and do you remember what episodes they have been in together?

Hey, has anyone heard the same thing I have? That Det. Vartann is going to be in one of the season openers. Obviously we hope it's going to be the one where Catherine is involved.
and If not, then hopefully he will be in some episodes with Catherine in the upcoming season.

Oh that's cool if he is indeed part of the season opener. He's also now in the show Jericho right? Whew, I thought he would leave CSI for that project.. good thing he is still on CSI.
Catherine would definitely need a detective as a partner, I mean to assist her :lol: in Season 7.. and Detective Vartann would be perfect for that.

I thought I read that, he will be in the season opener, TOE TAGS , the one with the "talking" corpses. Should be interesting, I do want to know if he is going to be in the episode where Catherine is "in trouble".

Either way, it's great to hear he'll continue his appearences in CSI, for a moment Hottie_cath i was also kinda afraid he would leave CSI, thank God he managed to fit both shows in his program...poor guy...too much work for him!

hhunter on an earlier post of yours, we see Vartann in Big Middle as well (without Cath of course), but do we see V&W together in Iced? (i thought he was with Ecklie in that one...). Speaking of Iced, did you notice that when the old lady asked V about being married or not he seemed not to know what to say (in contrast to Ecklie who answered right away). This made me think that either:
a) He did not want to answer because this was a personal question and he could not spent time chating, while trying to solve a case
b) He really could not give a single answer...which made me think he might be a widower...he seemed really embarrassed when the old lady asked him...

What do you think?

I think you are right FallenforGrissom, he has been married or was going to get married, something like that, he probably thought it was too much of an explanation to go into to answer
and I knew that he and Catherine were not on the case together in Iced, I liked watching him solo as well.
and I have my own opinion on his married/girlfriend thing...
that he was married or a widower, I agree with that, that's why he winced at the comment in Iced, are you married?

I think it looked like he was going to say "divorced", but seeing as how Ecklie also had said "divorced", he didn't want to tell the older lady that too, because she just said she'd been married to the same man for 30 years.

I really can't see V as a divorcee, though. I see him more as a playboy-type - not yet finding the woman who could actually get him to want to propose and settle down.

No, V&W did not work together in iced. V did know that Cath was out on a case, though! I wonder how he knew that?!

what i really love about those two its that it really could work well. they are both drop dead gorgeous and single and for once Cath would have someone who understand her job and doesnt cheat on her like the stupid club owner guy. its kinda weird to think that we had this idea but the csi writer didnt! I'm sure that Cath would be happy with a detective!!!

I couldn't agree more
they are both very good looking and about the same age (I'm guessing) and have some "life experience" meaning not just their jobs but other experiences in life, Catherine with her daughter, etc...
And I'm surprised also that no one else has put these two together on the show

I saw just now that Alex Carter is in a Lifetime movie with Kim Bassinger, and is in some episodes of Jehrico, I hope he still is in some episodes of CSI with our Catherine
It would break my heart if he left CSI
Then what would Catherine do?

Oh I saw the sneak peek for the pilot of Jericho.. and Alex Carter is indeed there. He plays a firefighter. Alex-Jericho 1, Alex-Jericho Jericho 2
I do hope he would still be doing CSI though. The show needs its hot detects! David Berman is in the new show, Vanished but he's still on CSI so there's still hope for Cath&Vartann scenes in the next episodes, lol.
