If you are a Batista fan, you probably don't want to watch this week's ECW on SciFi show. This weeks show was live from the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, and was not an ECW/SmackDown combined taping, so there were nothing in there but pure ECW fans. The main event for that night was Big Show vs. Batista for the ECW title, continuing the trend of WWE Superstar vs. Big Show in an ECW main event. Lets just say the crowd wasn't having it that night. I don't know if it was the crowd tired of seeing the main event on each ECW show being WWE Superstar vs. Big Show (which is what I am tired of seeing on that show), or if it was that they don't like Big Show and Batista. I like Batista myself, but he should NOT have been in an ECW main event, especially in front of a mostly ECW crowd. Of course, being in front of an ECW crowd, the crowd chants came back. The best of them being in the middle of the Big Show/Batista match, when the crowd started chanting "Change The Channel!" The ECW fanbase can be vulgar and sometimes outright rude, but they show that they are the most passionate fans out there, and if they are given a good match, they electrify the match tenfold. Of course, if they don't like what they see, you get a result similar to the Big Show/Batista match.

I do have to say to his credit, Big Show really handled the crowd reaction really well, taunting the crowd every chance he got. Batista, on the other hand, seemed like he was really affected by the negative reaction. I guess he is so used to coming out to an overwhelming positive reaction by the crowd.

^ See? That's why I'm thankful JackTV doesn't have ECW. Like an old saying goes, "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen."

ECW fans are the definition of the human right "Freedom of Speech."

IMHO, ECW isn't working out the way people expected.

I'll say this (again): I don't like ECW. I've spoken too soon about liking it better than WWE, but for confidential reasons, I don't like ECW. Besides, it's not one of my concerns, but I don't disrespect it. I agree with gream reaper 'bout the whole "Stay out of the kitchen" quote. ECW's a dog eat dog world.

Gasp! :D sorry, but I just have to post more pics of my crush/idol:

His smile here is so damn irresistable!

Him biting his lip that way? Heart-stopping! I also like that mask on him. Red and Green. The shirt, too. If I were in a WWE event, I'd buy that in the souvenier shop. (Heck, reminds me of Shawn's little stutter mistake with the whole "wweshop.com" when he read out of from his wrist. Remember that, guys?)

I'm gonna miss him holding that title.

Hot damn! Ahem, excuse me, peeps.

Okay, from Orton to Mysterio. The intervention from Orton worked, now you're just gaga about Mysterio, tanglewood14. And when I say 'gaga' I don't mean the Filipino offensive term, I mean crazy with 'gaga'. ;).

Anyway, IMHO, I think Erica should've been eliminated last week (I'm talking about the 2006 Diva Search). Come on! After the Diva Dance Off, she sucked! She's the former teacher, right?

 When The Miz mentioned her name as to ask the audience for a winner, you could clearly hear "boos" here and there. And while she was dancing, you could see Miz looking at her as if thinking "Can this girl even dance?". All she did was stand there, sway left and right in a vain attempt to be sexy. Then, Maryse had to go.

Er, who was eliminated this week?

Okay, from Orton to Mysterio.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

To answer your Q, Rebecca was eliminated. Damn! She was one of my bets. Anyway, I still have my money on Layla to win.

Hey, Doreen, here's a lil' treat for us:

EXPO_5.jpg

Okay, since these pics contain RVD and Rey Mysterio, that' s why it's a double treat. I think this was at a comic expo and these was sort of recent (but not very recent) and as a conclusion for my observation, men are suckers for video games. They get addicted to it. Look at how Rey and RVD hang up their heads and press on those joysticks. I'm not much of a video game lover.

As for that one pic where Rey's bent over signing something, that's him without the mask. Sorry if it apears tiny. But, I enlarged it (sort of), even zommed in to the max, and it really is him. Duh!

Ookay, erm, I hop this thread isn't being too SmackDown-ish, for you, Doreen. We barely talk about Raw. :D.

I don't know. Everytime the Diva Search comes on, I change the channel. And I don't know if the "boos" are aimed toward one particular contestant, toward The Miz (who is lucky he still has a job) or if it is just general crowd apathy toward the Diva Search in general.

Speaking of Miz, losing Tough Enough back in '04 probably wasn't enough. Like I said before 'bout this Diva Search, just a bunch of women with big chests and can barely throw a punch. Hello, we're looking for wrestlers.

Tonight on SD, it'll be 'Taker vs. Booker. Booker will win, IMHO. And we may finally get the scoop on the Rey/Chavo storyline.

Anyway, I was watching the trailer of [b[The Marine[/b], Cena's movie, and I feel like watching it. Most likely it'll be R13 here and well, there was a crime comitted and Cena's wife was kidnapped and then John has to save her. That easy. Action film, I'm in to the whole action, cool dude thing. Like Bad Boys or Blue Streak. The Marine, though, isn't a cop movie.

Aw, I love video games! Give me anything and a PS2 and I'll sit and play for hours! And thanks for the pics, btw. RVD in a see-through shirt! *dies*

Too SD-ish? I think I'm the only avid RAW fan here. And I don't talk much about SD too, so we're even.

I don't really like the Diva Search contest; it just bores me to tears and I think it's just to get more men to watch WWE.

Diva Search is just a waste of time. Hell, I'm like, more WWE stars, please!

And with The Marine, hmm, I'm gonna try seeing that.

Ookay, erm, I hop this thread isn't being too SmackDown-ish, for you, Doreen. We barely talk about Raw. :D.

I'm not a big fan of Raw either. I only watch because of the DX Craziness.

Hey, tanglewood14, you have a copy of Wreckless Intent, right? I know, you'll say "sort of" ;). Can I borrow it? I know Darell borrowed it and you said she got addicted to BURN IN MY LIGHT (Orton's theme) and I wanna be too!

Here's the official word from WWE w/ regards to the Chavo/Rey conflict:

In other huge SmackDown news, Chavo Guerrero finally went on the record to address his startling actions at The Great American Bash. There, he interfered in Rey Mysterio’s World Championship match and nearly took his close friend’s head off with a chair, allowing King Booker to make the pin and take the gold. Friday night, an emotional Chavo Guerrero made some stunning accusations.

“Rey Mysterio betrayed me,” said a serious Chavo. “Rey Mysterio is a thief. Let me tell you what he stole. He tried to steal the spotlight, my spotlight. He did everything he could to tie himself to Eddie Guerrero because Rey couldn’t stand on his own two feet. I saved you from losing your title over and over. He used the Guerrero name… I’m the Guerrero Rey, not you. Rey, you didn’t just steal Eddie from me, you didn’t just steal him from the Guerrero family, you stole the memory of Eddie from each and every one of those people out there. You’re nothing but a leach living off the blood of the Guerrero name.”

By the time Chavo finished his rant, Rey had heard enough and stormed the ring. The men who were once the closest of friends engaged in fisticuffs which were only broken up when Vickie Guerrero, the widow of the legendary Eddie Guerrero, intervened. Vickie bravely stepped between the two former allies and yelled “enough, enough!” as Rey and Chavo backed off. On Smackdown, what was once an unbreakable relationship between close friends turned into a bitter family squabble in a matter of minutes.

Finally! I think they've already thought of a logical storyline!

Because, storyline wise, a few months before Eddie died, there was a storyline bet. Rey and Eddie revolving around Dominick Gutierrez, aka, Rey's son.

So now, it's like Rey's suddenly the great heir of Eddie?!

Ehm, which side is Vickie on?

12.jpg

They're letting Vickie get involved in this? Hmm, I'll go watch that tonight on JackTV. But, gotta hand it to the bookers, they took the right spots and covered all flaws.

“Rey Mysterio is a thief. Let me tell you what he stole. He tried to steal the spotlight, my spotlight. He did everything he could to tie himself to Eddie Guerrero because Rey couldn’t stand on his own two feet. I saved you from losing your title over and over. I was wondering the same things. Jeez, stoyline was there was a fued between Rey and Eddie and then we have St. Rey Mysterio here.

Ooh, see what I did there? And I bet some might to do. I just turned on Rey!

(Scoffs) Whatever. If Rey comes out at the winning end and I'm fine with the storyline.

Hey, Doreen, here's another treat for us:

normal_arriving3.jpg

normal_arriving2.jpg

The bonus for me: Rey w/o the mask!OhMyGod!

 I'm writing a crossover fic bet. my anime' alias and WWE crushes to create my own little world. :D. Don't ask. It's too weird to be me.

RVD in a Superman shirt?! I prefer Spider-Man myself. :D

Raw tonight! Yay! I restrained myself from reading what happened this week. Yay me.

I did a double take with that Rey pic? Sheesh, I'm not used to seeing the guy without the mask! Anyway, I didn't get to watch SmackDown! last Sunday. Hmm, something's fishy with the WWE sched here.

Hard to believe, eh? Nah. It's just that we're used to seeing Rey with the mask and well, you know... everything's connected.

OMG! Y'all gotta check out the real deal MySpace pages of WWE stars. Hell, they read them. Rey has a vid posted on his profile reading his comments.

Of course, a dedicated fan like me would post a comment :D!

Anyway, I am psyched for Summer Slam, and it'll be available here in the Philippines via PPV. The matches I know are going to happen are:
-John Cena vs. Edge
-McMahons vs. D Generation X
-Undertaker vs. The Great (?) Khali
-Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton

Er, that's all so far.

My prediction: John Cena will win against Edge. DX will defeat the McMahons. Undertaker will finally win against Khali (okay, that's a long shot) and Hogan will beat Randy.

And IMHO, Rey and Chavo are gonna have to face each other at Summer Slam. It's just a guess. :D.
