Why Lindsay REALLY Must Go (Pt. 2)

kimmy there's a slightly bigger version, but it's not much larger.

Their little 'quit goofin' off' scene isn't the only one where I noticed unfriendly tension. When Lindsay referred to roaches as New York's mascot and Danny replied with 'watch it Montana.." there was definitely something less than friendly in that. I just hope that if this Danny Lindsay stuff knocks off then that will snuff out anything that made her interesting by association.

And the, "I rock!" thing ... well, I think chaostheory08 just blew away the whole theory of fangirls disliking Lindsay due to 'jealousy' since her male cousin obviously thought that scene was awful too!
He wasn't even a CSI:NY fan. He just watched because all of us were watching it (and oh, because the table wine was monopolized by his sister). So he was sitting on the floor, with the box of wine and when the scene came he fell flat on his back laughing. We paused it because we thought there was something wrong with him.... only to stand up and yeah... "WTfrigginF".

His sister was like, "Oh I'm interested to know what the other lab techs in the lab thought when they saw her do that." Frankly, I would too.

In "The Deep", Danny seemed unaffected by her attempt to flirt. But then again, he could be like us.... he didn't see/get that she was trying to do something.

roximonoxide, count me as another one totally in love with your banner. :D That is so ridiculously hot it's not even funny.

The "I rock!" scene was bad. I admit, I think that would be tricky for anyone to carry off, save for AJ because Adam is the kind of character that when you see him do something like that, it just comes off as endearing. But it just goes to show how pleased with herself Lindsay is--which is irritating, because to the audience, she doesn't seem all that brilliant. Great, she was doing her job--wow!

Lindsay is just damn near impossible to like. I know I've said it before, but I don't want to dislike a character on one of my favorite shows. It's just that time and again, she's so damn annoying and unlikable. Having her for once put aside her own issues to actually support Danny in "Child's Play" would have been a good opportunity to win her some brownie points, but honestly, I don't think she's capable of it.

I was reading the WikePedia page for Lindsey yesterday ... and under "Relationships" .... it said "making love".

Today, I checked it again... and someone changed "making love" to "have sex".

 I just found that soooo funny!

What the ... why would anyone put 'making love' under 'relationships'? Wow, Danny's value is so little his name isn't even worth mentioning?

But yeah, that change is abso-freaking-lutely hilarious. Big difference there!

Well, the header of the thing is Relationships and subheader is "Danny Messer".

There's a part there where they described the happenings of "Snow Day". Someone changed the "making love" to "having sex".

   That is a major difference, yes. The latter is definitely more apt than the former, considering how things have happened this whole season (and how it's going to go).

Of course, these wikipedias are editable by anyone, right? Why do I get the feeling somebody's gonna go straight in and change it back because 'having sex' or 'hook up' is unacceptable to explain D/L?

Top41: Thanks! Much thanks goes out to 1CSIMFan for it though, she painstakingly helped me find the perfect Danny image to shop in there. ^_^

What I found particularly annoying about the whole "i rock" scene was that the little experiment she was carrying out wasn't even her idea! Mac told her how to solve their little issue with the colored flame experiment, she just trial-and-errored her way through it a while and decided she deserved a medal for the same repetitive lab work they ALLLL go through. If she gets through a few hours work and throws herself a party Adam deserves an office like Mac's...

I don't think she is either. She'd have to get past herself to put somebody else first and I just don't see her doing that. Lindsay's favorite person is Lindsay.

I almost cringe anytime I see or hear the words 'I rock'. Our PS2 game Guitar Heroes 3 says "you rock" all the time and I hate to even see that after that scene with Lindsay. Another thing I don't like is Lindsay saying "BOOM". Sorry, but Danny was saying that long before Lindsay came around. Were they hoping to make her look cool by having her say "BOOM"? If so, it totally didn't work.

The thing is with that "boom" -- is the accent -- which Lindsey doesn't have. Flack and Danny do it sooooo well.

If they do, then there'll be someone out there to change it back to 'having sex'. (BTW, I'm part of the WikiPedia clean-up crew ;) haha)

The "I Rock" scene is soooo cringe-worthy. Even thinking about it (and her facial expression in that little 'dance' she did), makes me roll my eyes.

Gah! She's just too self-centered to give a damn about anybody else. If she really was concerned about Danny, she would have made an effort to comfort him or just be that someone he could talk to about what happened, even if she knew how bad she was at that kind of stuff. And asking advice from Mac on how to deal with the situation? BAD IDEA! What the f*ck was she thinking? Come on, even someone emotionally closed-off or someone emotionally constipated could have comforted Danny. Lindsay is that self-centered. Grrr...

Lindsay and cool just don't mesh well together. She just tries too hard that it becomes so unnatural and she just ends up being pathetic. Even if hell freezes over she'll still be the Queen of the Uncool.

^Exactly. Let Aiden say it, and it would work as well as Danny's.

I think they wrote that in to show that "Danny's rubbing off on Lindsey". But hey, didn't work.

*pops in*

About the 'I rock' scene--expressing happiness that you found the answer, sure, go for it. Throw up your arms and have a bad fake-orgasm moment. We've all felt the relief that comes when you finally get the damn answer. More power to ya. However, congratulating yourself with a little dance--especially when you notice that you are not, in fact, alone and instead one of your superiors is standing nearby? Not cool.

I wouldn't have wanted to see Adam in that scene--not if it was exactly the same, I mean. I could see him doing a little 'go me, it's my birthday' dance because he thinks he's alone, but I seriously can't visualize anybody (but Lindsay) honestly looking at another person and basically saying 'I'm the hot sh*t because I did my job.' Buzzuh??

They definitely want Lindsay to be 'cool' and likable. They started with Lindsay the country girl in the big city, isn't she fun and likable because you the anonymous viewer can relate to her?! Then they had Lindsay the poor victim, she's likable because she's got issues and isn't she a woobie?!, but watch her overcome her obstacles (with the magical help of her ZOMG-ALMOST-BOYFRIEND), so she's so strong and cool. Now we've got Lindsay the comic book geek and science nerd, and don't you like her because she's nerdy and you can relate to her?!

Also, I find it ironic that Lindsay called Adam 'socially-awkward' to his face (or ear) in "Can You Hear Me Now?" (which I detested, by the way)--and now who's the socially awkward one? Just because Adam is more bumbling doesn't mean Lindsay isn't socially inept herself. Pot, meet kettle.

*snickers* You nailed it. She reminds me of that irritating girl I knew in highschool who'll be in love with whatever she thinks you're in love with just to get everyones attention.

Even her backstories need propping up now! Her whole bit about laughing Larry's cheap merchandise.. oh.. no wait! That was DON'S bit about Larry, but she managed to ride his coat tails on that one just enough to look way to desperate to be a part of that conversation.

Omg, don't get me STARTED on the phone call to Adam! That WHOLE conversation sends my blood pressure soaring. Since when is it ANYONE'S prerogative to act like a tech's supervisor but Stella and Mac? Honestly, were I work, we have names for people who walk around with a superiority complex telling other people on their level how to do their job... none of which can be repeated on this board for obvious reasons.

And just like you said Fay, who the hell is she to call anyone socially awkward? Maybe it's the writing, maybe it's Anna, but that's just another scene that solidified my inability to like her on any level.
