Now after seeing Catherine last night...
and I know.. it's probably not going to happen but
I was yelling at her.. YOU KNOW WHO TO CALL!!!
and I think this is the third place I have posted this

LOL! Yeah Vartann has the right attitude to help Catherine, he can be really protective but at the same time knows when to keep his distance and give Cath her space. He was protective of Cath in Bang Bang and he kept his distance in Weeping Willows when Cath was processing a scene..
But Cath she has a different plan in her mind we're just gonna have to find out about it in the next episode.

I wanted to post this before this thread disappears...

This is why I think this relationship SHOULD work, but if it doesn't then I have said my peace..

First
When I started watching CSI It was Grissom I was attracted to, all the mystery etc.. that surrounds him, then as I watched more and more episodes it was Catherine that I stared to enjoy also.
I watched her grow from Season 1 up to now, she became more comfortable in her job, Grissom obviously thought she could handle being a supervisor, she did right by her daughter by taking that position to spend time with her, she made sure Lindsey was in 'the right school' so her character changed some to accomodate her job.
When it came to men, she did what lots of women do ,either meet them on the job, ( the guy who owned the Acid Drop, Vartann) or in a bar, and like some women didn't have the best luck with them either, ( Weeping Willows) I can't remember the characters names.. just episodes
So when meeting someone like Vartann it was , to me, a easy pariing...

Which brings me to Tony Vartann

He is mysterious too, several people Including myself want to know more about him, his charater, personal life etc...
which in my opinion is what makes him so appealing.. And Catherine is a woman who secure in herself has put her past behind her, and wants/needs someone stable in her life for not only her, but her daughter
and in my opinion that is him..
He is stable, isn't a 'dirty cop', works well with CSI'S
and the few comments he has made that have been less than nice again are few and far between compared to the 13 or so episodes he has been in

So taken these two who are obviously dedicated to their jobs and are pleasing to the eye
why not have them as a couple
but since I have yet to see Alex Carter anywhere in the upcoming episodes for Season 7 this relationship is not going to work
and the way it looks like Catherines' story line is going.. again..


It's just a nice fantasy to see two smart attractive people such as these two ,who DO NOT WORK TOGETHER! have a nice sublte relationship

You guys it feels like ages i haven't been in the thread, (work + moving in a new apartment took much of my time), how was CSI 7 premier?? What do you mean hhunter that there is no Det. V in the next epies???
And what about Cath's story line?? I know, i know too many questions, but...pleaseeee fill me in! (In my part of the world S7 will take some months before it gets to the DVD stores)

As far as I know, and a few others have said Vartann is not in any upcoming episodes.

I know, bummed me out too...

And FYI, A Bullet Runs Through It will be on SpikeTV on Sunday Oct. 1st
a very good episode overall but a good Vartann episode as well

Ok, I'm here again
I watched A Bullet Runs Through It and Bodies in Motion
Sunday and Monday
they never really looked at each other in either episode
do you think that's because they like each other?
I know in Bodies in Motion she was kinda taken back by the news that Warrick got married, do you think that could turn her towards Vartann?

Oh I loved that scene between the three in BIM I thought Vartann was really funny with his "Congratulations. How much did you pay her?" joke. Glad we saw his funny side in that ep.
I thought that the atmosphere was so stressful in ABRTI so Cath and Vartann didn't have the time to give each other some lingering looks but who knows they couldve given each other some stolen glances.

yeah, he was totally cute..
yes it was really stressful, so I understand why everyone wanted to find out what exactly happened
IMO, ONE OF THE BEST CSI EPISODES EVER!.. ABRTI
yes and who knows about the glances .. they both are very professional so nothing should/would distract them (except maybe each other )

Off topic... LOVE McSTEAMY!

And... Viva Las Vegas is on TONIGHT on Spike... where it all started !

Saw Viva Las Vegas yesterday
I fogot that is when 'the other guy' cheated on her..
poor Cath
but more incentive for Vartann
and the famous line..
"why can't you guys ever hit the bowl?" the look on his face was pretty good
and when he said something like, "your lucky this guy wasn't on Viagra, or he would have hit the celing instead of the floor.."
How do you know about Viagra Detective Vartann? he he he :lol:

LMFAO! Heather I never thought of that.. yeah Vartann how do you know a lot about viagra. :lol: And i love that he's a funny guy cuz he can keep up with Cath's wit.

And this is my favorite cap from Viva Las Vegas.. even if we can't see Vartann's face we can see his crotch?!?!

Yeah and Catherine got an eyeful in that scene, lol! Lucky Cath. And when I saw that cap all I could remember was the Vartann/Cath shower scene in your fic... Hotness ahoy! :devil:

And this is their 'I-gotta-go-and-process-the-scene-now-honey-see-ya-later' pose. They love doing this, I think they have a similar scene in Weeping Willows.

I wonder what will Vartann do if he was the detective in toe Tags.. I thought Brass was really nice and sympathetic towards Catherine. Probably Vartann would've done the same, he would probably ask her to take a break if processing a crime scene on her dad's casino would make her uncomfortable.
