gotta say, heading into No Mercy, May the best man win. Of course, I'm only refering to Batista and Lashley.

Okay, I am VERY glad to know that Rey and Chavo's match is a Falls Count Anywhere Match. That's as good as a No Holds Barred match for me.

But this past week on SmackDown! Rey Mysterio teamed up with Matt Hardy to take on the Cruiserweight Champion, Gregory Helms and Chavo Guerrero. Results?

30.jpg

And, for Ashley, moving to SmackDown! hasn't been earning her singles victory.

14-2.jpg

Michelle McCool pinned her. 1. 2. 3.

Nice. That just pumped me up for No Mercy.

Okay, check out these WPs I found (They're only thumbnail views, it's the best I can do):

Ooh, that Jeff Hardy WP oughta be a treat for ya Doreen, eh?

Here is a transcript of a Batista interview I found in the newspaper when he visited here in the Philippines.

(Originally written by Ricky Lo)

DISCLAIMER: This article is not mine. All the exact words and thoughts are of the original writer's. I am just quoting the article.

I want to thank DJ, my friend's six-year-old son, for helping me out with this story. He's an avid wrestling fan who keeps magazines featuring his idols, with David Michael Bautista, or simply Batista a.k.a The Animal, on top of the list, and miniatures of them in their best fighting stance. Obviously, I'm not a wrestling fan. I don't like watching big guys throwing each other around like rag dolls (The scenes are actually scripted and choreographed.

But I have a story to write and Little DJ was such a big help. As a reward, I gave him an autographed copy of the poster announcing the WWE SmackDown! Survivor Series Tour on Oct. 21 and 22 at the Araneta Colisuem, starring The Animal along with fellow WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) superstars King Booker, The Undertaker, Chris Benoit, Sharmell, Cahvo Guerrero and a few other wrestling greats.

When I asked Batista to autograph the poster for our Conversation and I told him it was for DJ, he broke into a gentle smile and said "I'm also DJ, you know. David Jr." That autographed poster made Little DJ's say. He couldn't get over the fact that his idol is his namesake.

Batista was here Friday and Saturday
(September 8&9) to promote the Big Dome show. He guested on Eat, Bulaga! and other GMA shows (Showbiz Stripped included), wowed the crowd duing a motorcade around the Araneta Center in Cubao and sat down for a one-on-one with Conversations.

What makes Batista even more poular especially among his Filipino fans, most of them (believe it or not) kids, is his being half-Filipino. His father is Filipino, his mother is Greek.

This much I learned from the magazine (covered with plastic) I borrowed from DJ:
- Batista stands 6'5" and weighs 290 lbs.
- He has earned numerous titles: World Tag Team Championship in partnership with Ric Flair; the WWE Tag Team plum with Rey Mysterio; the 2005 Royal Rumble crown; and the world heavyweight title which he held for months before he relinquished it last January due to busted triceps.
- He collects lunch boxes and is good at breakdancing.
- At a bodybuilding show in Minneapolis, the future Wold Heavyweight Champion was spotted by professional wrestlers Curt "Mr. Perfect" Hennig and Road Warrior Animal who convinced him to give professional wrestling a try.
-He has a huge tattoo of a dragon on his back that goes all the way to his neck, another dragon tattooed on his right arm, a sunburst tattoo surrounding his navel and a Filipino flag (and under it two Chinese characters which mean angel) on his left arm.

DJ and other Batista fans (kids and kids-at-heart) will know more about their idol- The Animal - from the following Conversation
:
Is it your first time in the Philippines...
"... yes, it is."

Aside from promoting your Big Dome show, don't you have any other plans... maybe visit your relatives?
"I'd like to but there's not enough time. Our two days here are kind of whirlwind. Maybe I'll do that when I come back in October."

How much of you is Filipino?
"Fifty percent."

And how Filipino are you? What sort of upbringing did you have?
"Having been born and raised in America, I'm very Amercanized."

How do you feel being in your dad's homeland?
"It's a pleasure, you know. It feels good. I know some Filipinos in America and I'm happy to know that they are happy with the success that I've had. I always say that I'm proud to be half-Filipino."

Obviously. And you show it by having a Philippine flag tatooed on your left bicep.
"I want to show my roots. People don't believe that I'm Filipino because I'm big."

The two Chinese character below the flag mean angels. Why angels
"They have a special meaning to me."

Have you spent time in your mother's homeland?
"No, I haven't. I haven't been to Greece. I was born in Washington D.C. and I've spent all my life in America."

Is everybody in your family tall?
"My father is six-feet tall."

Was he also into wrestling?
"No. He's a hairdresser."

How many brothers and sisters do you have?
"I have a younger sister and a younger brother."

What do they do?
"They are both in college. They're also sports-minded. My family in general is sports-minded."

I wonder, what sort of diet do you follow?
"I have a pretty normal diet, low-fat."

What did you have for breakfast this morning?
"Eggs and tocino with rice."

How many eggs did you eat?
"Four."

Did you eat only the whites?
"I ate the whole eggs, not just they whites."

What's your favorite food?
"Sushi."

What about Filipino food?
"I like chicken adobo."

And what sort of workput wrestlers like you usually do?
"Workout? To give you an example, this morning I did a 45-minute cardio exercise in my room."

Has anybody every dared challenge you to a fight-- off the ring?
"All the time, from drunks usually."

How do you react?
"I'm a pretty nice guy, you know. I avoid it if I can. I try to talk the person out of it. I'm not a violent person, you know."

How are you like off the ring? How do you unwind?
"You know, I'm a homebody. It's hard for me to go out in public. If I have to, I try to cover my face. Sometimes, I take my kids to the movies. I have two kids."

Any of them would follow in your footsteps?
"No. They're too smart."

Why, don't smart people go into wrestling?
"Had I finished my education, I'd be earning a living with my brain, not with my body. I'd rather have my kids stay away from wrestling and make a licing not in a very physical job. Maybe they can become lawyers and take care of me when I retire."

I understand that your wife is a Filipina.
"Yes, she is. Her name is Angie. She's a cancer survior."

How did you get started in wrestling?
"I studied in a wrestling school. I've been in it for almost seven years. I worked as a bouncer for 10 years."

Have you had any serious injuries?
"Oh yes. Here showing a long scar across the back of his right elbow. I got it when I had about with Mark Henry who weighed 450 lbs."

Oh, a 450-pounder against a 290-punder!?!
"Yes. Anyway, he alighted on me and crossed my arm. I jad several stitches on it. The doctors took a piece of my hamstring muschles and put it into my arm to re-attach it."

Are you insured?
"Oh, sure!"

For how much?
(Simply smiled. No comment)

How many people have you beaten on your way to where you are now?
"A lot of peole! I'm the quiet type of wrestler. You know, a lot of wrestlers are very loud."

You're not the boastful type...
"...not at all. I'm shy by nature. Although I look like a big brute on the ring, I'm realy not like that off the ring. I'm an angel!"

Oh, a gentle giant!
"Sure!"

Don't you have any problem buying clothes off the rack?
"Except for my shoes, size 13, I usually have my shirts and pants made to order."

What advice can you give people who want to be a wrestler?
"It's a hard life. Because I didn't finish my education, my choices have been limited. I advise you to pursue your education first. Make a living with your brain, not with your body."

Well, there you go! My ass hurt from typing and I just hope it was worth it!

Read the interview. :D.

What advice can you give people who want to be a wrestler?
"It's a hard life. Because I didn't finish my education, my choices have been limited. I advise you to pursue your education first. Make a living with your brain, not with your body."

Wow. Let's face it, Batista's right. He's encouraging his fans to live an ambition using their intellect rather than their strength. Good words of advice.

Any of them would follow in your footsteps?
"No. They're too smart."

Yeah, and besides I don't think Batista would want his daughters becoming WWE Divas and throw away the worth of their intellect.

What about Filipino food?
"I like chicken adobo."

General Observation: Filipinos love Chicken Adobo. I love it everytime my mom makes them. You could actually... oh, wait, I'm getting off topic.

Obviously. And you show it by having a Philippine flag tatooed on your left bicep.
"I want to show my roots. People don't believe that I'm Filipino because I'm big."

It's kind of intimidating and condescending that Filipinos who are away from the Philippines show their love for the country and declare their love. While us who are still here in the country are low-key and almost never show any love for the country.

Ironic, right?

Thanks for posting that! :D He seems like a pretty nice guy.

Wow. Let's face it, Batista's right. He's encouraging his fans to live an ambition using their intellect rather than their strength. Good words of advice.

I'd say the same too. I mean, yeah, being a WWE superstar is all glitz and glamour but when you're not that hot anymore in the business, stuff happens.

Well, since tanglewood14 posted a Batista interview, let's do a special feature on The Animal, shall we?

As always, we begin with pictures... (oh, predictable)

qxrwyh.jpg

Shucks, I suddenly felt nostalgic with that pic. That was when... alright, I'll just give you an archive excerpt from powerwrestling.com's SmackDown! results after Eddie's death.

Eddie Guerrero’s entrance music plays and the low rider drives out with Batista at the wheel. Batista gets a mic and he says that if he knows anything about Eddie Guerrero, he would hate to see Batista in the ring crying like a little baby, but he cannot do that because he cannot believe that Eddie is gone. He has been thinking all day and does not know what to say or if he is the right person to come out and speak about Eddie. He wants the crowd to know two things about Eddie. First, he loved his family. Eddie had a lot of demons and troubles in his past, but he fought back from hell to get that back. The second thing was that he loved this business. He lived, breathed, ate, and bled this business. No matter how much pain he was in, when he stepped through the curtain, the pain went away. Batista fights back tears as he continues and the crowd chants ‘Eddie’. His one comfort is that Eddie has found peace and is with God. Batista says that he would give anything to have Eddie back here because he misses Eddie. He will make sure that everyone remembers Eddie. Batista lays the World Title belt on the hood of the low rider and salutes Eddie as he walks to the back and we go to the video package that aired on Raw and commercials.

Speaking of Batista and Eddie's death, I've got another excerpt from powerwrestling.com. This time it's from his video testimonial (yeah, the one that caught me off guard and kind of triggered my tear ducts :D)

Batista talks about how he got a phone call telling him that Eddie was dead and it didn’t seem real. They have become really close and Eddie has helped him. Eddie has given him inspiration to help him out with the tough times that he had been dealing with. He says that Eddie was so funny and so easy to work with. It amazed him because Eddie always seemed to be in pain, but when Eddie walked through the curtain it was gone. Batista says that he misses Eddie. We go to commercial.

And, an icon bonus:
