I've now finished 'Deception Point'. It was really good, I did enjoy it. I can't believe the amount of twists it had, one minute I was thinking it was going one way and then 3 pages later I couldn't believe how far off it was. Anyway, it was a very good read. :)

Okay I'm now reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, I have never read any of the HP books and I've really tried to avoid watching any of the movies, as I would prefer to read the books first. :) I'm only one chapter into it, but so far so good. :D

I am on Act 2 of "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote, a classic! I saw the movie Capote and I just had to read the book... very well done if I can say so myself.

I had a question about a book. A few of my friends read the book "House of the Spirits" last year in school. One of them said it was a good book, and had some absurd lines. (I'll put it in spoiler code)
He was so black he was almost blue, in fact he was a blue negro.
Another friend (this one female) said the book was "like reading a porno". The friend who said that is tough and for something to disgust her is hard to imagine.

Has anyone read it, and is it worth reading?

Thanks :)

I just got through reading The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty and currently I'm sniffing around for a copy of Legion.

Right now, I'm reading Wilderness by Robert B. Parker. I've read just about all of the Spenser series except the more recent ones. My favorties:

The Judas Goat

Looking for Rachel Wallace (this one actually makes me cry every time I read it)

Early Autumn (Or anything Paul Giacomin's in...)

Hmmmm, let's see. I like Star Trek novels, especially by Peter David. A really good one is The Lost Years by J.M. Dillard and another is Prime Directive by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens

A classic sci-fi novel that I absolutely love is Rite of Passage by Alexei Panshin. Highly recommended.

And there's a whoooole buncha books I've read, or would like to read, so stay tuned, dolls...

I was reading 'Digital Fortress' but I spend a lot of the weekend reading it. Once I read the first 10 Chapters, I really got into the book.

same here. i read the book within a few days. i think i never read a book in such a short time.

Wibble , you should really read 'angels and demons'. not only the story is great, dan brown also describes rome in a great way. in my opinion 'angels and demons' is better than 'the da vinci code'.

i want a new dan brown book! anyone knows when a new book will be released? :D
I read Digital Fortress overmight coz it was that good!
I love Dan Brown and can't wait for him to bring out something else.
I also like Karin Slaughter. She writes foresnsics/horror and it's very good and scary!

I'm reading In Light of India by Octavio Paz, former Mexican Ambassador to India and poet. Do you know there're around 3000 castes in India, 179 languages and around 544 dialects??? Madness...

After this book, I'm either gonna read Digital Fortress by Dan Brown or Trace by Patricia Cornwell. Can't wait!

I just got done school...so im kind of lazy to finish all my books that i'm reading. But I have 'Prozac Nation' by Elizabeth Wurtzel, 'Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs'by Chuck Klosterman, 'The Da Vinci Code' by Dan Brown and 'The Pact' by Jodi Picoult started. I'm funny.....i get bored of reading just one book, so i start reading a bunch......i definately won't finish reading them all for awhile.

no that schools done i actually have time to read things other than textbooks. i usually just read on my lunch breaks at work. right now im reading 'the undomestic goddess' its hilarious. its from the same writer of the shopaholic series.
i dont really like serious books, i dont have the patience for them. i like funny silly books.

Finished Sophie Kinsella's The Undomestic Goddess. Totally relate, totally recommend!!

There needs to be a film!!

Right now I'm reading

Angelina Jolie's "Notes from my travels"

but I think I'm the only one who has ever read this
which is such a shame...
This is the most honest book I've ever seen
It's sad and frustrating but also heartwarming

due to the fact that here are some dan brown fans (including me!) i did a research about his new book.
the title is The Salomon Key
and it's about:
Ready for some full of conspiracy theories involving George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton and other Founding Fathers of the USA? Then get ready for the next Robert Langdon thriller by Dan Brown which will be set in the nation’s capital. Its plot is built around the murders of several current political leaders by someone with ties to the Freemasons, the secretive fraternity that included some of the Founding Fathers.

i can't find the release date. some sites said april 2006 (maybe in the US, not in Austria) some sites said spring 2007.
