What are some of your favorite CSI:Miami Quotes?

Innocence, the quote with eric to Horatio after the chemical spill in the lab.

Thanks for having my back "H" and "H" says always.

Oh Cal has some great lines...

A few of my favs are:
Stetler: "You don't know my job"
Cal: "Lucky for you I know mine!"

Cal: "But I'm a CSI and a damn good one!"

But I have to stick a H one in too (about Cal!)

H: "Rule number one, Never mess with Calleigh Duquesne, Rick"

Hey guys, is it just me or are we supposed to say why these are our favorite quotes?

What are some of your favorite CSI: Miami quotes and why? In order to make things easier for everyone, please include the character names, and episode the quotes came from.

I'm not a mod and you don't have to listen to me at all but I just wanted to put that out there so maybe some people remember and the mods don't have to come remind us.

So, on to the good stuff. :)

Clavo, from 'No Man's Land': "Oh I'm shakin' in my jumps now, H."

That was when H visited Clavo in prison. I love Clavo, because a) he's a smart ass, b) he's the first one to really challenge H, and c) He and H have a lot in common! He really pisses H off, and they're both so determined, and so when they meet up, it's hysterical to see what comes out of it. Sorry for talking a lot about Clavo, but he's the reason this was so funny!

Also, later, at the bank.
Clavo: "Giddy up, cowboy. And get me a mojito while you're in there!"
Another great Clavo quote. I had to laugh.

Valera: A vile of bile. You're too good to me. Rampage. You can just hear in her voice that she would rather not mess with it.

I loved that quote in 'Spring Break' where Speed told off that guy who was having a party. What was it...it was something like
Speed: "And I'll arrest your tequila-pushing ass and you can spend all night in a holding cell smelling the rotting vomit of the fraternity boys."
I spelled everything wrong, and the quote may be a bit off, but I just loved how he got the guy to get the hell out of there. And the way he said it made me laugh!

I think this is it...

Ted: Hey! Buddy! Hey, you want to get this moving? Ted Zink, Matraca Tequila. You're in my party area.
Speed: Your what?
Ted: We're hosting a big event for the Greeks. Part of our spring break marketing package -- Lauderdale, Daytona, Miami Beach. We take the party wherever the kids are. You know, you hook 'em young, they're yours for life.
Speed: Sir, can you read the yellow tape there? It says 'crime scene.'
Ted: Hey, I got a permit to be here.
Speed: Ohhhhh, you've got a permit!
Ted: Yeah, that's right. From Parks and Rec.
Speed: [getting out cellphone] Well, I'm going to let you tell that to the parents of the girl who got murdered here last night.
Ted: Woah, wait a minute--
Speed: I'm going to let you tell them that we can't process this crime scene because you have a permit for a party.
Ted: You misunderstood me.
Speed: Then I'm going to arrest your cheap, tequila-pushing ass, and have you spend the night in lockup, with all the drunk-and-disorderlies, and you can smell the vomit of the fraternity boys.
Ted: You know what man, maybe I should just ah, wait, until you're finished.
Speed: That's a capital idea, Ted.

I miss Speed. He was hilarious.

Thanks for writing that whole thing up! I loved that quote...I love Speed! *sigh* Only a guy like Speed could survive all these years dea- I mean undercover- and still be one of the most popular threads. :D
Thanks Boa_Vista_Fan!

it sure is cainesugar but I won't go off topic*tilts beak to IAB...I mean mods ;) *
I love that quote too-so truely speed

ooooooo great idea for a thread too many to chose from-some of my fav's are the ones where h is being a leader-like Eric in extreme:

Eric: How do you suggest I walk that line
H: carefully

(Tinderbox)
Fire Marshall: what about the guilt?
H: The guilt makes us sharp, it makes us better

Stripper: What do you what for this
H: I want you to take the day off
Stripper: What about tomorrow?
H: Tomorrows what you make of it.

True leadership from H...sooooo inspiring its great.
Another great one which is just so telling about a relationship in just a few words-me and sis love this quote:

H: I'm up with the current software
Megan: I didn't say anything
H: ooooo you didn't have to!

Just so funny and yet so telling....
I coul go on all day but I'll stop now

H: I'm up with the current software
Megan: I didn't say anything
H: ooooo you didn't have to!

Just so funny and yet so telling....

Oh yeah it's the way he says Oooo that does it!

I love the quote some of the more playful banter quotes that they used to specialise in in the earlier series's

Speed: "I have a murder weapon of a different variety" (ladies underwear)

Calleigh: "I don't think you and I are oing to the same places Valera!" It's the shock in Calliegh's voice here that makes this one so good!

H: "Depends whether you like seeing men dress up in your underwear or not"
Cal: "Personally leather chaps nothing else..that was a joke"

I just love these because it shows the relationship between the team when they were easy and fun

Blood Brothers; (Eric picks up rat from trash ship)

Eric: "hey Speedle", how did this rat get from your apartment to here?

Speedle: "yeah", thats funny.

Calleigh to Ryan: Well, that's a- that's a nice save. Rio. Love her smile here.

Calleigh: What are you waiting for?
Ryan: No. There's nothing that says I've got to take a trainee with me; I can process a crime scene myself, thank you.
Calleigh: That's true, but you won't.
Ryan: Are you sure you want this to be your first act, ah, as boss for the day?
Calleigh: It's my fifth. Get going.
Also from Rio. I love how she makes Ryan do exactly what he doesn't what to and gives him her smart, sassy smile while doing it.

There's another one by Calleigh where a suspect tries to flatter her by calling her a secretary with a gun.
Calleigh: "I can type almost as well as I can shoot." Then she summarily tells him that flattery will get him nowhere. I have no idea what episode this is from though. I love the way she makes him think the flattery's working and then in the next breath sets him in his place.

It's not a quote...not really...but Just after Speed died...Calleigh is upset... and Horatio is like "Maam..." And holds his arm out. She gratefully accepts the Hug.... Awwww!!!!!! He says something like "Hang in there. Ok?" OMW...Horatio is SOOO SWEET!!!! We need to see more H and C moments methinks...:)

Then you may be interested in viewing the Horatio/Calleigh thread located in Shipper Central. ;)

In the interest of those who don't prefer a particular pairing or who simply don't ship at all, please keep any shippery discussions in their appropriate forums in Shipper Central. Thanks! :)

Well, is it ok if the quote is shippy? I just thought I'd ask because most of my favorite quotes are my favorite quotes because they say something good about my ship...but if you'd rather not have that I can post a non-shipperish quote, like:
Here's what ThumpyG42 said.
You may post any quotes from any characters you wish as long as it's from CSI: Miami. Just as long as the thread doesn't turn to ship discussion it's fine.

Besides, shippy is in the eye of the beholder. What one views as a ship quote someone else won't view the same way.
So I think it's Ok to post shippy quotes like Thumpy said but not discuss ships like speed_cochrane said. just to get that on this page.
^ But a question- what if we comment on the quote that happens to be shippy, because we're supposed to say why we love the quote, is that shippy discussion? I'm just trying to understand better so I don't make any mistakes.
Thank you in advance, guys! :D

Well one of the reasons I said my post above, was just a small refresher in case the shippy discussions started, which is what we tend to avoid. Better safe to take the majority of pairing discussions to Shipper Central right? :)

However, for example, if I decided to use a CaRWash quote for one of my favorite quotes:

Calleigh: (to Ryan) Thanks babe.

Since she said it to Ryan, I can interpret it as my favorite pairing, or I can think of it as something cute Calleigh said in the scene (And of course backing it up with something like "For her to say something like that, it's so out of character and I liked her delivery of the line, because it showed her gratitude and showed they are part of the same team" etc) no matter if I think they should be in a relationship or not. I'm not saying that people should drop their pairings at the door, but there are ways to explain why any particular quote may be your favorite without it turning into a Shipper fest in here.

Then again, I could post one of my favorite, say, Talleigh quotes and then go on a huge explanation about how they should be together because of the particular line, so it was my favorite. See the difference? In the end it all comes down to the fact that this is CSI:Miami, and the writers put something down on paper that we loved and it just stayed with us.

That being said, if we really wanted to discuss our favorite quotes re our pairing, that's why Shipper Central was created. ;)

And like I alluded to before, just because a quote is considered 'shippy' by fans of a certain pairing, doesn't mean that those who ship differently or don't ship at all will view the same quote as a 'shippy' quote. ;)

But to back up what speed_cochrane said, while we won't come down on anyone who says that they like a certain quote because it supports their ship what we don't want to see is long detailed descriptions of why they feel said quote supports their ship. Those are better left discussed in the appropriate threads in Shipper Central. The reason for that is to not only keep this thread on topic, but to make the thread enjoyable to read/participate in for everyone. Besides, there's more to discuss about our favorite quotes than just ships, right? ;)
