What's your first, favorite and funniest episode?

A little bit of everything .

I'm really excited to see what happens because it's been so long since we've had a new episode and because I feel so sorry for the guy in the promo. As for the parts they showed about EC I think that some of it is really misleading and we'll see those comments directed towards suspects or having to do with the case and then some of it having to actually do with them. So I kind of imagine how it will go but still it could be practically anything so IDK...:p

In the interest of avoiding two threads with the same discussion, please visit the Spoiler Lab for promo speculation/discussion (which is already taking place there) until the episode thread is posted. :)

Also, let's steer clear of turning this thread into a 'what do you think about the promo/next week's episode' discussion every week as it may confuse the overall purpose of this thread, which I believe was outlined pretty clearly earlier on. Ie: Bloodiest episode, funniest episode, favourite episode, first episode, most embarrassing episode, saddest episode etc.

What was the saddest episode?

I think that it was "The Grave" where H is pondering over his parents death, and the guilt he feels about it.

What was the saddest episode?
In this case I have to choose 3 episodes:

-Lost Son.
The episode in itself wasn't that sad 'cause, when I watched I already knew Speedle was going to die, but the final part from the scene in the locker with Horatio and Calleigh till the end of the funeral....well it was something too sad even for my cold heart.
What made me sad were the looks/teary eyes everyone had during the funeral.
I never thought I could see those eyes before.
The saddest frames were the ones of Calleigh and, above all, Horatio :(

-10-7
Same thing as before, I knew that John Hagen was going to hold his gun on Calleigh's head and that at the end of the episode, he was going to kill himself.
But, when I saw it I still felt for Calleigh and I could help but cry for her especially right after his suicide. I just wanted to hug her.
Plus when that piece of brain fell off the ceiling on her lab coat sleeve, I just felt (IDK how to tell it) frustrated for her. I don't think there could have been anything more frustrating than what happened to her in that moment.
And when she took off her name plate I was pretty sure she was leaving the MDPD, forever, and I really cried. Thank god it actually didn't happen
Not to mention the whole Yelina/Horatio/Ray stuff. It was too sad to see Yelina leaving Miami though she didn't leve it in a sad moment or, better say, because she died.
Still it was so sad to see Horatio letting her go even if, as his brother-in law, she had to go with her husband.
Yep this episode was definetly sad, but still I think it was one of the best finale of season ever:thumbsup:

-Rock and a Hard Place

The storyline was pretty lame but the acting and the final goodbye was something that made me cry for hours, really.
Alexx was one of my fav. characters ever 'cause her character never disappointed me. She was fair, loyal, a mother, a friend... there's no way I can complete this list of Alexx's qualities by the end of 2009 :p.
From the moment when Horatio told her son was going to be released till when she turned the light of her morgue off, I couldn't stop crying.
The dialogue between her and H was so intense that I still remember most of it.
Then, when she left the lab hugging everyone I didn't have teary eyes, anymore, 'cause I cried like a baby since Natalia's hug till Calleigh's one.
When I saw Alexx kinda comforting Calleigh, who was actually crying, I couldn't feel my eyes anymore, there were too many tears in my eyes.
Gosh....I really felt for everyone 'cause I kinda felt they were all loosing a friend or a mother and it was just too sad.
I know that, thank god, she didn't die and she's going to live and work as everyone else, but still it was something too sad for me.

I never thought I would have cried for a TV show, but these were the epioseds which made me cry.

What do I think is the saddest episode?

I think that I am going to have to say Lost Son.
Speedle was always my favorite character, so I was a bit upset about that part obviously.
But I think that the funeral was the worst part of the whole thing. Everyone was sad and crying, which made me upset and want to cry. And they all do like a flinch when the armed forces start the 21 gun salute.
Also, I just think that the team all pulling together for Speed added a layer of humanity and sympathy that we hadn't really seen before.

Okay so skip the question about the spoilers and the misleading promos and the 'what's gonna happen' thing. Let's get onto:

Saddest Episode
Funniest episode
Freakiest Episode
Bloodiest episode
and the original thing 'your funniest, favourite and first episode'

i'm especially waiting ep "And They're Offed", cuz i can't wait find out more about Ryan and Billy.
The second ep that i waiting is "Smoke Gets in Your CSI's", cuz Calleigh and Ryan would be in danger and i'm very hope that we see some nice CaRWash moments :adore:

Stupidest?
I don't know, but the most tiresome was "Wet Foot/Dry Foot." It wasn't the plot that was the problem, and certainly not the acting. I think it was the "pacing" how fast or slow certain scenes took. I was just so bored.

Oh there are lots of stupid episode in this show.

One of the most stupid, IMO, was "Guerrillas in the Mist"
I found stupid the plot since I still don't believe you can vaporize a person. It's like telling me that Saint Clause exist (sorry if I sound cyinic :p)
Plus there were lots of blooper in this episode:
- I could see 2 different Valera's shirts under her labcoat in...10 seconds
- I could see Emily's microphone (or something like this, surely it wasn't a cellphone ) on her back when she kneeled down to take a bullet.
The end of the episode was just way too stupid.

The other stupid episodes I can find are mostly because of the bad writing/ideas of some authors ;)

The dumbest episode? Uhm...Unfortunately I have seen a lot lately, you know, lacks in the plots or things like that.
Guerrillas in the mist was absolutely scientifically idiot and as a scientist I couldn't have not seen it!
Uhm, won't get fueld again had a stupid plot even if the basical idea was good...and the most terrible thing they did was in man down, I don't want to go against who loves Eric Delko but someone with a wound like that survives for a miracle but surely can't be back to a normal life. The little memory loss he has is nothing compared to the real thing, actually people can't walk, speak or furmule understandable thoughts in real life. So the head wound was the dumbest choice from the authors for me if they wanted Delko to come back to his life like that.

"Guerrillas in the Mist" was really bad,one of my least favorites to date.
I said the very same about Eric's return after "Man Down" and got handed my head on another board.Being in the medical field,I know it would have been impossible for him to return as he did.
"How Does That Make You Kill" was also stupid. An IA investigation should truly have been in order for that one.

One episode I can't even watch again because I found so stupid was Cyber-lebrity. The plot was just so ridiculous all these people following around this girl because of posting things on the web and just showing up everywhere. I found it really boring and I just rolled my eyes throughout most of it .

"Man Down" wasn't the most stupid episode of the show, it was the most idiot one ever!
Trust me if I were a MD, I would charge writers and TPTB for having produced such a s**t!
You can't claim your audiance will believe this story.
Delko was shot in his temporal lobe. You know that there are more than one lobes in your brain ;).
Brain damages are always bad, but the ones in your temporal lobe are the worst ones!
They've never been able to get the whole bullet from his had, half of it is still lodged in his tempral lobe.
Let's consider he already obtained a miracle/grace when he survived it, despite the MD who wanted to declare his death.
How can you claim we believe he came back normal??? It's impossible he came back to work, not to mention that he came back without rehab or tutors .
Plus they want to show us he has just some memory lapses . Please, please stop it!!!! At least show him with some headhace, but still it would be stupid considering this episode.
Whenever I watch this episode I feel disgusted, as paramedic!

Sorry if you like Delko, but this episode was just idiot, IMO :p

Ha, stupidest/dumb episode? I'd have to say all of sesaons 4-6...but...y'know. :p

In all seriousness, 'Guerillas In The Mist' was a ridiculous episode all around, first with the gun that makes people go 'poof' and Horatio escaping from his exploding Hummer and then blowing the guy away after.

But Kristine (who does the reviews on CSIFiles) said it best:

Kristine's review: said:
It would make for a nice advertisement for the Hummer, though. "Even if your Hummer goes up in flames...you won't."

Besides that, I didn't much prefer this season's premiere. I think the 'undercover death' thing is horridly tired on television these days and not something Miami's been surpremely good at either, despite the fact that I enjoyed Jon Togo's performance. And also, when you seemingly kill your lead actor and then name the episode 'Resurrection', it doesn't exactly create much worry and suspense.

Saddest episode for me had to be a cross between 'Lost Son', 'Ashes to Ashes' and 'Witness to Murder'.

Obviously 'Lost Son' had character death (my favourite character too) and that's never a picnic with the audience. What was actually the most sad about the episode for me, wasn't the fact that Speedle died, it was the fact that his death was caused because of another gun malfunction. What a way to honour a beloved character. :/ But of course not everyone can go out in a blaze of glory which made his death more realistic but it's still both frustrating and sad to watch.

'Ashes to Ashes' was sad for me on both cases. The priest being murdered by the battered mother and the pregnant woman torched in her own car, leaving the case officially unsolved. And one of the most haunting scenes which made that part of the episode even sadder was the disection of the fetus to get a DNA profile. :(

'Witness to Murder' had me tearing up because I was really rooting for Eugene the entire time, he was such an endearing character and his interactions with Horatio were so humanizing. It such a shame (but on this show, necessary) that he was beaten and died for helping Horatio solve the case but in the end, justice was still served.
