William/Grissom: Of CSI & Beyond #14

I probably am not as versed in his work as many of you are. However, of the things I've seen (CSI, Manhunter, TLADILA, and parts of Gunshy), I think it's VERY safe to say that his acting skills really came out later in his career. He just keeps getting better!

EXCATLY, good point. I think whoever likes what they like is great for them, not everyone agress on movies, especially his. I was embarassed of "MANHUNTER" Awful, so slow moving and so not up with what's todays standards, if I wanted top watch this type of flick I'd watch "Silence Of The Lambs" he walks around with a frown and a sour face all throughout the movie, and it's so long ago, boring~ and the other one gawd awful:angryrazz:. I like his performaces, in "LONG GONE" "KEEP THE CHANGE" "HARD PROMISES" "THE STAIRCASE" "GUNSHY" "FEAR" where we see his CHARM and his MAGICAL, ENCHANTING, ALLURING acting, and the real Billy personailty. Those other movies just didn't get it for me:(

Hi. I don't come here often but my friend is a huge fan of Billy's and was squeeing cause Fear was on. So I should tell her about this thread.

myfuturecsi: Hey! I NEVER see you on here anymore :( So glad you decided to post ;p Squeeing over Fear is definitely a GOOD thing :p Even being 23 I still squee over Billy...it's so lame of me but it's such an involuntary response ;p

Anyways, I'm very strongly considering spending my evening after work tomorrow with my drinks & popcorn watching Manhunter just to revel in the Will Graham goodness...*sigh* That makes me happy just thinking about it. Mr. Talented there slamming that guy against the car just does somethin' to me  PS- for anyone who cares, I think the Cubbies are going down a bit hard tonight :( *GO CUBS*

The Cubs are getting thumped in LA... bet Billy's on the bleachers downing pint after pint of beer to drown his sorrows!

Personally, Long Gone tops them all for me, but again, I won't get started on that.:p

I had figured it wouldn't turn out pretty....*sigh* I hope he drank an extra pint for me ;) Rough night for all of us ;p :p I think my 2nd ultimate dream is to be at Cubbies game with that man...GOD talk about Nirvana!
Oh God doooon't get her started on that movie! God she will NEVER stop....never never never.... And then when she can't use up any more space on here talking about it, I'LL get to hear about it for weeks! LOL

I'm thinking that I am definitely doing a Manhunter night tonight..it's freezing & gloomy out here again so it'll be PERFECT :)

My family members are at the 4th Cubs vs Dodgers game today in L.A. and the Dodgers have beat 3 out of 4 so far. So I told my daughter if you see Billy, please get his autograph, she goes" hell if I see him, I'm gonna hit him up for the big $16 dollar brewski, he sure can afford it" He'll be sitting in the "box" no doubt, so it would be highly unlikely that he'll be mingling with the common man:cool: And according to some comments from his wife a while back, he doesn't drink anymore:eek:

He's definately developed his acting skills throughout his career. The thing I love about manhunter and tladila is that in that period of his career, it was all about his emotions, his passion and guts rather than his 'craft'. It's why doing Manhunter completely screwed up his mind. Cos he was feeding off raw emotions. And it got to him. Manhunter is definately under-rated, but as a huge movie fan, I can tell you that all proper movie fans know manhunter. Its frequently voted as one of the movies 'you have to see before you die', and is seen as the most superior Hannibal Lector movie. Even over Silence Of The Lambs. I have to say I agree.

And TLADILA, well, you can just see it on his face: he's completely flat out in that movie. Running off pure testosterone. Love him in the film. Sigh............ Richard Chance..........

And I'm pretty sure Billy still drinks - I read a recent fan meeting on wpap and he was drinking Labatts light. And was a bit drunk! Yay Billy!!! :bolian:

I really love Billy in TLADILA and Manhunter just because I think we get to see a lot of the real and uninhibited Billy in them, especially in TLADILA. I get a feeling that Billy was very much like Richard Chance in his younger days. Not to mention I adore his....JEANS!!!:devil: Man Oh Man!!! Talk about being able to turn a woman into someone on hormone overdrive...lol!!!(Not me, of course) ;)

The other thing about TLADILA, is that men remember that movie because of the car chase scene. It's also on a list of must see movies for that very reason.

Now Fear, mmmm....mmmm....the jogging scene, the trashing the boyfriend's house scene, the rescue scene. Pure Billy in all his golden boy glory.

Christine wasn't feeling well on Friday night, but I decided to watch The Beast without her. I have the double disc version....80 extra minutes of Billy to enjoy...woohoo!!:luvlove:
The plot was predictable, the special effects lame, but Billy....WOW!!! He kept reminding me of an older Will Graham and a younger Gil Grissom...not in his mannerisms, but just in his looks. Hot, Hot, Hot!!! I loved the chemistry between Billy and the actress who played his daughter. He was definitely the best thing about the whole movie.

Mark and the boys have gone out to see "District 9", so I think I might watch Hard Promises again. It's been a while since I last saw it...and I need a Billy fix.
Talk to you all later :):)

He's a real scoundrel in "Hard Promises" but soo delightful. And the tight jeans factor. For myfuturecsi if you read this in "Fear", [which I'm posting caps], he comes home from work at one point, and finds his family frockling in the swimming pool, and the camera lens zeros in on his face, and he's so drop dead handsome, those blue eyes:p how Mark Wahlberg messes with him, good acting on all sides. Reese [his daughter] was on Jay Leno a ways back and stated how much "Billy Petersen taught her"

YOU have an extra 80 minutes of PURE BILLY!?!? Oh. My. God. I'm so so so so jealous.....Must have been woooonderful. ;)
I haven't gotten to see The Beast yet :( I guess that, Hard Promises, & Long Gone are the next few amazing Billy flicks I need to purchase ;) Good thing I'm employed. heehee

That sucks Christine was sick :( I will have to watch Manhunter alone, which sucks, but there's nobody around here (Ash is a bazillion miles too far away :( ) who can watch it with me, but I'll do some work while I watch :)
Oh, is District 9 out?! Dustin Lee practically threatened everyone who didn't go see it yet! LOL Silly boy....I wonder if Billy's going to see it. Oh, the man loves Miller Lite, btw. No, I'm not revealing my source. Sorry ;) HAVE A HAPPY BILLY NIGHT!!!!

Then there's his cowboy movies, "Return To Lonesome Dove" & "Young Guns" 2, with his handlebar moustache, and his long hair. But he sure rides a mean horse. Lots of famous actors with him in these two also. Then there's 'Keep The Change" also horsy riding. What can't he do, Oh, dance:( I've seen him slow dance in "The Beast", but no fast dancing. I don't think he'll ever try out for "Dancing With The Stars"

:scream:I will not get started on LG, I will not get started on LG...*holding back on my Long Gone obsession, holding back on my Long Gone obsession....*

Ok, I completely have a thing for that man in cowboy boots! Must be the cowgirl in me lol. So, I am definately a HUGE fan of his 'cowboy movies'...and does that man know how to ride a horse or what?! Sexy, sexy. He needs to let the 'cowboy' in him come out more.;)

Oh britfan, you just had to mention that first scene didn't you?! The bat...the boxers...and nothing else. *slaps self* OK, I'M SHUTTING UP NOW!

BTW, the Cubbies won 3-1 today!

Oh lord...here we go.....RESISTANCE is futile Ash..that's pretty obvious ;p
And yes, you ADORE the cowboy movies Billy's in...You're the biggest fan of his cowboy look I have ever met, and probably ever WILL meet. :)

GO CUBBIES!!! WAY to win (finally)!! <3 <3

I'm sure Billy is THRILLED that Cubbies won...celebration in Billy's honor! WINE for EVERYONE!!

Ash sounds as if she's as bad as BF with long gone - she's TERRIBLE! Britters gets into a right state when she watches it - she goes on and on and on about it :lol::lol:

Not that I don't get into a similar state watching manhunter / TLADILA / gunshy / deadly currents.;) As IF!!! :D

And yeah - GO CUBBIES!!! well done chaps! ooooh - i'll have some wine Crim! Cheers! Plus, the mighty rotherham united won yesterday too - go millers!
